Park Bo Gum's 'Good Boy' confirms premiere date

Good Boy, starring Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seok, has been confirmed to premiere on May 31. 

Good Boy is an action comedy drama where medalists turned police officers, wearing police badges instead of medals around their necks, fight against corruption and injustice. 

Park Bo Gum transforms into Yun Dong Joo, a special force officer and an Olympic gold boxing medalist who became a police officer through special recruitment.

The teaser poster gives a glimpse of Park Bo Gum's striking transformation. After more than six months of intense training — "one hour of strength training and two hours of boxing practice every day" — his tireless efforts are hinted at in the teaser poster, which shows blood streaming down his face, a tightly bandaged and clenched fist, and a gaze burning with determination.

The actor commented, "Unlike those who act unscrupulously and habitually break the rules, I approached Yun Dong Joo with the belief that he pursues justice without calculation and protects those with good hearts."

The production team stated, "Good Boy is not just another action investigation drama, but a story about how young people, when faced with harsh realities, choose to pursue justice. The teaser poster serves as the first visual that encapsulates Yun Dong Joo's instincts and emotions."  

They added, "Park Bo Gum put in immense effort, even undergoing weight gain to portray the character convincingly." "We are confident that viewers will see a new side of Park Bo Gum never seen before. Please look forward to the fiery youthful energy he will showcase through Good Boy." 

Good Boy will premiere on May 31. The K-drama will be streaming on Prime Video.
