Spooky in Love has unveiled a teaser.
Spooky in Love is an occult rom-com that follows hotel heiress Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), who can see ghosts, and passionate prosecutor Ma Kang Wook (Yang Se Jong) as they team up to solve cases.
The teaser follows the sharp, scrutinizing gazes of employees towards Cheon Yeo Ri, the heiress of the Reina Group and the CEO of Korea's most prestigious luxury hotel.
The employees believe that Yeo Ri's behavior — pretending not to notice people even when she sees them, stressing the need to "keep distance" while blocking others' approach with her gloved hands — stems from a sense of entitlement born of privilege, as though she regards them as invisible.
As the employees continue to badmouth her among themselves, saying, "I wonder why the ghosts haven't carried her off yet," the teaser reveals why she keeps her distance. Every night, mysterious guests who are invisible to everyone else come to visit Cheon Yeo Ri.
Lying in bed, Cheon Yeo Ri snaps her eyes wide open, as though sensing an unfamiliar presence, and begins carefully scanning her surroundings.
After spotting the being that has entered her home with her own eyes, Yeo Ri — remaining on high alert — addresses it, saying, "Go on, hurry," displaying a reaction that suggests she is already accustomed to such encounters.
The question remains whether Yeo Ri — who must endure people's sharp judgment and pointed stares in order to protect her secret — will finally be able to escape the endless visits from the dead.
