Choi Won Young confirmed to star alongside Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min in 'Dear Bandit'
JTBC officially confirms the cast lineup of the upcoming K-drama Waiting for Gyeong Do.
On March 25, it was officially announced that Park Seo Joon, Won Ji An, Lee El, Lee Joo Young, Kang Gi Doong, and Jo Min Kook will work together to bring out the story of Waiting for Gyeong Do.
Waiting for Gyeong Do will depict the story of a man and a woman who met and fell in love when they were in their twenties and got reunited at an unexpected moment in their lives.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Im Hyun Wook (King the Land and Reflection of You) and writer Yoo Young Ah (Dog Days, Thirty-Nine, Kim Ji Young: Born 1982, and Encounter).
Waiting for Gyeong Do aims to premiere in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively air on JTBC with 12 episodes. It will be part of JTBC's Wednesday and Thursday K-drama timeslot.
Park Seo Joon will portray the role of Lee Gyeong Do, an entertainment reporter for Dongwoon Daily. He struggles after facing his ex-girlfriend Seo Ji Woo once again. The two got to meet after so long due to the affair scandal of Seo Ji Woo.
Won Ji An will give life to the role of Seo Ji Woo. She is the second daughter of Jarim Apparel. She is known for being a troublemaker celebrity. She was Lee Gyeong Do's first love. She got divorced due to the affair scandal of her husband.
Lee El will be Seo Ji Yeon in the series. She is the current CEO ofJarim Apparel. Unlike her troublemaker sister, she is the smart and calm one.
Lee Joo Young will play the role of Park Se Young. She is a member of the theater club Jirimeolryeol, alongside Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo. They spent their youth together. Currently, she works as the head of an art academy and supports her husband Cha Woo Shik in his every endeavor.
Kang Gi Doong will be Cha Woo Shik in the series, the husband of Park Se Young (Lee Joo Young's character). He is an aspiring actor and also a devoted husband to his wife.
Lastly, Jo Min Kook will be Lee Jung Min in the K-drama. He currently operates a used car business. He is also the one who connects the members of the theater club Jirimeolryeol. He usually arranges the meetings of the club to maintain their friendship.
