Lee Min Ki and Chae Hyung Won to work together as grim reapers
Song Joong Ki has been cast in the upcoming KBS drama Love Cloud.
On May 14, KBS revealed that Song Joong Ki has been cast in Love Cloud. Regarding the broadcast schedule, a KBS representative stated, "It is scheduled for the first half of next year." According to industry sources, filming has already begun.
Love Cloud is a rom-com that tells the story of a former flight instructor and a former trainee pilot who reunite seven years later in Jeju as an air traffic controller and a pilot.
Song Joong Ki will play Kang Woo Joo, who works as an air traffic controller. Park Ji Hyun is in discussions to play pilot Ahn Ha Nee.
The project is drawing attention as Song Joong Ki's return to KBS dramas for the first time in about 10 years since the 2016 drama Descendants of the Sun, which also cast Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, and Kim Ji Won in lead roles. He enjoyed immense popularity both in Korea and internationally through the KBS 2TV drama, which was a major hit at the time, recording a peak viewership rating of 38.8%.
