China issues rules to regulate actor billing order disputes in TV and web dramas
The King’s Warden has surpassed the 13 million moviegoer mark, joining the ranks of Korea's all-time box office hits.

Distributor Showbox announced that, as of 9 a.m. on March 15, the historical K-movie The King’s Warden had surpassed 13 million moviegoers. It reached the milestone within just 40 days of its release on February 4.
The King’s Warden is has now become the eighth Korean film to hit the 13 million milestone, others being The Host (2006), The Admiral: Roaring Currents (2014), Ode to My Father (2014), Veteran (2015), Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017), Extreme Job (2019), and 12.12: The Day (2023).
Moreover, on March 11 itself, The King’s Warden had overtaken the 2024 occult horror Exhuma after it surpassed the 12 million moviegoers mark.
Making this achievement especially meaningful, the production team also unveiled images that included the names of 130 audience members who took part in the nameplate certification event.

Showbox expressed gratitude, saying, "Thanks to all the dear companions of The King’s Warden, the film has surpassed 13 million moviegoers."
It added, "All 13 million citizens who have been with The King’s Warden beyond the 130 minutes are companions of the film as well."
Set in 1457, The King’s Warden tells the story of a headman who voluntarily makes the village an exile site to revive it, and of a young former king who has been dethroned and sent into exile. The K-movie stars Yoo Hai Jin, Park Ji Hoon, Yoo Ji Tae, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Min.
