Choi Won Young confirmed to star alongside Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min in 'Dear Bandit'
The official cast of the upcoming ENA K-drama My Golden Star has officially been confirmed.
On March 24, it was announced that Uhm Jung Hwa, Song Seung Heon, Lee El, Oh Dae Hwan, Jang Da A, and Lee Min Jae will work together for the upcoming K-drama My Golden Star.
My Golden Star will tell the story of a top young actress whose career is abruptly interrupted by an accident. Twenty-five years later, she navigates a comeback, facing the challenges of a significant career gap.
This will be the next joint project of director Choi Young Hoon (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise and One the Woman) and writer Park Ji Ha (Miss Night and Day). The two previously worked together in the K-drama Good Casting.
My Golden Star has already begun filming. The K-drama will premiere in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively air on broadcast network, ENA.
Uhm Jung Hwa will give life to the role of Im Se Ra/Bong Cheong Ja. She is a former top actress whose life changed completely after an incident. She lost 25 years of her memories as well as her career. She is now a middle-aged woman who will try to regain not only her memories but also her career as an actress.
Song Seung Heon will play the role of Dokgo Cheol. He currently works as a traffic enforcer and goes undercover as an artist manager. He was once a top detective but because of an incident, he got demoted as a traffic enforcer.
Lee El will play Ko Hui Yeong in the K-drama. She lived in Im Se Ra's shadow when Im Se Ra was at the top. After an incident, Ko Hui Yeong seized the opportunity to rise to fame and has now become a top star. However, rumors of Im Se Ra's return to the industry have begun circulating, causing Ko Hui Yeong to worry.
Lastly, Oh Dae Hwan will portray the role of Kang Du Won, the CEO of Two-One Entertainment. He rose from Im Se Ra's overlooked road manager to a powerful figure in the entertainment industry. However, the possibility of Im Se Ra's comeback has put him on edge, leading him to monitor her every move.
