The highly anticipated Chinese mystery thriller Unveil: Jadewind has confirmed its premiere date for February 5.
The drama is adapted from Sen Lin Lu's novel 唐宫奇案之血玉韘 and follows Li Pei Yi of the Inner Court Bureau and Xiao Huai Jin of the Astronomy Bureau as they investigate bizarre, eerie cases and uncover hidden secrets of the palace along the way.
During the Shangyuan (Lantern) Festival, Princess Ning Yuan dies under mysterious circumstances at a night banquet, and Li Peiyi, the Lady of Fuchang County, and Xiao Huai Jin of the Astronomy Bureau are ordered to investigate.
Li Pei Yi possesses elite combat skills and a keen ability to read people. Cold on the outside but kind at heart, she is relentless in her pursuit of the truth. She joins forces with Xiao Huai Jin — meticulous and equipped with exceptional memory.
Together, they unravel the case layer by layer, following clues through the domineering daughter of a powerful noble and an Imperial Guard commander harboring secrets, ultimately uncovering the truth and identifying the real culprit.
More cases that entangle the fates of women in the inner court of the Tang Palace follow. As they work through these cases, Li Pei Yi and Xiao Huai Jin also gradually uncover the truth behind the Li family's annihilation fifteen years ago.
In the course of pursuing the truth, Li Pei Yi not only clears her father's name but also gains companions who stand shoulder to shoulder with her, forming deep bonds and finding redemption.
Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue star in the lead roles of Li Pei Yi and Xiao Huai Jin, respectively. Joining them are Annabel Yao, Zhao Qing, Zhao Yi Qin, and Zhang Wei Na.
