Lee Jong Suk in talks for new K-drama by 'Hotel del Luna' director
Chinese historical Fight for Love has confirmed its premiere for October 30.
The drama tells the story of Chu Yu, the daughter of a great general, who — after her family is wrongfully accused — assumes the identity of the Wei family's eldest daughter-in-law and joins forces with the family's youngest son, Wei Yun, to uncover the truth behind the deaths of seventy thousand soldiers. As they resist the Northern Di invasion and expose a conspiracy in the royal family, they protect the peace of the nation through a mission to destroy the secret passage in the snowy mountains.
Chu Yu's father dies in battle, and her gravely injured brother tells her that there is far more to the matter than it seems. She vows to uncover the truth at all costs. The Wei family suffers a devastating defeat in a battle, with only the youngest son, Wei Yun, surviving. Chu Yu comes into the Wei family, assuming the identity of the late elder brother's widow to carry out her investigation.
At first, Wei Yun is wary of her, but over time, he is moved by Chu Yu as they get along. Throughout their journey, they face life-and-death trials, uncover secrets, and protect their nation and its vast, beautiful lands.
Victoria Song stars as Chu Yu, and Ding Yu Xi as Wei Yun.
Joining them are Fu Xin Bo, Joe Chen, Liang Xue Feng, and Cao Jun, among others.
