Netflix has confirmed Weak Hero Class 2's premiere for April 25.
Weak Hero Class 2 is a tale of growth and survival of model student Yeon Si Eun (Park Ji Hoon), who transfers to a new school carrying the trauma of failing to protect a friend while standing against violence. Determined never to lose another friend again, he confronts greater violence, unfolding a desperate struggle for survival.
Director You Su Min, who led Weak Hero Class 1 to success by breaking away from the clichés of the school drama genre and incorporating unique action sequences, teams up once again with executive producer Han Jun Hee.
With Park Ji Hoon at the forefront, the sequel introduces a fresh lineup of young actors, including Ryeo Un, Choi Min Yeong, Yoo Soo Bin, Bae Na Ra, Lee Min Jae, and Lee Jun Young.
Adding to the anticipation, the newly unveiled poster and teaser give a glimpse of what's to come. Despite being covered in wounds, Yeon Si Eun's unwavering, fierce gaze hints at a battle far from over. The text, "Stand To Protect It," further fuels curiosity about the greater violence he will face at his new school while carrying the weight of past trauma.
The teaser commences by showing Yeon Si Eun's desperate struggle for survival in this new chapter. As he engages in a fierce scuffle against Geum Sung Jae (Lee Jun Young), he says, "Su Ho, I got into another fight. I'm sorry."
In Season 1, Yeon Si Eun broke out of his shell after meeting Ahn Su Ho (Choi Hyun Wook). However, now, his slumped shoulders and empty gaze vividly reflect the scars of his past. Marked by the pain of failing to protect his friend, he has lost his smile and isolated himself from the world. Yet, despite his attempts to stay in the shadows, rumors continue to follow him, refusing to let him be.
New faces — Park Hoo Min (Ryeo Un), Seo Joon-Tae (Choi Min Yeong), and Go Hyun Tak (Lee Min Jae) become a part of Yeon Si Eun's journey. Though he once insisted he was better off alone, building an impenetrable wall around himself, these friends persistently knock on his door, offering their hands.
Slowly, Yeon Si Eun begins to let them in. He says in his trembling voice — "I had forgotten… how great it is to have friends."
However, Eunjang High School is not free from violence. Greater threats loom both inside and outside the school, pushing Yeon Si Eun's rage to its limits. Eyes locked on his opponent, he gives a chilling warning — "Don't cross the line."
