About the Criminals in Brief

Not going to lie, I was getting all confused about who is what is why and how in the Min-Oh Dollar-Russian connection till episode 13 and 14. Especially paternity got me all confused. I'm still confused by some of what happened and why(lot of which is not mentioned in that one 2008 story). Plus I don't remeber a lot and I may have gotten some things wrong. 

Part A

(Timeline notes- at the start of the Kdrama, episode 1 is 13th May, 2025 and at present, by episode 14 it is around October 2025. Most of the past events occured in the year 2008)

Bagboy 

• episode 1
• 35 years old
• Golden Bunny Gang's errand boy
• Is the one who alerts his boss the police are looking for Golden Bunny in RIU's operation Bunny Hunt after an explosion goes off
• This explosion that caused a fire was arson and the fire trucks were called before the flame-out, the first proof of there being a mole in the police 

Golden Bunny 

Boss of the Golden Bunny gang (real name: Lee Sang-gon) [deceased - killed by Baek]

• (also written as "Golden Rabbit")
• Characteristic: 
  • 40 years old
  • "The gang's boss with golden teeth" - the middle, top two incisors are gold
• He knew of Min Ju-yeong's cash containers 
• He and his gang used to take care of deals with the Yakuza, smuggling middlemen and various warehouses
• His brother is said to be better at fighting than him but he became the leader due to his soft skills
• Korea Custom Service's Lee Jin-su had been the informant who reported Golden Bunny gang's smuggling operation which leads to an investigation by Man-sik and later the RIU 
• Golden Bunny escapes from the RIU's bunny hunt by knocking out Yoon Dong-ju using a mirror in their fight, helped by Dong-ju's punch drunk dizziness kicking in
• He was about to flee abroad but stayed behind in Korea after Min Ju-yeong's phone call post Lee Jin-su's hit-and-run
• This task is to take care of Yoon Dong-ju who had announced his name and profession to Min Ju-yeong who had hit and dragged him with the smuggled car
• Yoon Dong-ju manages to take out Golden Bunny's gang and him in the paint factory fight and put him in jail
• Much of his gang's members are arrested by the later memebers of the Special Team that night
• His gold incisors get knocked out in his fight with Yoon Dong-ju but are later replaced by normal incisors in prison
• After the hit-and-run Yoon Dong-ju notices he has the same watch as the culprit
• Min Ju-yeong lies to him about his brother being alive but held captive by showing him his brother's silver incisors due to which he initially stays silent during investigations
• When his brother's corpse is identified and he is presented with proof, he cooperates with Kim Jong-hyeon of the special team and reveals details of Min Ju-yeong's cash containers and about the Russian(Sergei) who knows their location
• He is killed by Baek when being transported

Silver Rabbit 

2nd in command of the Golden Bunny gang (real name: Lee Sang-su/Sang-nam) [deceased - killed by Baek]

• Characteristic: His middle, top two incisors are silver
• Golden Rabbit's younger brother
• Geum-nam informs Man-sik that Silver Bunny had rounded up the gang to the paint factory is how Man-sik realizes Dong-ju was in danger from the gang
• He flees after his brother is knocked out by Dong-ju but gets captured by Baek who wants to take over business
• His silver incisors were extracted during his torture by Baek (episode 7) and shown to his brother in a prison visit by Min Ju-yeong 
• His corpse was found in a container on the Russian's cargo ship Victory

Chinese-Korean Thugs

• Of the thugs who infiltrate Han-na's house to steal Lee Jin-su's documents, two are knocked out by Han-na's paintball attack and arrested
• They said they were Baek's men
• Of the two that flee with the documents the one who stabs Jong-hyeon and Man-sik is named Yang Chun-bae
• These two are killed by Ryu-ga after handing Baek the documents

Bald Eagle aka Lee Gwang-se 

• date of birth: 8th Jan, 1982 (age: 43)
• Erstwhile vehicle smuggler, he name-drops Min Ju-yeong as the corrupt Customs officer who blocked his smuggled goods while allowing Monkey's to thrive forcing him out of the game
• Has become an ally to the Special team
• He helps them track down Monkey's base of operation, stealing the Commissioner's car to use as bait
• Got kidnapped by Misha when coming out of his hair store but was spared from certain death because Leo's Mama called fortuitously when he was about to be shot dead and only gets shot in the leg
  • What he says as he thanks Leo's Mama's intervention is thanks in Russian "Spasibo Mama" (subtitle: 쓰바씨바 마마 )
  • Thereafter, even the other actors have a in-house joke about "Mama's grace/blessing" keeping him alive {actor's insta}
• He gets discovered as still alive by Min Ju-yeong in the boot of a car(a different one than the one the Russians usually drive around in) and is stabbed in his shot leg and then threatened to tell the police exactly what he has heard which Min Ju-yeong uses to his advantage 
• He tries to flee abroad by boat but is intercepted by the Special Team(who are told of his plans by Geum-nam finding it out) after his mild "betrayal" as they still need him for information
  • He also packed a teddy bear with drug precursor hidden in it, some of which he swallows by accident
  • Says he has a daughter living in Vietnam but his criminal record shows he has N/A under marital history
  • Kim Jong-hyeon does a pinky promise with him about keeping him safe
• He hid in a closet when Leo comes to the pawnshop and shoots Sergei and gets shot in the shoulder through the cupboard door
• Characteristics: 
  • His hair transplant keeps getting ruined
  • He goes to Eagle Hair saloon for treatments a lot
  • He has a tattoo of an alleged "bald eagle" (looks more like a vulture) and a line that reads "Money is God"

Honorary mention:-

Kim Geum-nam (Pawn Broker Extraordinaire)

• Owns Insung Pawnshop and has been running it for around 30 years
• He was born in the year of the rat
• Character description:- "He was a famous smuggler in the past. He led the so-called 'Rat's Bell Gang', one of the 12 Zodiac(간지 ) crime syndicates in Inseong City. He has stopped smuggling, but he is a famous source of information who knows everything about Inseong City at a glance. As the number of pawn shop customers is decreasing, he is now doing a side job of asking for information and passing it on."
• Ko Man-sik and he seem to have a long association with one another 
• And even Hwang Kyung-Chul knows him as a vital informant

All I wish for is Gwang-se and Geum-nam to be in the business of extorting food from the SCIT forever and ever after all this is over😢

"Egg Sushi" Car Thieves

• Appear in Episode 1 and 4
• In Episode 1 they stole Ko Man-sik's car when Dong-ju had been hit and dragged by Min Ju-yeong
• In Episode 4 they are the ones who steal the commissioner's planted car for Monkey
• Yoon Dong-ju calls one of them "Egg Sushi guy"

Monkey

Leader of Monkey Gang (real name: Kim Deok-chul) [deceased - killed by Baek]

• Episode 4
• The Monkey gang had taken over smuggling foreign cars pushing out Gwang-se as the top smuggler
• While he is fleeing from the double police raid at his base, he gets stabbed to death by Baek

Tour Guide

• Gwang-se tells the Special Team the method used for making fake burner phones with stolen Russian or Chinese identities which leads to the team catching one such tour guide who sells the info

"If the burner phone is registered under a Russian or Chinese name, there's only one go-to guy in Insung. Burner phone dealers usually do business with tour guides. They collect everyone's passports, saying that it's necessary for hotel or tourist site reservations. After they do that, they take photos of the passports to get information."

• He identifies the main guy as Daepodong No. 1 and confirms his image after looking through photos night and day 

Daepodong

(real name: Jang Choon-gi)

• Appears in episode 7
• Age 32 (born 1993), a gag
• Deals in fake burner phones 
• Man-sik, Dong-ju and Jong-hyeon find him and get info out of him about Min Ju-yeong, and the burner phones connected to him, spinning him round and round in a revolving chair as threat
• He reveals it is Baek who buys the burner phones in bulk

X Min Ju-yeong X

Former Grade 7 Surveillance Division Office of Insung Customs

• Date of Birth: 8th July, 1984 (age: 40)
  
• People he has killed: Oh Dollar, Vladimir Svarsky, Lee Jin-su(Korea customs employee who was looking into him), University student who was acting as translator for the Yakuza
• People attempted to kill: Jung Mi-ja, Yoon Dong-ju (both thwarted by Drugmon), Ji Han-na (thwarted by Leo)
• People he got killed by others: Silver Bunny, Lee Gyeong-il, the stoway couple on the ship, Golden Bunny, Leo
• People he has beaten up: Lee Gyeong-il, his superior at Korea customs, Prison guard han, Insung Mayor, Gwang-se, Drugmon
• He has some odd relation with a female colleague at his former office Kim Yu-na speculations she is Drugmon's sister
• Timeline 
  • Parents died in an accident when he was a child according to his official records(where he has fabricated his assets and life to be as normal and bear as possible)

  • Was raised by an uncle
  • <2008  
    • Scholarship student at Hanguk University
    • Was working part-time as a guard at the port while studying for the civil service exam
    • Received a fake watch from Oh Dollar, dropped out after his first semester
  • 2008  Passed the civil service exams and joined customs 
  • 17th Aug, 2008  Kills Oh Dollar and Vladimir Svarsky
    • He smashes Oh Dollar's head in with the fake watch he had received
    • Puts on Oh Dollar's real limited edition watch
    • Opening the trunk of the car he finds a badly beaten and unconscious Russian man
    • Takes the gun in the trunk(likely the Russian man's) and shoots him and Oh Dollar to death
    • Switches the bodies
    • Pushes the car with Oh Dollar in the trunk into the sea
    • Left the Russian man's body where Oh Dollar had been
    • Before he can return and set up the scene around the Russian man anymore, a cop has arrived and discovered the watch he left on the ground
  • 5th Sept, 2008  Shoots and kills Ji Ha-cheol after Leo fails to shoot him
  • 2025
    • 12th May, 2025  Meets Dong-ju, hits and drags him with the smuggled car after hit-and-run dumping Lee Jin-su's body and the rest is this story 
    • When questioned by Han-na about how come he has the watch so many other criminals were being found with he gives an offhanded lie about a Russian friend from long ago whose name he has forgotten having given him this watch

Oh Jong-gu

• Characteristic: 
  • has a polite and conventional businessman demeanor in public
  • despite retirment, is still in shape as a heavyweight boxer
• former heavyweight boxer
• former head coach to the S. Korean national boxing team including Yoon Dong-ju and Korea Sports Committee's secretary
•  S. Korea's lead candidate for the International Sports Committee
• present day CEO of J9  Security
• J9 also has a logistics business and a fleet of trucks part of which is used to transport their contraband and drugs
• 13th May 2025  He sponsored 'Korean Athletes Night' where Yoon Dong-ju confronts him
• He enabled/supplied Lee Gyeong-il to become addicted to painkillers and later employed him at J9 to be a pawn for Min Ju-yeong
• He had tried to get Yoon Dong-ju to go for an MMA contract after his to-be last bout before retirement but on Dong-ju's staunch refusal had him framed him of painkiller doping allegations which Dong-ju was ultimately cleared of two years later, but by then his boxing career and reputation was ruined 
• He reveals he was aware of Dong-ju's punch drunk symptoms since his active days and constantly attacks him on the head
• He presumably taught Min Ju-yeong either in the art of fighting or otherwise as Min Ju-yeong's says he has grown soft(not beating Gyeong-il enough to make him comply since the time "you showed me the ropes" and so it seems these two have known each other for some time
• On Min Ju-yeongs insistence he escorts Gyeong-il to confess as his legal guardian
• After the prison guard is killed, he is presented with Min Ju-yeong's subordinate "watch"
• He grows to resent being treated as an odd-jobs guy by the other four
• He seems to have survived Baek's young subordinates who were threatening him with knives in the restroom and locked the door

Lee Gyeong-il

[deceased]

• Yoon Dong-ju's friend and son of Jong Mi-ja
• took a job with his former coach but got used to become a fall guy; not a villain
• Is tortured by first coach Oh and then Min Ju-yeong to agree to plead guilty
• His legal guardian during his confession to the prosecution is his employer, ex-coach Oh
• He was supposed to take the fall for the car accident that killed Lee Jin-su as explained by Min Ju-yeong a shorter sentence reaching a settlement with the family(who it is revealed later don't believe he was responsible for the accident after his mysterious death)
• Is killed in prison by a prison guard in Min Ju-yeong's watch club

Han the Prison Guard

• He was given a wristwatch as a part of Min Ju-yeong's cartel
• When he and Min Ju-yeong do a secret meet at a petrol station, he tells him that Gyeong-il had a visitor and was anxious like all others
• His orders were to eliminate any risks aka kill Lee Gyeong-il in his jail cell
• While he deleted the CCTV and set up the scene to look like a suicide with a message in blood left behind, he got into a messy struggle with Gyeong-il while trying to kill him and dropped the watch in the cell
• Thus the watch by coincidence became evidence as Gyeong-il's property which Dong-ju identified was not even though it was the same watch worn by the hit-and-run culprit and Dong-ju confronted Min Ju-yeong 
• He was killed by Min Ju-yeong due to this

Baek-ga aka white squirrel

(real name: Baek Suk-choon) 

• People he has killed: Silver Rabbit, Monkey, Golden Rabbit
  
• Characteristic: chews and spits out a trail of sunflower seeds as a habit
• Weapon of choice: a thin knife with a distinctive swirly blade
• appears since episode 2
• He took over Golden Rabbit's territory and united the various Korean-chinese factions into the Northeastern Gang
• He and Jong-hyeon are fated to cross blades...

Ryu-ga

• People he has killed: Yang Chun-bae and the other Korean-chinese thug
• People he has attempted to kill: Oh Jong-gu
• Baek's second-in-command
• He has been working with them for a long time 
• He cornered Oh Jong-gu alongside many of his men in the restroom but the outcome is as yet unkown

Kim Yeon-ha  aka Drugmon [in Kr: 마귀, magwi 'devil']

(real name: Yoon Mee-hyang(possible, not fully confirmed), adoptive english name: Sarah) 

• Age: around 33 
• Date of Birth: 18th Feb, 1992 (in her Korea passport thats most likely fake)
• People she has killed: fake Candy Chemist
  
• People she has attempted to kill: Min Ju-yeong
• People she has saved: Jung Mi-ja, Yoon Dong-ju, Ji Han-na
• Characteristics: 
  • Till she was identified by the special team, Drugmon's real identity and gender had been unknown
  • It was said whoever saw Drugmon's face ends up dead
  • She loves fashion and limited edition 
  • She develops a crush on Yoon Dong-ju after he saves her
    • In the safe house, she recalls his expression as he saved her and fawns over him and clings to him any chance she gets
    • She took his book of poetry with the inscription from his mother from the safe house and gushes over how he is sentimental and sensitive
    • She saves his life time and again
  • She has some apprehension towards Han-na at first but saves her from Min Ju-yeong at the port and allies with her during Han-na's solo raid at their base
  • She has a soft spot for women and children and has proven this time and again
    • exposes the trafficking ring operating from the fake candy supply place
    • befriends Man-sik's daughter and leaves her safely at a cafe even though she could identify her
    • saves Mi-ja from dying due to blood loss(also due to her connection with Dong-ju)
    • stipulates she will only do business if drugs are not sold to women or minors
    • when a teen girl dies due to Min Ju-yeong and Baek defying her conditions, she finally loses it with Min Ju-yeong
  • Supposedly was a drug addict in the past
  • Is usually seen sucking on a lollipop
  • She has hypoglycaemia, gets dizzy and requires to take glucagon injection or to eat chocolate/candy
• She was adopted by a drug addicted overseas couple and mostly likely grew up in USA
• According to her, her elder sister overheard the orphanage staff talk about this and made a barter so she, the younger sister, would be adopted first
• She gave her the polka dot bow clip and a promise made to reunite soon that never happened
• She tells others she holds a grudge against her sister and wants to kill her but evidently cares for her and the true details are as yet unknown  
• 26th May, 2025, 4am : Arrives in Korea by plane from Manila, Philippines on the same flight as Man-sik's daughter
  • Her name on her ticket and passport is Kim Yeon-ha
• Her first order of business is to take care of the fake Drugmon operating in Korea using her name and making fake Candy

Fake Candy chemist

• Reveals who is imitating Drugmon and his location to the real Drugmon
• Is killed by the real Drugmon
• Ji Han-na is told by NFS of the blood splatter pattern on her limited edition jacket which proves she had to have killed him

Fake Drugmon

(real name: Park Bong-Pil)

• Fake Drugmon, the real Drugmon frames him as the real deal while pretending to be a victim with the police stating she remembered something she heard while captive
• Arresting him reveals a huge marine supply of ephedrine smuggled in with seafood, this being the drug precursor for Candy
  • this might imply Candy is meth but Candy is vaguely described as a hallucinogen

Leo Vladimirovich Svarsky [레오 블라디미로비치 스바르스키]

Capo or equivalent in the Black Cat[Чёрная кошка, Chyornaya Koshka] Gang of Far East, Khabrovsk and Sakhalin, Russia [deceased]

• Of the cartel 5 he seems to have known Min Ju-yeong the longest
• People he has killed: Unknown Russian mafia man and Korean mafia man, Sergei
• People he has attempted to kill: Gwang-se (thwarted by Leo's Mama), Ji Ho-cheol(Min Ju-yeong killed him when Leo hesitated)
• People he has shot, unknown if attempting to kill or to thwart:  Ji Han-na and Shin Jae-hong(shot out the car tyre of their car that was tailing his); Kim Jong-hyeon(who moved forward to protect Ji Han-na; aim was unclear)
• Weapon of choice: a .30 custom Tokarev with a cat engraving
  • Min Ju-yeong hands him this gun having found it in the boot of the car with Leo's father (whose it may have been since their Russian mafia is named Black Cat)
  • It is the gun that was used to kill Oh Dollar, Vladimir Svarsky and Ji Ho-cheol in 2008
• Characteristic: 
  • Mama's boy
    • Talks to his Mama on the phone a lot apparently (in Korean) and complains about not getting time to do it recently
    • Spares Gwang-se's life because his Mama chides him over the phone about being "at work" and he makes excuses about how he doesn't kill people even though he was about to
    • "Mama always tells me..."
    • His past story implies he was weak as a teenager 
  • He also had a strong attachment to his father and sought revenge for his death
  • Says the Lord's prayer in Russian for Gwang-se before he is about to kill him ending with an ominous sounding but religious "Wash away our sins by the blood of the cross"
  • Has a one-sided affection for Drugmon who doesn't mind his advances unlike Baek whom she is repulsed by
    • They both gang up on expressing their disgust at Baek 
  • He might know about Drumon's hypoglycaemia since he offered her chocolate when she was dizzy
  • Speaks rudimentary Korean(a 5 year old's level according to the director and actor) and keeps a notebook of Korean words written down titled "Very Very Useful Words" with words for every occassion, almost entirely Korean cuss words
    • although the meanings and pronunciation are written in English rather than Russian 
    • his smartphone however is in Russian
• Son of  a Korean mother and a Russian named Vladimir Svarsky who died in 2008
• Is shot in the shoulder by a 17 year old whom he tells to chose a different path in life mirroring what Ji Ho-cheol told him at that age while stopping his gun in a similar way
• He reveals he regrets his choices and this is later implied when he tells Ji Han-na he feels their sitaution at the Goldengate raid is God's way of allowing him to atone for all his wrongdoings
  • At the same time he is a jolly, trigger happy mobster and enjoys violence to some extent such as Min Ju-yeong suddenly killing the interpreter
• <2008 As a 18 year old was getting beaten up a bunch of thugs because his dad sent him instead of going himself and is saved by Ji Ho-cheol who advices him to leave the gang life being young and unsuited to it
• 2008 
  • After his father's death Min Ju-yeong offers to help him telling him his dad was killed by Oh Dollar and handing him the gun
    • The gun having been used in the murders there is a nefarious implication that Min Ju-yeong set him up to take the eventual fall for the murders as well as well as using him to take out his obstacles like detective Ji with the same gun incrasing the number of bodies on it
  • Ju-yeong also tells him a cop on Oh Dollar's payroll is trying to sabotage the investigation 
  • As a result, Leo shoots at the investigating officer's car only to find the man he is in debt to at the wheel
  • When he puts down the gun in shock, Min Ju-yeong swoops in, takes the gun and shoots Ji Ho-cheol dead
  • The same gets recorded by the new digital camera Ji Ho-cheol had bought for his daughter which fell out of it's box on impact of the car crashing
    • it was aimed looking up and out at the passenger side window fortuitously
  • Leo takes this digital camera and kept it for years before handing it over to Ji-Han-na in the present
• 2025  
  • 26th May, 5am : Arrives in Insung port by the Russian cargo ship Victory from last port Ho Chi Minh City

  • He tells Drugmon he planned leaving Korea on the next friday(had been laying low  for a few months after shooting Kim Jong-hyeon) but the dates are not clear

(Note: The Black Cat Gang was the name of a notorious 1950s Soviet gang better known as Ivan Mitin's gang who were the subject of a number of books and dramas. The leader was executed by firing squad)

(Note2: The common Russian surname Svirsky is spelt 스비르스키 while his surname is spelled as 스바르스키 Svarsky in writing)

Misha and the other Russians

Black Cat Gang of Sakhalin and Khabrovsk, Russia

• Misha was a former soldier who after leaving the army ended up joining the Russian mafia Black Cat at some point in his life {actor's insta}
  • He is the one who 
    • received Leo at the port the day he arrived {actor's insta}
    • kidnaps Gwang-se {actor's insta}
    • wrestles with Jae-hong {actor's insta}
• (will the Russian gang who fled be Jae-hong's matchup?)
• The Russians+Leo sat behind Min Ju-yeong in his dealing with the Yakuza 
  • Leo nods to Misha who puts the gun on the food table, possibly the 'sample' Min Ju-yeong talks of as replacement goods to be smuggled instead of the drug which is late
    • Min Ju-yeong seems to have come to the decision of arms smuggling rather thanthe Russians themselves?
  • This is the gun Min Ju-yeong shoots the interpreter with, possibly as 'demonstration'
• A bunch of them gunned down Leo, possibly for money that Min Ju-yeong gave them
• Leo was described as an intermediate boss in the Black Cat mafia(and his actions seem to imply he'd be a enforcer or capo in any other mafia) the true leader of which is unknown as yet(Min Ju-yeong wields an enormous power over them?)
• The company operating the Russian cargo fleet seem to be the one owned by the Mayor's son 

Vladimir Ilyich Svarsky 

[deceased - killed by Min Ju-yeong]

• Father of Leo
• Was a smuggler and Russian mafia member operating in Insung, S. Korea
• 17th Aug, 2008  Was beaten and tied up in Oh Dollar's trunk when the latter got beaten to near-death and is found by Min Ju-yeong who kills him

• He became an ally after cooperating with the Special Team and revealing the locations of Min Ju-yeong's secret cash containers upon being told he'd be killed by Min Ju-yeong for having even talked to the police
• He smiles at these underdog's madness as they all eat together in celebration in the pawnshop after the news reports that Min Ju-yeong's ill-gotten money has been exposed

  • He had witnessed Min Ju-yeong killed Oh Dollar and Vladimir Svarsky from a rooftop
• He also knew Min Ju-yeong gave Leo that handgun, upon revealing this and Min Ju-yeong's crime to Leo that Leo lost his shit and shot him dead
• His death was a tragic coincidence as Leo came to the pawnshop looking for "those bastards", presumably the special team, and killed Sergei whom he didn't know in a fit of rage, and not that Min Ju-yeong sent someone after Sergei to have him killed after his betrayal

• He used to be a big time smuggler in Insung who made his money "trading dollars" 
• allegedly has a son named Oh David whom he sent abroad to USA
• <2008  He met and tempted Min Ju-yeong into the world of crime
• 17th August, 2008  Is killed by Min Ju-yeong, being battered with the fake watch he gave him before he is shot with a .30 Tokarev, then put in the trunk of the car(where the Russian mafia was) and this car is pushed into the ocean by Min Ju-yeong 

David Oh

• The alleged son of Oh Dollar whom he gave a foreign sounding name and sent abroad to live in the USA
• His assets in Korea are actually Min Ju-yeong's and the name in this context is said to be Min Ju-yeong himself
  • His date of birth in the background check matches Min Ju-yeong's (8th July, 1984) and the photo looks like it could be a young him with a different hairstyle
  • It is as yet unknown if he is real and his identity was used by Min Ju-yeong or if he is a cover created by Min Ju-yeong to inherit Oh Dollar's assets 

Roh Deok-Gyu

• Insung Mayor who seems to be completely under Min Ju-yeong's thumb

  • The logistics for TAE corporation is handled by ex-coach Oh's J9 Security
  • The Russian mafia's smuggling ships seem to working under this company 
  • Min Ju-yeong facilitates clearance in Customs
• According to Min Ju-yeong Steve Roh got hooked on Candy and created a fake Candy supply in Korea
• Baek is also annoyed that he "cashed in and trashed" their operation but Min Ju-yeong makes excuses for him

Lee Jong-hun

• the maknae of the RIU
• From the start he was either kind to or respecting of Dong-ju
• He was the one who was in the safe house when Drugmon runs away
• He phones Dong-ju to tell him Min Ju-yeong went to the hospital to visit the comatose Jong Mi-ja
• It is said he was a likely low-level mole working for Min Ju-yeong when his phone number turns up in the call logs of the number that called Min Ju-yeong to warn him of Ji Han-na's solo mission to Goldengate 
  • He was on administrative leave due to the safe house incident
  • He is found dead shortly after the others start looking for him as a suspect
