Not stupid at all. You need to upload them onto another site (or grab the link from the site) and then paste the link into the little picture icon at the top of your message box. I use https://postimages.org/ or tumblr, but you can also use https://imgur.com/ or something else. Simi explains well how to insert the links onto MDL

The club has been quite lively over the past year, and we've enjoyed watching a significant number of dramas. I thought it would be great to listen to some of our favorite OSTs. Who knows, we might hear a melody that makes us wonder which drama it belongs to! Also, I often play music while cleaning and doing chores, so this gives me another playlist on my Spotify to enjoy. I might even find myself secretly crying because some of the songs on this list are incredibly sad, yet they sound amazing, lol.
PS, speaking of sorrow, I was just on the verge of diving into a new drama when a thought struck me: why not warm up some leftover French fries from earlier? I tossed them into the air fryer, but then I got sidetracked and ended up overcooking them. Now they're as hard as rocks, and I'm really regretting it because they were such delicious fries.
