Only Friends: Dream On

Still decent but hard to feel like too much is at stake since we know only the official couples will kiss and eventually they’ll all end up with their partners. I was really annoyed that Jack was drinking and no one knew it was a problem, or that Dean didn’t know and try to intervene. I was mad that Jack got jealous of Pod’s character when he knew Dean had no where else to go. I thought Tua was totally overreacting. They didn’t actually kiss! They could be confused from the play. At least they mostly made up. Raft is finally seeing some sense. He may have cried over Jack but he didn’t sleep with him. And I loved when he said he’s going to chase Rome from now on. It was really fun seeing Mark/Nick, and of course he’s with Ohm because official couples only. It was good to see Nick and Boston talk. Now we’ve seen all the couples from Season 1!

Love of Silom

Oh, this is already so good! Poom is great at the dancing and the fighting. I’m so glad he got that great fight scene, even if it was imaginary. I’m worried about his character’s safety and about Up’s character being able to do his job without getting distracted by Poom.I think the crime story is going to get more complex and higher stakes. I don’t like human trafficking stories but hopefully this won’t get too intense. I also hope Up and Poom become I couple sooner rather than later. I’m glad Poom is leaving with his nephew because his mother is just making everything worse.i am currently most invested in this show.

Fake Fact Lips

This is so fun, I love it! I want even more flirting, more sex, more real but repressed emotions. Can’t wait!

Love Upon a Time

This is getting better but still not great. The couple interactions are good but the time travel story is complicated. It’s hard to envision how either couple could be happy in this time period, let alone how the show will resolve the time travel situation while still giving us a happy ending. I will keep watching, but this just isn’t as good as the other Mandee/Domundi shows we’ve seen in the last year. They set the bar high, but so have a lot of other shows. Plus this just isn’t in the same ballpark as I Feel You Linger in the Air, which set the standard for time travel and period romance.

Flower Boy

I know this premise is a bit hard to believe, and the world-building could be better, but PearlPeak are still great. Also, it’s fun to have a creative plot premise. I know the story will have some melodrama but I also think we can guess how it will progress. Someone in the comments said they’re worried about getting their heart broken, but I don’t mind dramatic stories if they’re well done. I still have high hopes for this.

I also finished Pursuit of Jade (not BL). The ending (all the explanations about the past) were a bit confusing but everything else was great. I gave it a 9.5. I also might need to join the villain-lovers club, although I loved the hero too.

Love of Silom (Uncut Ver.) - episodes 1 - 3

I was hooked from episode one. I remember thinking to myself that this series is a 10/10 in the making if they play their cards right.

I am a bit mad that I started this series now instead of waiting for it to finish so that I can binge it. Now I have to suffer through waiting for each new episode to drop 😭

Also there is a lot of underlining sexual innuendos in this series and I love it!

The dance scene in episode 3 reminded me of the scenes from the Tyler Perry series All The Queen's Men, iykyk

In case you need a “V” for the alphabet challenge, here’s my assessment. I know LeurArcane (sp?) dropped this one, but for me it was the train wreck I couldn’t look away from.

I wasn't planning to watch this, mainly because I dislike lacorns, but now you're making me reconsider, especially by your comparison to "Eye Contact", a trainwreck which I quite enjoyed.

It’s nowhere near as good as Eye Contact, but it gave me that same feeling of not being able to look away. Try an episode and see if it interests you. It’s not much of a time commitment.

Still, I kept watching until the end. It wasn’t satisfying because I never cared about any of it, but I was weirdly fascinated by the bad quality

Nice to know I wasn't the only one watching Venus groom not interested in at all, but still somehow ending up watching every episode of it weekly. I did not even bother to add this to my watch list here or leave a review, bc this wasn't just something to get seriously invested in. The show was clearly a very cheap budget show, and even for a series with shorter episodes the plot and dynamics were awful. However I do kind of think the main couple actors could have the potential to act in a proper series, acting def. needs work, but potential is there.
