I finished Contrast since I couldn't sleep. A few things made my eyes roll that only a J-drama can do. Besides that...
idk...by the end I wasn't feeling so good about it as I started out. It was pretty obvious the tutor used Akira but I see that Akira kinda did the same? But, a big BUT is the tutor is the adult and in the wrong. Their relationship was treated like it was normal. Typical J-drama style. Yuck.
A few other annoying things: Were there any parents at any time during the show or did I miss that part. And what about Aikra's brother, who didn't know a thing for how long? A few years at least? Imagine if he knew what his "friend" was doing with his little brother.
I don't think intimacy and all that goes with it needs to be present to enjoy a drama, but it seems odd to have the suggestion of it with the tutor and Akira, including the scene of fixing their clothes, but Akira and Kanata get two stinkin' dead fish kisses. If they can show/hint at a physical connection between the adult and the minor why can't they do the same for two high schoolers. That at least is normal and healthy. How stupid is that.
I have to stop here. I'm more than annoyed after thinking about it all over again to write this post. Waaaah.
7/10 no wait. Make it a 6/10. So there you stinkin' screenwriters and director. I want my time back! You each get one.๐๐
