This is something completely unrelated to BL but I needed advice as this is making me confused
You need to know that I'm transgender FTM but also gender fluid ( for those of you who don't know what it means, it means sometimes I feel masculine, sometimes feminine, sometimes non binary ) and a male that we will call J.
J asked me to start a relationship with them. I thought he was pansexual but he says he's not. His reasoning is that he thought I was a girl ( don't worry that was cleared up) which I'm not. He is still willing to have a relationship with me but is adamant that he is straight when he is dating me. I'm not sure how to resolve this
Relationships are pretty personal and in your case I can understand the situation is delicate. I would maybe ask myself how does it make you feel if the other person is really adamant in calling himself straight even if he knows about your genre identity. Do you still feel comfortable (and most importantly) safe being around the guy?
I'm not saying you should just say no, if you feel you two share enough common things to try out a relationship and that him making a point of being a straight is okay to you. I would still maybe question the guy one more time if he is sure he understood what you have told him already about your genre identity.
Hopefully this will at least help a little bit in how to approach the issue.

they release them outside of china, internationally while its banned in china, chinese fans use vpn if im not wrong
How do they get these series out of China because if I remember right they are highly monitored. With the countries I knew but I don't really understand how they can release it in another country.
And I saw some actors using vpn to stream and have an account. Isn't that risky for them because they could get caught or am I misinformed/wrong?

It was excellent and the actor that portrayed the character who was deaf and mute was incredible, his expressions and body language often took more weight than the other characters words. Also loved that it had a balance of rom com and more serious elements of the relationship due to the ML disabilities. It made me rage, laugh, cry

As far as I can recall I quite liked it. There was one episode I think I can remember that it wasn't that enjoyable for me personally, but the rest was good/ok.
Edit: Maybe I will rewatch it because I know I liked it back then but can't really remember (I watched it many months ago) so I just can say it was good but cannot really give a short summary of the core plot anymore. The actors were quite good that I can remember but plot wise I can't say much right now
I've only heard people liking it. Gives me hope that I'll enjoy it, too!

I loved it! In addition to being a really nice love story, it's a good treatment of deafness. The actors did an amazing job. (The actor who plays Shao Peng is not deaf, but he totally convinced me.)
Tip: Be sure not to miss the extra scenes at the very end of episode 13 (which get cut off with Viki "autoplay next episode"). Episode 14 is just BTS.

Just watched the first episode of Wooju Bakery and you know what, I didn't hate it 🤷♀️. Granted, its not BL of the year material but I saw nothing overtly terrible like everyone was making it seem.
Just starting it now. My own low expectations are based on Hanyang Studio, maker of the truly atrocious "Love Is Like A Cat", rather than any prior insight into "Wooju". That being said, starting with low expectations can be a good thing (in life as in BLs).
ETA: Well ... yeah ... it's a major trainwreck, as expected, but strangely entertaining. Still wondering what possessed Jeff Satur and Barcode to entrust their good reputations to Hanyang Studio.

I think it's a matter of personal taste and preference, which is totally fine. As the old saying goes, that's why they make vanilla and chocolate.
In the past year or two, there have been quite a few JBLs that I really loved - but I'm totally fine with a sweet love story with cuties but zero NC or snogging which others might find slow and painfully boring. (With rare exceptions, snogging and NC scenes tend to be the parts that especially bore me, haha.)
I'll admit that I'm also a bit biased by my special affinity for Japan (and Japanese cuties).
i mean I am not saying that I don't like to watch cute zero nc japanese series actually I like japanese series for that reason I really loved series like cherry magic takara kun to amagi kun my love mix up
these series don't even have kiss scenes
my problem with recent japanese bls is with the fact that they don't really adapt the manga that well lately for ex fukami kun
(I also didn't enjoy the second season of cosmatic playlover)
The manga of fukami kun is my absolute fav of all time but the drama disapointed me it's also the reason I wrote that comment without really thinking about anything. I just now realize that I shouldn't judge a whole industry just from one bl that was actually wrong on my part sorry
(I also forgot to mention school trip in my first comment it's a recent japanese bl and its already in my all time fav list)

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I don't have the energy to talk about this at length and I don't even know if I can do that. But what I'll say is: you're so right. Somehow JBLs now are bland and uneventful. As if they want to keep it all uninteresting by adapting the most boring BL manga.
But yeah, will I keep watching them in hopes they get better? Sure. Will I enjoy my time? No.
I probably spoke too soon a few years ago when I said Japanese BLs are my fave. Now Chinese BLs are my favorite. I can't wait for Journey with You tomorrow for example. Peak cinema anyone?

damnnnnn a yyy hater in 2026 this was something I was not expecting
tbh there were some moments in the series where i chuckled but overall it was a sh1t show the comedy felt like kapil sharma show but 10 times worse
