honestly very funny and entertaining

liked how the FL was the strong one who  knew martial arts, slow burn was well done but the ending felt extremely rushed

watched this just for entertainment. the plot is kinda absurd and silly, but that kinda makes it entertaining. smth you can watch when you have nothing else to do.

watched this simultaneously as love story in the 1970s and pursuit of jade, so there was no way it stood a chance. but it did give me the angsty, morally gray, anti-hero that i needed, so feeding my delusions was enough to keep me going. full of plot holes tho

it was cutesy until it wasn't, there's way to much conflict going on and at some point i could no longer feel the chemistry between them (their kiss scenes were also really awkward)

pretty cute and comforting. loved the mix of both modern and traditional elements, and it was cool to learn about ceramic restoration. the fl's mother definitely got on my nerves though.
