The absolute surprise hit of the year for me! I didn't like the first season because I didn't care about the relationship between the leads but there's not much I won't watch for Kim Bum and Lee Dong Wook so when this was announced, I knew I had to watch it. After the first episode, I was watching this every week as it aired before I'd even touch another drama. Every single episode hit every note perfectly, there was a mermaid love story, Kim So Yeon was there, every complaint I had in the first season was addressed and fixed, this was just perfect. I couldn't recommend this enough, and I needed the third season as soon as this was done.

Cute! I also really liked the OST for this.

This was good. I've seen glimpses of military service life in dramas and also seen similar stories in other places, but everybody here did great. The uh, buddy cop, relationship between the leads was pretty good; I already liked Jung Hae In from other projects and I definitely left this drama adding Koo Kyo Hwan to my list of actors whose projects I keep an eye out for. Oh, and great cameo by Go Kyung Pyo.

I wanted this to have a romance subplot so bad, or at least one that wasn't just subtext. But ignoring that, I liked this a lot. The mystery was pretty good, and Lee Kyu Hyung never misses for me.

Never read the manga and I only briefly watched the anime back when it was first airing on Toonami so I'm the definition of a casual/normie, but this was perfect for me.

This! This is what I mean when I say one of these can still have a romance subplot, this would be enough for me!

I also wanted this to have a romance subplot. I feel like it's all but there, but that's a jdrama for you. I don't watch a lot of body swap dramas because they never resolve the way I want, but this came super close. Also I think this drama led to me finding the big Role Reversal list that someone keeps, so always glad for that.

Was able to see this at the local indie theater!

A rom com with a serial killer subplot but the serial killer subplot at least didn't feel tacked on. I was really invested in everything going on here, and I loved the leads. The child actor did get a little annoying towards the end, but thankfully there was not that much show left so I didn't mind.

Surprisingly spooky! I wished the ending could have been less open but I think the manga is/was ongoing so I'm sure people would have been unhappy with a drama ending. This was a very good 'what if one of them was a ghost' though, especially if you actually want that to be scary rather than just sad.

So this is the actor that (Strong Woman) Do Bong Soon has a crush on! I finally understand why she was so insistent on that wallpaper. This was about what I expected from a melodrama; I liked it. It was also great to hear "Gray Paper" in its natural habitat.

I knew this would be sad going in and it was exactly as sad as you would think.

I was in fact very worried about her being a ghost.

The most I've ever enjoyed watching the series! The leads finally felt like partners.

This drama format is a riot, I love it. The leads are great together, and I will definitely look for things like this when I'm in a slump.

This would have maybe been a 6 but seeing my least favorite couple from HIStory 4 (my least favorite couple from anything, ever) show back up nearly made me turn this off. If there was an edit of just the time travel couple, this would be...still not that good, but I would watch it with the residual fondness I feel for seasons 1-3.

I think I just kept clicking the next episode so that I could hear "If I" and "Shadow of You" again while looking at the cinematography. This show looked and sounded beautiful, but I didn't like the leads and I have yet to get into one of these political intrigue/who is really going to rule the kingdom plots.

Kind of entertaining for a gore fest and also just littered with actors I don't get to see very much. Definitely a movie you should just turn your brain off for though.

I was only glad to watch this so that I could be done thinking about this series, especially since the only couples I were interested in by the end were either relegated to minor character status or basically apart from each other most of the time.

I don't know what it is about these two. It's like they're good in theory, but in practice my gaze just slides right off of them; this was a struggle to watch.

I didn't think this was going to be that good (I like Donghae fine enough and I really liked Song Ha Yoon the last time I saw her in Devilish Joy, but the premise wasn't really working for me), but I thought it was going to at least be fun. This was not good and it was not that fun. I'm sure the FL was acting in the spirit of whatever this was based on, but it was pretty grating. 

Wished this was better; I liked Goedam so much. The mannequin bit was probably the scariest part for me.

I dislike these main characters so much that watching them agonize over their, frankly,  silly problems like 'can we have the perfect wedding' and 'can you get married and have a music career' was not a good time. It was nice to see Yim and Tutor again, but that was it.

The biggest disappointment of the year without question. This had to be the result of someone using a monkey's paw to wish for a sequel to Strong Woman Do Bong Soon; nothing else would explain how this was just so perfectly the complete opposite of how good that show was. It even stings that it's made by the same people production-wise, so I know these people could have done this much better.
