Ranking Thai GLs I've Watched
As we head into the renaissance of Thai GLs, I thought it'd be handy to make my own ranking list (so I'd know which ones to choose when re-watching or recommending them). My reviews contain spoilers, so read at your own risk!
Scores vs. Rankings: The scores I assign are based on what I consider universal standards for films, while the rankings on this list are determined by my personal preferences (i.e. the harder I fangirled / simped over it, the higher the ranking will be). The two are mutually exclusive and may not always align. Scoring for movies and series may differ (e.g., movies are given more leeway for faster pacing). As of now, I haven’t read any of the original source materials, so all analyses are independent of them.
Note on Critiques: Negative evaluations are not personal judgments of the creators. E.g., if I comment on poor directing, it does not mean the director lacks skill; similarly, critiques of acting do not imply the actors are untalented. I fully acknowledge that many external factors, such as budget constraints, pressure from investors, tight schedules, etc. can influence the outcome of a show.
Ultimately, this list reflects my personal opinions — feel free to disagree!

1. ClaireBell
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: ClaireBell is indisputably the best Thai GL produced to-date. The emotional depth of all the characters, the acting, the cinematography, the kissing and everything is so well done.
Strengths: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Performance and Acting; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Sound Design and Music; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Nothing too major (other than the pacing being a little rushed, which could've been avoided if they opted for 10 / 12 eps instead imo)
Overall: This show is an amazing portrayal of the complexity and depth of human nature. The romance does not take the forefront of the show, and while it can be disappointing if that's what you're looking for, I personally felt the fullness of the other aspects of the show made up for it. It was clear that the creators of ClaireBell had set out with the intention to not just make a GL because it's the trendy thing to do, but to actually put effort into making a good show. I particularly love how they explored the themes of love, sacrifice, and betrayal. However, it's not a show without flaws. The pacing does feel a tad bit rushed at times, such as Claire and Bell's initial attraction to each other not being given much time and DeeDee's redemption arc. I personally felt like DeeDee should've suffered the same consequences as Kae given all the things that she did in the earlier half of the show. It felt like DeeDee's sins were simply forgotten just because there was another villain, but yea. It didn't detract much from my overall enjoyment and I genuinely feel these issues would've been easily ironed out if they had a longer runtime instead. A missed opportunity. Overall, ClaireBell has a level of writing, direction, editing, and pacing that is arguably able to stand on equal footing with other dramas at the international level

2. The Loyal Pin: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
TLDR: A whole green fucking forest. TLP is one of the few Thai GLs I've came across so far that I actually wouldn't mind recommending to someone who's not in it for the delulu.
Strengths: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Performance and Acting; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Sound Design and Music; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Nothing too major (other than the pacing being a little on the slower side in the first half of the show; I recommend watching at x1.25 speed to combat this)
Overall: Anil and Khun Pin are easily the greenest flags in Thai GLs ever. Everything was amazing up till ep 11 before it dips and Prik becomes a literal prick for a little. While majority of the fandom were on Anil's side for the last few eps, I sincerely beg to differ. Anil doesn't understand life outside royalty. Living estranged from your family, as a commoner, as 2 women in the 1950s? When conversations on gender equality had barely just begun? It's one hell of a far-fetched dream that Anil was dreaming. I don't think people understand the role that hierarchy, status, tradition, etc. plays in that day and age. Rather, I think Anil and Pin's actions were both very logical and simple to understand (if you're able to understand that their difference in upbringing has also shaped their worldviews in completely different ways). FreenBeck's acting skills have improved a great deal as compared to what we saw in GAP. TLP uses some messy shortcuts to tie up all the loose ends in the last 2 eps (but then again, which Thai GL doesn't), but overall TLP possesses the basics of a good show and has the capacity to deliver a decent experience to audiences beyond just the thai gl fandom.

3. The Secret of Us
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
TLDR: There's smth abt TSOU that makes u want to fangirl scream your heart out when watching it. I can't put my finger on it, and no other GL to-date has been able to replicate the feelings TSOU elicits out of its viewers.
Strengths: Direction; Character Development; Performance and Acting; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Performance and Acting
Overall: Thai GLs tend to use a lot of lazy methods to create misunderstandings between the characters and blows them out of proportion to create drama. And unfortunately, TSOU is no exception to this. TSOU starts out with Earn being a huge red flag. As much as I adore Earn's personality, I also can't deny that a lot of her actions were just plain dumb sometimes, and clearly for the sake of pushing the plot along. Lada exhibits slight red flag tendencies during the puzzle scene (understandably so), but other than that is much more of a green flag. Ling has very expressive eyes and I just love the way she's able to say everything without saying anything at all. Orm's acting isn't as compelling as Ling's but it does get better as the series progresses. TSOU excels because it understands what its target audience wants down to the very last detail — the delulu simping and trashy angst it offers.

4. I Wanna Be Sup'tar
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
TLDR: My biggest hmo is that the one non-con kiss scene in here that ppl made such a big deal out of is actually normalized in thai GL and LillyBelle were just unlucky to bear the brunt of it.
Strengths: Story and Writing; Performance and Acting; Cinematography and Visuals; Sound Design and Music; Editing and Pacing
Weaknesses: Character Development; Direction
Overall: I genuinely enjoyed watching this series sm. There aren't many Thai GLs that make me scream internally and fangirl hard. This series however, was one of the rare ones that achieved that. I have to say though, the first 4 episodes went really well but it started going downhill in ep 5, and ep 6 was really infuriating to watch. But it did pick itself back up a little in the last 2 eps. This show would've made podium if they didn't fumble the middle. I felt the side couple was a little redundant. Their story was rushed and felt unnatural, and given that it was only 8 eps long, it really would've been much better if they just didn't try to fit in another couple. That aside, the biggest problem in this show for me was Wanneung. She was written to be loud and lacking EQ, but this felt a little too overdone at times. To the point where it actually gets a little annoying. Additionally, the way she refuses to communicate anything was also frustrating. Win on the other hand was an absolute joy to watch. And if we're going to talk about that kiss scene, I think people need to realize that this was formula that CHANGE had been using with LMSY since Affair. They were simply reusing something that worked, unaware that people would actually take issue with it this time. And if we're really going to talk about noncon, many other series should come under fire too (e.g. TSOU, Poisonous Love, Denied Love, Dangerous Queen, etc.), because drunked / drugged consent is nOT consent but that's not a conversation ppl are ready for.

5. The Water
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
TLDR: Harmony Secret, except much better
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Overall: This series involves lying and betrayal betw our FLs, which typically I would hate and find myself not being able to immerse myself into. However, the biggest win for me in this series is the angle of approach they took for it. Firstly, Chonlada gets into it under the impression that its because the rival plays dirty. And when she finds out it's not true, she chooses to stay true to her integrity. And subsequently she's stuck in it due to threats from her brother. THIS kind of lying and impersonation, I can definitely get behind. And at the end of it, when shit finally hits the fan, they treat lying and betrayal with the gravity of what it really is. It's no small issue. And The Water is genuinely the first I've seen to actually give betrayal and heartbreak the correct level of intensity and turmoil it warrants. The Water is also the only thai GL i've seen get slow burn right thus far. Further adding to this, it's also the first thai GL to address the issue of dubious consent when it comes to boss-employee relationships. Right from the get go, it is clear that the production team had a lot of budget to work with. From the ring designs to the wedding, everything in this show was clearly of good quality and effort. A couple of flaws would include the overuse of accidentally-falling-onto-each-other-in-slow-mo, the unnecessary redemption of Chonlada's father, and very very slight

6. Reverse with Me: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: The romance itself was well done. Everything else was trash but hey that's all we're really here for isn't it. Also, I reALLy need NattPitcha to star in another series asap. (EDIT: guess that's not happening anym)
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Sound Design and Music; Originality and Innovation; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing
Overall: Much like TSOU, Reverse with Me excels in fangirl material, but not so much in technicality. Considering how its predecessor (Reverse 4 You) was done, I honestly didn't have much expectations for this series. But it pleasantly surprised me. There were only 2 implied bed scenes (they don't even get too explicit with it), yet, I didn't even feel like they weren't giving us enough of them. Karan and Khliao's love for one another is portrayed very strongly and consistently throughout the series, and we get plenty of sweet moments. None of those small misunderstandings blown out of proportion to create shallow angst. Though I have to admit, as much as NattPitcha have amazing chemistry, the scriptwriting at certain points is just straight up awkward and makes them come off as very awkward. The biggest downfall of this show isn't in the romance, but in the technical side of things. Many major plot points go unexplained causing the story to be confusing and difficult to follow. Many of the characters also either flip a switch and become a completely different person to drive the story forward, or they were unimpressionable and forgettable to begin with. I can see why people wouldn't enjoy this series, but I personally simped a lot for NattPitcha so yea.
-
7. My Safe Zone
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: The visuals are absolutely crazy I think I died a million times.
Strengths: Performance and Acting, Sound Design and Music, Cinematography and Visuals, Editing and Pacing, Direction
Weaknesses: Story and Writing, Emotional Resonance and Impact, Originality and Innovation
Overall: This series makes you simp and smile like a dumbass at the screen alot. And I mean, A LOT. Our FLs have great chemistry, both look drop dead gorgeous, and they have plenty of sweet moments throughout the show. There are definitely moments of questionable script writing, but compared to the typical standard you get in Thai GLs, My Safe Zone is already on the better side. Sure, there are dumb misunderstandings at times, but they don't blow it as out of proportion as most shows do. One thing's for sure, our FLs are one of the greener flags (not necessarily the greenest ever tho) in the world of Thai GLs. The overarching plot, however, is a little on the boring and forgettable side for me. But I definitely do look forward to more of LenaMiu's works in the future.

8. Roller Coaster
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: I almost gave this podium but they fumbled the last episode kinda hard
Strengths: Direction; Editing and Pacing; Performance and Acting; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Sound Design and Music; Cultural and Social Relevance; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Character Development; Originality and Innovation
Overall: Loft is amazing as a character, but Air and Pure's repeated antics get a bit stale over time and starts to border frustrating. I also felt they dragged a little too long before explaining why Air is in a marriage. I tried to give Pure the benefit of the doubt for majority of the show in that she made things clear to Loft from the get-go that she's emotionally unavailable. But I ran out of excuses in the very last episode. The last episode was an absolute disappointment and a huge mess. If you've made a choice, and picked a side, then act like it. Pure be acting like she was forced to choose Loft and she's regretting every second of it. That's not love. Compared to most thai gls, this series was relatively well directed produced. It had decent visuals, editing, music, etc. I was so ready to give this series a high ranking and rating but it was a shame it fell short at the very last second in terms of story writing. It still ranks pretty high overall because call me gay, but I was absolutely salivating over Shelly for most of the show so... yea.
-
9. Dangerous Queen
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: Aired in late 2025, but very 2024 coded. If dom-sub dynamics are your thing, you will absolute love this series.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Overall: I’m biased with this one because of how much I love TK. The slow burn is really burning in here, but at the very least it pays off in ep 8 (where they'll have your jaw fall to the ground). TK is the only other thai GL actress alongside 00k who has such a good yearning gaze. Her eyes are so expressive it's hard to believe this is her very first acting role. Another thing that's hard to believe about this series is that it aired in late 2025, given that it's entire production quality screams early-2024-thai-GL. From the toxicity of the FLs and the script to the rushed closures and coincidences, this series echoes the standards of series such as BLANK, TSOU, Pluto, etc. However, much like the earlier GL series, Dangerous Queen excels in knowing what its target audience wants. It may be frustrating at times, but it's still easy to delulu and fangirl over this series. I really enjoyed how trashy it was.
-
10. Us
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
TLDR: I commend Us for not having any insane last min redemption arc, wedding, and break up scene. But genuinely, why does gmmtv like to make their FLs lie to each other?
Strengths: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Performance and Acting
Weaknesses: Emotional Resonance and Impact; Sound Design and Music; Originality and Innovation
Overall: The pattern I seem to notice with gmmtv GL series thus far is that they like to make our main couple lie to each other (about major things). As much as it creates a mystery-esque plot that grips viewers, I can't deny that it also makes it difficult for me to immerse into the romance of the characters. Us the series is definitely one of the few existing GLs that have decent pacing, direction and story writing. While I adored Dokrak as a character, I did not like the way Pam was written to be very anti-romantic. It took away a large part of the simp material for me. The sound design can be improved (like what was that bgm during the funeral scene i swear), and I honestly think they should have did a little more research into mental health and depression. The way they portrayed Kawi honestly made it seemed more like he had some form of psychosis or DID. I also couldn't really get behind Nene's back story. It felt like it really wasn't enough motivation to fuel her level of hatred. It honestly would've made a lot more sense if Nene and Pam switched backstories (but then that would've made it incest LOL)
-
11. Pluto
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
TLDR: Has the same level of mind-fuckery as BLANK, but more well-executed. Pluto excels in emotional resonance, but not so much in simp material.
Strengths: Originality and Innovation; Performance and Acting; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Cultural and Social Relevance; Sound Design and Music
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Editing and Pacing; Character Development
Overall: While I commend Pluto for it's originality, I am also of the conviction that it bit off more than it could chew. Murder mystery, romance, disability, friendship, classism, sibling rivalry. You name the theme, Pluto had it. But a plot as complex as this, can be difficult to pull off even for a kdrama, much less a thai drama. The first 8 episodes were a bit of a mess, with fluctuating pacing and plot points that just didn't make any sense at all. The initial episodes set the stage for a murder mystery, only for the story to veer off in a completely direction. I also couldn't quite get behind why May was so hung up on Ploy fr. Pluto finishes off rather strongly with the remaining 4 episodes (if I were to ignore the fact that May's dad randomly and abruptly became a completely different person for the sake of wrapping up the story). Pluto's greatest strength lies in its emotional depth. If it had the proper runtime and was more equipped to handle such an ambitious plot, perhaps I would've liked it a little better.

12. Somewhere Somehow
Thai Drama - 2025, 13 episodes
TLDR: If you hated Dream, try not to let your impression of it deter you from this series
Strengths: Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Emotional Resonance and Impact
Overall: This series had genuinely surpassed my expectations. It had a decent storyline and direction. Looknam has gotta be one of IDH's greatest assets because she slays all her roles every damn time. Another thing this series definitely did well was the character development of Pheem's dad. This series is definitely the first thai gl that realistically gives a 7 year timeline for a strict parent to develop into an understanding one, and only after coming face to face with a love that is more noble than his. That being said, it had some annoying flaws that Dream had. I'm not sure what's IDH's obsession with writing Fay out to be this dimwit character who repeatedly acts like an idiot at crucial moments. It's something that gets stale pretty quickly and gets on my nerve. While this series didn't drag it out too much like Dream did, it still had some elements of it. This series definitely did FayMay a lot more justice than Dream did. It didn't have any major jaw-dropping or heart-stopping moments, but overall it was a decent romcom that had potential to be great (if they didn't overuse certain ideas).
-
13. Heart Code
Thai Drama - 2026, 7 episodes
TLDR: Slow burn ❌ Slow mo ✅ because pretty much the entire series had a slow-mo filter applied across it.
Strengths: Character Development; Performance and Acting; Cinematography and Visuals; Originality and Innovation
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact
Overall: Ngl, if they took the slow-mo filter away the total duration would probably amount to 5eps or smth. However, this series still showed promising potential. Compared to current standards of most Thai GLs, it was generally well-written and well produced. It also had a unique plot idea surrounding it. Thai GLs often struggle with mystery and crime, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it was executed here. However, I personally find it hard to immerse in any shows where our FLs are lying to each other about major things such as their identity, and motives, and such. It takes away much of the delulu material for me once they start off on such terms (lying) with each other and Heart Code here was no exception. Realistically, think about if you ever loved and dated someone who lied to you about who they were and why they were trying to get close to you. Breaking trust like that is not something that is easily mendable, if even mendable at all. So yea I can see why many people loved this series, but it is just not for me.
-
14. Harmony Secret
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: The pilot was a scam and this series rly gives Petrichor a run for its money in terms of which has the worst sound design LOL
Strengths: Story and Writing; Direction; Performance and Acting; Originality and Innovation
Weaknesses: Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music; Character Development
Overall: The pacing is the biggest weakness of this series. The plot doesn't seem overly ambitious or anything, but for some reason the pacing was still choppy, awkward and rushed. Especially so in the final episode. Perhaps because they dedicated way too much screentime to evil dad who keeps repeatedly yapping about winning is the only thing that matters. Which, by the way, this evil dad is the exact carbon copy of the dad from Pluto. Also, what was the whole point of May's dad faking an illness? They didn't even do anything with that plot point afterwards. The concept of the show and LMSY's acting are probably it's biggest saving grace and what made this series an engaging watch despite all the flaws. I feel like this series had a potential to be a very suspenseful and engaging drama, if they had opted to do 12 episodes. Almost every flaw in this series had resulted from them trying to rush through plot points and not having enough time to develop the characters properly.
-
15. Only You
Thai Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
TLDR: If they kissed like lovers instead of like besties, this could have been a bearable series
Strengths: Story and Writing; Character Development; Performance and Acting
Weaknesses: Direction; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact
Overall: LingOrm's chemistry is undeniable, but the way they kissed in this series was just not it. Only You has all the typical problems that a thai drama has. Small misunderstandings overblown to create angst, choppy pacing, messy direction, etc. But it also has a few pretty original elements. I have to admit, this show is not as predictable as thai GLs usually are. The confession and proposal scenes are the highlights of this series for me. That being said, this series was definitely a downgrade from, and a disappointment compared to TSOU. We're headed into a new wave of thai GL dramas this 2025, and while most dramas released this year have proven to be an improvement from the ones in 2024, Only You seems to be one of the few lagging behind. Tbf, TSOU was never that great of a series either, but at least they kissed well and acted like they were actually INTO each other. But there's none of that in Only You (which meant nOTHing carried the bad plot and writing). It wouldn't have made it this high up in this ranking list if it weren't for the fact that I'm biased towards LingOrm
-
16. Petrichor: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
TLDR: They were green flags for the most part, which is a rare find. But also, I don't think I've ever seen a show get their sound design and music this level of wrong.
Strengths: Story and Writing; Performance and Acting; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Cultural and Social Relevance; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Sound Design and Music; Direction; Character Development; Originality and Innovation; Editing and Pacing
Overall: This is epitome of how to write a bad twist villain 101. I'll commend Petrichor for its valiant attempt at writing and executing a murder mystery, but that's about it. The show's pretty predictable in that they very clearly and obviously shove certain things in your face with the intention of trying to trick you into thinking certain things. And then they whip you into a different direction the next second, hoping to be like "hA, gotcha". The sound design and music was horrendous, the BGMs selected often felt very inappropriate for the scene. Almost like it was done by someone who doesn't understand the basics of music or film. It's overall, a decent attempt, but just kind of amateurish in the way it's executed. We also don't get much EngLot because the main plot device isn't romance. But I'll admit, this was my first time actually watching EngLot, and their first kiss scene under the umbrella, in the rain, had me vibrating in place. Their chemistry was simply bursting through the screen. Its impeccable. And now that I'm a lot more well-acquainted with EngLot and their history, I can see why they were able to deliver such a mesmerizing performance. -
17. GAP
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
TLDR: So much cheating and so very explicit
Strengths: Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music; Cultural and Social Relevance; Character Development
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Performance and Acting; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Cinematography and Visuals
Overall: Story and writing is lazy and messy throughout GAP, and like every Thai GL ever, it uses lazy methods to create misunderstandings and blow them out of proportion. FreenBeck's acting in this series definitely leaves much to desire, and because of that a lot of the scenes that were supposed to be emotional, didn't quite elicit much of an emotional reaction from me. The directing also seems quite slipshod and many shots taken of FreenBeck were rather unflattering. But of course, I'm well aware of the way GAP and FreenBeck has cemented history for Thai GLs, and they will always hold a special place in my heart.
-
18. Uranus2324
Thai Movie - 2024
TLDR: Why so fucking depressing omg. I really really wanted to love this show, and I would've, if it weren't such a jumbled mess.
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Cinematography and Visuals; Sound Design and Music; Direction; Emotional Resonance and Impact
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Editing and Pacing
Overall: Very ambitious plot and concept that a Thai series clearly doesn't have the budget to execute well. But nonetheless they still did a decent job. The editing and pacing is a mess. The different universes do not have different colour palettes. There's only subtle differences in KathLin's appearances that unless you catch onto, you wouldn't register it's a different universe. You'll most likely be confused for a good 70% of the show before things finally start to fall into place a little bit at the very end. I'm usually an advocate against spoiling, but this is a rare exception where I would recommend actually spoiling yourself on it first before watching. Google up some explanations before watching, you'll understand and appreciate it a lot better that way. The script and dialogue is also somewhat awkward and unnatural. If it weren't for these flaws, this movie could've easily been one of the best Thai GL works ever. FreenBeck's acting is great here, and so are their visuals. Love the sound design, but best of all is the emotional impact of this show. It literally broke me.
-
19. Whale Store xoxo
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
TLDR: Significantly better than whatever mess 23.5 was. Justice delivered for MilkLove.
Strengths: Direction; Editing and Pacing; Performance and Acting; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Character Development
Overall: Both FLs are huge green flags. Episode 5 had me kicking my feet and giggling like a mad woman. Chompoo really annoyed me though, and you can't convince me she isn't a red flag. The people in town were major entitled assholes imo. Save for Chompoo's mom whom I agree was unfairly criticised by Wan, everyone else was just an unfriendly dickhead to someone who's clearly new in town. A couple of icks when they were tying up the story include Maewnam's mom and Chompoo's mom. Typically parents who are grade obsessed won't just change their entire worldview because you had one conversation with them. Chompoo's mom also went from throwing Tonnam's gift — clearly an act of hate — to suddenly proclaiming she wasn't hating, just confused as to how to act. Not convincing. That being said, this series is simple and meant to be cute. The pacing is decent and they did kind of rush the closing, but imo it's acceptable because they didn't make the characters out to be overly evil throughout the series (and expect them to make a 180 degree change at the end). The storyline can get a little repetitive, but overall it's still a decent watch.
-
20. Poisonous Love
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
TLDR: I really wanted to love this series but ep 9 made me so mad I can't-
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Overall: This series is epitome of a wattpad story written by a 14 year old. From the overused accidentally-falling-onto-each-other and all the oh so many coincidences to the cringey pickup lines, this series was so good yet so bad. I really do feel bad for Pat, but I swear she has like an IQ of 80 or something. If i'm being honest, I felt zero chemistry between the FLs. It was still quite sweet to watch the romance scenes at times because the actresses be following the script to a T, but because of the lack of chemistry, like aforementioned, some of the lines can get rather cringey at times. The story also seemed to struggle to come up with novel ideas for what our FLs should be doing when spending time together, opting instead for very simple eating scenes and dragging out a very one-dimensional conversation. The side couple honestly had better chemistry than our mains and its a pity they only get more screen time in the special episode.
-
21. Denied Love (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
TLDR: The funniest thing about this series is that the man (Rin's father) turns out to be the most likeable character
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Overall: Plot goes infuriatingly back and forth. I don't think I even need to elaborate on how much of a red flag Rin is. Ngl, by my standards of a healthy rlts, Khem herself is a red flag too LOL. The kissing was horrendous too like what is that duck beak pecking behaviour? But, I simped very hard for this series nonetheless. I have no idea why honestly. Maybe because they had a lot of NC scenes in the starting episodes or smth. Looking back on it, its probably just because of how purely trashy and toxic the entire premise was. Like a badly written Wattpad story that still keeps you reading despite knowing how bad it is.
-
22. Club Friday Hot Love Issue: Love Bully
Thai Special - 2024, 4 episodes
TLDR: Pacing is obviously going to be an issue with a 4 ep long series. But in terms of Thai GLs, it's still a watchable show I guess.
Strengths: Story and Writing; Direction; Performance and Acting; Cultural and Social Relevance; Originality and Innovation; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact
Overall: I guess I liked that they got straight to the point instead of dragging their feet for 5 whole eps (like most thai GLs do). But when you only have 4 eps of runtime, it's definitely not enough for a plot with depth. And they tried to mix in a bunch of stuffs instead of keeping it simple so, you can kind of already guess how that went. Messy wrap ups in the final ep where everyone turns 360 degrees over a new leaf, yay what's new.
-
23. Broken of Love
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
TLDR: Still watching but... lying, betrayal, impersonation tropes... Sigh... Feels more like a thriller than a romance drama atp.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Overall: I really tried to give this series the benefit of the doubt. But by ep 6 & 7, I've genuinely ran out of excuses. For a character to have dedicated their whole life to a vendetta, only for it to turn out to all have been for naught at the very end, is just terrible writing. And up till ep 7, we still do not fully know what actually happened that caused all the misunderstandings. As a result, throughout the entire series, whenever the characters fought, it all felt like empty conversations to me. Nothing they said make sense and all of their emotions were difficult to resonate with, because I have absolutely no idea what they're going on about, or what exactly they're so upset about. I've said it countless of times on this list now but lying and betrayal stories just don't float my boat. It's just not love to me. At all. I don't care if you fall in love in the process. When the victim finds out - and they will - it won't just stop at being heartbroken. Their entire self-worth and belief system crashes. It's a very cruel thing to do and no matter how you beautify it and tie it up with a ribbon, you'll never convince me that it's love. This series does have its strengths. Visuals, cinematography, acting and chemistry are all on point. I just can't simp over it and as it approached the end it became frustrating to watch.

24. Queendom (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
TLDR: Very mid. I struggle to comprehend why people think so highly of this series. It also really needs a slow burn warning tag.
Strengths: Character Development; Originality and Innovation; Performance and Acting
Weaknesses: Editing and Pacing; Direction; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Cultural and Social Relevance
Overall: I wished they would've switched back before dating and I was so glad when they initially drew the line and said they should switch back before hitting third base. But soon after, they decided fuck it. I really can't quite immerse myself into the idea that they are kissing and touching themselves. The way they kiss is also weird in a way that I can't really put my finger on (the side couple too so I'm guessing it's director's instructions). That aside, taking till the end of episode 6 for their first proper kiss has got to be an all-time slow for a thai GL. I literally was about to double check I wasn't watching a BL instead. For a series that had a whole high fantasy body swap theme going on, this show really managed to be quite boring and forgettable. I wished the swap took the forefront of the plot. But it didn't so, generally, the whole show felt more like a romcom slice of life, with the body swap theme taking a backseat. The two FLs were decently green flags though. It was a great portrayal of a healthy rlts with proper communication (maybe this contributed to my toxic ass feeling it was boring oop- idk). This show had the typical flaws of a thai gl: overly strict parent who suddenly turns into a different person at the last ep, unexplained mysterious magical person just for the sake of a plot, etc.

25. Love Design (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
TLDR: Not sure how they managed to turn a show that had an obviously decent budget into something so boring
Strengths: Character Development; Performance and Acting; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music; Originality and Innovation
Overall: They spend way too long on each frame. This whole thing could've easily been done in 6 episodes. The FLs do not have chemistry AT ALL. They give off such strong bestie vibes that it's even painful to watch at times. The side couple had way better chemistry and a more interesting dynamic going on. I was honestly looking forward to them more. While I understand they were trying to make our FLs 'green flags', the show struggles with keeping things interesting and engaging in said healthy relationship. Which, in their defense, most, if not all Thai dramas are not at that level yet. Which is why many thai dramas opt for cliche and toxic troupes instead. Love Design attempts to separate itself from that but fumbles in making up for the gap that appears in attempting to steer away from red flag characters. Additionally, they spend wayyyy too much time talking about architecture and their work in a way doesn't even value add to the show.

26. Affair
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
TLDR: What in the friend behaviour is this? So much internalized homophobia and comp het I could die.
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Sound Design and Music
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Editing and Pacing; Performance and Acting; Direction
Overall: Wan is probably the biggest simp to exist in the entire Thai GL universe (along with KathLin lmao). As much as I loved Wan's personality, Pleng was frustrating to watch. The editing reminds me a lot of S1 of Blank. Abrupt cuts and random too-loud BGMs being played had me cackling in my seat. The way the characters acted in the first half of the show was also just plain ridiculous I could hardly even take them seriously. The pacing fluctuates, with some arcs rushed while others meander. Everyone also (unsurprisingly) suddenly becomes a completely different person in the last ep because the story needs to wrap up. LMSY's acting were decent, but Pop's was a little painful to watch. I will admit though that Affair knows what its target audience wants, and it delivers in that aspect.
-
27. Blank Season 2
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
TLDR: Slightly better than S1 in terms of technicality, but standard of story writing and directing remains the same.
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Sound Design and Music; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction
Overall: The editing and pacing improved from season 1, and so did Yoko's acting. However, Aneung also joins the red sea and becomes a bit of a red flag herself. The standard is pretty similar to S1, with slight improvements. No longer do we see random zoom-ins and hear BGMs being played for 5s.
-
28. Blank
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
TLDR: It's called Blank cos it makes your mind go blank
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Sound Design and Music; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Editing and Pacing
Overall: Aneung is generally a green flag in this season, but Khun Neung is a whole red sea istg. However, Faye did very accurately capture Khun Neung's personality as portrayed in GAP and delivered. Faye is easily the strongest asset of the entire Blank series. Yoko's acting pales in comparison but her personality is endearing. Like any and every Thai GL, Blank uses very lazy ways to create misunderstandings and angst between the main leads. My main issue with Blank isn't just that it walks the tight rope of moral ethics, but the way it's edited and paced makes the entire story feel like its told in a very jarring way. The way they randomly play a BGM for 5s, abruptly cut to the next scene, and zoom in on the actresses' faces was so bad it actually made me laugh a little.

29. Reverse 4 You
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
TLDR: It was good in the first half, then irdk what they were thinking in the second half cos they fucked up a good thing fr
Strengths: Originality and Innovation; Story and Writing; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Performance and Acting
Overall: The first half gave a slice of life, romcom vibe, where the superpowers were not the main focus, which worked really well imo. It gave the series a unique spin and made it a standout. But the second half was when everything started falling apart. They tried to execute some murder mystery-esque plot but it was confusing, and full of loopholes. If Jattawa could remember things during the final time reversal (done by their father), why couldn't she remember all the previous timeskips he did? The last episode is a typical rushed closure that every thai GL does where every villain suddenly turns over a new leaf. Mae's acting was fine but Christine's acting really needs some work. I thought the chemistry in the first half was not bad (nothing to write home about, but it's decent), but couldn't feel much of the chemistry at all in the second half (I was pretty much just cringing at the flirty lines). I think it's safe to say that the cringey lines, terrible pacing and crazy plunge in direction that the story took is what ruined the chemistry between our FLs. They really had a good thing going at the beginning and it's just so disappointing that they didn't see it all the way through. -
30. Play Park
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
TLDR: I'm honestly quite shocked how CH3 managed to go from LingOrm & LenaMiu to this.
Strengths
Weaknesses
Overall: The plot is confusing and not well-explained at the start and then becomes incredibly boring as it goes on. And Tan desperately needs an acting class. Play Park is a classic case of thai GL writers trying to write healthy relationships but not knowing how to make it interesting so it becomes boring instead. The show does improve a little in the middle but still, it was difficult to sit through.

31. Love Design Special Episode
Thai Drama - 2025, 2 episodes
TLDR: Kitakyushu again???
Strengths: Character Development; Performance and Acting; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music; Originality and Innovation
Overall: Special episodes are for shows that didn't have time to show everything or when fans didn't get enough after the show ended and want to see more. This was neither. It was pointless. No idea what it was for lol. First of all, they both are red flags in here, which completely undermines whatever they were trying to do throughout the series. Second of all, having a fight over whether or not to get married is imo a larger thing to address than to simply just push it aside and push ahead with the proposal. If one party is not willing to get married, there are likely pretty big things that are misaligned in the rlts. But ignoring that, they decide to have a rather failed proposal in KITAKYUSHU again. And then the side couple also goes to KITAKYUSHU?? Like, we get it. You spent money on tickets to fly the whole cast there and all. But god damn did you really have to milk it that much?
-
32. Love Senior Special
Thai Drama - 2024, 5 episodes
TLDR: Slightly better than the original Love Senior series in that it's less frustrating to watch but not that much different.
Strengths: Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Character DevelopmentOverall: It's less frustrating to watch than the original series itself. While there's still misunderstandings that result in our FLs fighting, it's not nearly as blown out of proportion and as bias as it was in the original series. This special is also much more focused on the FLs' romance rather than the whole military army matriculation hoo haa, which is a plus point ig. Other than that, it remains pretty consistent with whatever the original series had to offer.
-
33. Love Senior
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
TLDR: It's college matriculation, not the damn army like chiLL, daMn. Certain eps are rly good and other eps js make you go like wtf are they writing.
Strengths: Editing and Pacing; Sound Design and Music; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Character DevelopmentOverall: I hate that they tried to portray Manaow as the bad person in the rlts, but honestly if you ask me, Gyoza is a huge red flag. Manaow is just a little emotional and reckless, but at the end of the day, she really is still a green flag. The show also seems very bias towards Gyoza's side of the coin. She constantly has a lot of supportive people around her but Manaow is left to suffer alone. Gyoza also does a lot of double standard things (like hanging out way too often with someone who used to have a crush on her and being close to a guy senior who cLEARLy likes her). These problems are likely due to the writers trying to write angst, but not being able to come up with a proper or more compelling reason as to why our FLs are fighting to the point of break up. Resulting in shallow misunderstandings being overblown into something huge for the sake of drama. And as such, Manaow's side of the story is entirely neglected. Love Senior had the potential to be a good show, if it weren't so infuriatingly bias.

34. (Your) Apple
Thai Drama - 2025, 33 episodes
TLDR: They were on an incredibly tight budget and they didn't even bother trying to hide it. Also, why do they make each ep like 30s long lmao
Strengths: Performance and Acting
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Editing and Pacing; Character Development; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Cultural and Social Relevance; Originality and Innovation
Overall: Slightly better than the first series in that it's less trashy wattpad-ish material. But still, very basic plot and somewhat amatuerish. Nothing really stood out to me, and I have a feeling I'll forget all about this series all too soon. In this series, Kris becomes the major red flag instead though while Karn became more of a green flag than a red one. The slow ass pacing remains, and so does OrmFolk's bestie vibes only energy.
-
35. Apple My Love
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
TLDR: What in the wattpad writing is this
Strengths: Performance and Acting
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Editing and Pacing; Character Development; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Cultural and Social Relevance; Originality and Innovation
Overall: The entire story felt very amateurish, predictable and overly simple. As if it was written by someone who's new to writing fiction. The actions of the characters were weird, unnatural, and clearly for achieving a certain plot progression that the author had in mind (cough cough like when Kris downed 5 sips of beer and immediately got batshit wasted after 10s). The antagonists are evil, just because. Coincidences happen, just because. I do enjoy my share of trashy wattpad-standard stories, but I also can't say it makes for a good drama series. The pacing in Apple is also very slow. You constantly get shots of the actresses' sleeping faces for a good 15s and random scenes that don't add to the story. And don't even get me started on the side couple. If they were going to dedicate a mere 5 mins to wrap up all the side characters in the last ep, then I really don't get why they bothered dedicating so much screen time to the side couple. Karn was also a major red flag imo, esp during the ending episodes. Though, Kris herself isn't that green of a flag either. While the 'lie' and 'impersonation' trope in Apple wasn't as frustrating to watch as 23.5, it is undoubtedly still lying to your partner. Just because Karn knew, doesn't mean Kris didn't lie. Because she thinks Karn doesn't know, she is, in fact, still lying. Lastly, OrmFolk's chemistry radiates friend vibes to me. It's not one of romantic chemistry, and because of that a lot of the cutesy scenes came off as more of cringey to me. Orm's acting is probably Apple's greatest (and only) strength.

36. Mate
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
TLDR: 50% Aoey crying and screaming, 50% toxic ass behaviour. The internalized homophobia is genuinely through the roof. Also, get ThE BL COuPLE OUT oF THe DAMN SCREEN THIS IS A GL.
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Originality and Innovation
Overall: If you thought Pleng from Affair had a lot of internalized homophobia, Gen here takes it to a whole new level. The characters are so toxic (all of them, not just the FLs), and in so much denial (which seems to be a recurring theme in Chao Planoy's works). Our FLs spend so much time fighting and ignoring each other that they honestly seem more like they hate each other than like each other. In a previous review I wrote on Blank, I said Khun Neung is a whole red sea. Well, I take that back. That title belongs to GenLong instead. GraceOaey's acting and chemistry were decent. But everything else in this show was an absolute mess. The worst part of all is that they included a BL bed scene- what??? This series dedicates so much screentime to the BL side couple it's actually ridiculous. They clearly do not understand who their target audience is. If I'm here to watch 2 girls kiss, what's the likelihood that I'll also be into watching 2 guys kiss? Low. And even if I was into it, I'd watch a BL instead. There's an abundance of BLs out there, and GLs are finally only getting their fair share recently. No need to dump even more BL into the already scarce amount of GLs come on, get a grip.

37. Unlock Your Love
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
TLDR: Similar to BmineNear's first series so far in terms of a bland and boring plot, but at least the conversations are a little more engaging and funny i guess.
Strengths: Nothing because its so bland I have nothing to say about it
Weaknesses: Think of emptiness. A void. Yea, now try to review it. You'll realize can't because there's nothing there.
Overall: It's slightly more entertaining than Lucky My Love, but still rather bland and boring. I'm sure I'll forget the story in due time. Except for Love, everyone else in here was a red flag. Rain's anti-romantic behaviours also took away a huge part of the simp material for me. The writing is amateurish and the acting of the supporting cast was mostly just straight up reciting of their scripts. Nothing much has changed from their first series other than it's a very minutely, slightly more bearable watch.
-
38. Show Me Love
Thai Drama - 2023, 9 episodes
TLDR: Beauty pageant catty bitches being bitches. EngLot was somehow allergic to kissing in this entire show so just watch the special episode (i.e. the last ep).
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Cultural and Social Relevance; Cinematography and Visuals
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Originality and Innovation
Overall: I don't remember much of this show at all even though I've just finished watching it. So much time was spent on random, irrelevant side characters that EngLot didn't even feel like the main characters anymore. They also kept showing EngLot nearly kissing, but never actually kissing, for the entirety of the show. I didn't get where the plot was going at all and till the very end, I still don't think I figured out what exactly they were trying to do with the whole show. If the point was to showcase thai beauty pageants and EngLot, then this show did a very bad job of it.
-
39. Lucky My Love
Thai Drama - 2023, 5 episodes
TLDR: So boring that I almost fell asleep watching it. All the characters are so one-dimensional and bland, and the entire series is so forgettable. This would've been rated a 0/10 if I could score it that way.
Strengths: Nothing...?
Weaknesses: Idk if I can really name something as a weakness either, everything is just so bland and flat that I can't even review it properly.
Overall: If you thought EngLot's Show Me Love was boring, this series takes boring to a whole new level. They met at work and started dating. There, 7 words are enough to sum up the whole thing. While I get that they only had 5 eps of runtime and hence would've wanted to keep things simple, they still had more than an hour of runtime in total. Which is about the length of a short movie, more than enough for a decent plot with a simple climax and resolution. But we get none of that here. The characters have no depth, personality, nor backstories (yes not even our FLs have backstories). Their scripts are awkward, they speak to themselves out loud, and they do weird things that one normally wouldn't do to a colleague they just met. The acting was below average, and call me bias but I don't think Bmine and Near have chemistry at all.
-
40. My Marvellous Dream Is You
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
TLDR: Start watching from ep 10 onwards, trust me. This would've been rated a -10/10 if I could score it that way.
Strengths: Performance and Acting; Cultural and Social Relevance
Weaknesses: Story and Writing; Direction; Character Development; Editing and Pacing; Emotional Resonance and Impact; Originality and Innovation
Overall: The plot and character dynamics do not change for the entirety of 10 episodes. The main characters, Kim and Wan are written to act like absolute dimwits. They cannot express their feelings, and they spend 10 whole episodes being cold to each other, not admitting their feelings, and acting like they hate each other. You don't get any simp material up til the very last episodes. The main antagonist, Jessie, is also introduced to be this hella evil bitch, only to be completely forgotten about halfway into the show. The storyline focuses too much on other things thats not about their own relationship (career, parents, metaphorical dreams, etc). In any form of creative art, it is pretty common basic knowledge not to use 'oh its just a dream' too recklessly because you're asking the audience to feel invested in and involved with characters, that, in the end, meant nothing. This show was frustrating, and tested the limits of my patience. Mon and Mali are the only saving grace in the entire series. Loved them.
-
41. 23.5
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
TLDR: Gave me hypertension and made me want to pull all my hair out. This would've been rated a -32/10 if I could score it that way. Watch it if you'd like to test the limits of your sanity ig.
Strengths: ViewJune lmao (which are also a sunken ship now)
Weaknesses: Story and Writing, Direction, Emotional Resonance, Character Development, Originality and Innovation
Overall: The pacing is really slow, and so much screen time is given to the supporting characters that the main leads don't even feel like main leads anymore. Ongsa also starts to get intolerably annoying as the series progresses. It's as if she preferred having a crush over being in an actual relationship. I kid you not when I say I was punching the air watching Ongsa do the dumbest shits time and time again. And yet Sun is always the one chasing her to make up for it. It didn't feel like the love was mutual at all. Rather, it felt like Sun was the only one who loved Ongsa. People like 23.5 for it's fluffy teen romance, but for me, I just can't get behind all of Ongsa's actions. It's one thing to be shy. It's another when you make up lie after lies, hurting someone you claim to love, and at the end of it all when everything gets exposed, you don't even have the decency to take proper accountability for it. Like yes, thai GLs usually have red flag characters, but Ongsa really takes the definition of red flag to the next level. Sun did call her out for it, but whatever redemption arc they tried to have for Ongsa still didn't negate the frustrations of the first 8 eps for me. I adore MilkLove, but the writing and direction in this series simply did not do them justice.
