Seok Matthew is a Canadian-South Korean singer, dancer, and member of ZEROBASEONE (제로베이스원, often abbreviated as ZB1). He attended Western University but dropped out of the Health Sciences program to pursue his dream of becoming a singer.

Before debuting, he spent several years as a trainee at HYBE Entertainment Japan, where he was set to participate in the survival show that formed &TEAM, but was cut off before it started. He then moved to CUBE Entertainment and later to MNH Entertainment (MNH엔터테인먼트), spending another year and a half as a trainee.

In February 2023, he entered the singing survival show "Boys Planet", where he finished in 3rd place and was able to join the project group. He made his debut in July 2023 as ZB1's vocalist and rapper with their first mini-album, "Youth in the Shade". They are managed by WakeOne Entertainment (웨이크원엔터테인먼트) and their contract was set to last for two and a half years.

In March 2024, they debuted in Japan under LAPONE Entertainment with the single "Yura Yura".

In January 2026, they signed a 2-month extension to complete group activities, including a concert. In March of that year, the contract ended, but he decided to continue under WakeOne as ZB1.
