Shim Shin is a South Korean singer. He graduated from Daejeon Commercial High School and later attended the Industrial Design program at Woosong Technical College but dropped out to focus on his singing career.

He made his debut in 1990 with the single "I Love Even Your Sadness" (그대 슬픔까지 사랑해). However, it was the single "You're the Only One" (오직 하나뿐인 그대) the song that made him a star in the early 1990s, winning numerous music awards between 1990 and 1992. His popularity began declining around 1993 when he revealed a relationship with Kang Susie, something unusual for celebrities to admit at the time.

He briefly went into acting and then focused on singing OSTs for different dramas. He moved to the United States to learn jazz and resumed his career in South Korean in 2007.
He is the father of Kiss of Life's Belle.
