Kim Tae Sool is a South Korean retired basketball player turned coach and broadcaster. He graduated from Dong Ah High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Yonsei University.

He was selected by the Seoul SK Knights with the 1st overall pick of the 2007 KBL Draft and won the Rookie of the Year Award at the end of that season. After spending two years with the team, he was surprisingly traded to Anyang in 2009, but he immediately enlisted for his mandatory military service. He finally played for his new team after being discharged in early 2011, and the young team managed to reach the final of the Championship playoffs and defeat regular-season champions Wonju Dongbu Promy.

He then moved to Jeonju KCC Egis (now based in Busan), where he spent 2 years but suffered a severe slump in his statistics during his time there. In his final years as a player, he spent time with the Seoul Samsung Thunders, mentoring younger players and spent one year with Wonju before announcing his retirement in May 2021. Internationally, he won a bronze medal at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship in the Philippines and a gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.

After retiring, he worked as a commentator for SPOTV, MBC and tvN between 2022 and 2024 before working as the head coach of Goyang Sono Skygunners for one year. In June 2025, he married actress Park Ha Na at a private ceremony in Seoul.
