Joo So Young, known professionally as Yoo So Young, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, and former member of AFTER SCHOOL (애프터스쿨). She graduated from Seoul National University of Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Chung-Ang University.

She made her acting debut in 2005 with a role in KBS "TV Kindergarten One Two Three". That same year, she entered the 75th Miss Chunhyang pageant and ended up in 2nd place.

She then made her singing debut in January 2009 as AFTER SCHOOL's vocalist and lead dancer with their first single album, "New Schoolgirl". They received attention for their unique live performances, often incorporating different performance styles into their songs, including drums, tap dancing and pole dancing.

However, Pledis Entertainment (플레디스 엔터테인먼트) announced her departure in October of that year as she wanted to focus on becoming an actress.

She is known for her supporting roles in dramas, such as "Dream High 2" and "High Society". She is not represented by any agency.
