Vincent Giry, born December 9, 1979 in Perigueux, Dordogne, France, is an actor, lyricist, Radio-DJ and a reporter in Japan. He started acting for local theatres in junior high school.Also a big lover of Japan since childhood, started to study Japanese language and civilization at Bordeaux University (France) and came to Japan in 2000 to continue his studies at Dokkyo University. While being at university, he started to work as a model for Japanese magazines and then as an actor for Japanese TV in 2001. Since then, continues sharing his career between TV dramas ("Nodame Cantabile SP in Europe", "O banzai") and featured movies ("Nodame Cantabile Movie"), TV-shows (NHK world "Out & About", NHK Kyouiku "Terebi de Furansugo", MX TV "Go ji ni muchuu") and works as a writer (lyrics, scenarios).
Has also won the "Mr. Harlequin Contest 2009" as "Mr. Royal".

Also feeling strongly concerned by the necessity of fighting against all types of violence, abuse and segregation, poverty, environmental disasters as industrial pollution, and considering the fact of working in medias a favorable position to transmit those messages to as many people as possible, will continue to promote concretely those and to establish more volunteer actions.
