Walter Tat Wah Tso was born on September 15, 1915 in Taishan, Guangdong Province, China. His family moved to Hong Kong when he was quite young. He was an actor and producer. In his long and prolific career, Tso took part in no less than 700 films, most of which are of the Martial Art type, but also with diversions into other genres like cloak-and-dagger and detective films. In 2001, Tso was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Hong Kong Film Critics Association. In 2003, he was given the Professional Achievement Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards. He died in 2007 in London, England.
