Kimura Shogo is a Japanese actor born in Kumamoto prefecture. Later in his life he moved to Kansai due to his father's work. At the age of 20, he moved to Tokyo and became a salaryman in textile product sales at a trading company. Meanwhile, he began attending small troupe workshops as part of his hobbies.

One day, news of an audition for Miwa Akihiro's stage play "Fur Marie" (2001, PARCO Theater) came to the theater company, and Kimura, who was not a member of a regular theater company, also decided to take part in the auditions. As a result, he passed and was invited to Miwa's office at the same time, so he quit the trading company and chose the path to the entertainment world. Since then, he has been active mainly on the stage but often appears with Miwa.
