Like I know this is a novel adaptation and there must be a huge pressure seeing how many people were waiting for it, but the dialogues feel so unnatural and forced and a little bit cringe at times, and I know LJ and CZY are not to blame at all here, so where were the scripwriters?
The way we get no context nor introduction about what's happening in each scene is making me lose interest, we jump from one scene to the other with a black screen and that's it, no continuity or coherence.
And finally my last and biggest complain... why are they both acting like they already love each other, where is the get-to-know part, why is she acting betrayed when dude has been there just ☺️ the whole time???
Dragging this who is the killer suspense too long. I can't believe this will be 36 episodes. Main leads need more…
Did you all forget this was a thriller, mystery and romance drama or... why are you surprised the case is taking too long already when everything is just starting?
The rest of us want to see healthy people make healthy choices and have healthy relationships, something no one can demand of LY right after a close friend has been murdered... for the second time.
I was thinking why didn’t he hug her outside the morgue? Instead he just squatted there.
I always go back to that flashback of JCY refusing to accept LY's confession because he didn't want to waste her time if he was going away for the police academy, even when he liked her, he thought that was for the best for both LY and himself. So I really believe he is always trying to take a step back and see the full picture, be patient with her, and in a way, trust that she is making those choices for a reason.
I actually feel bad for Johnny’s character - she is the kind of person who pushes people away when something…
Honestly her retreat is totally valid taking into consideration that she thinks QWW called for her help and she didn't answer because she was on a date with him, I think he understands that tho, that's why he is not pressuring her.

I know, right? And when she told him not to contact her again he just stood there like🧍♂️
I actually appreciated how down to earth his character is, he is not your typical domeeniring ML in control of every situation, but the lack of reaction in these situations aren't it, your girl is breaking down during the interrogation? To hell with protocols, go to her side and hug her, a stalker drugged her and touched her? Be this close 👌 to killing him on the spot.
Even when she heard about WQQ on his call after the kiss, he could've offered a 'I'll call you later' or an 'everything's gonna be alright'.
Johnny isn't looking as devastated and desperate to keep her safe as I'd hoped for 😩 meanwhile, Sun Qian is terrific as always! Her scenes with Jackie Li are just heart wrenching.
Could be. I also think the killer could be the same as in the novel, a man skilled in makeup and disguise, with a feminine physique, so I'm with you on YBF being sus.
WP is definitely the most suspicious one right now, Ding Jing's reaction to him gave something away, and his abusive and neglected by his mother background is somehow similar to the killer's in the novel, but I still feel it is too soon and too obvious, for now I think they are leading us on, because: 1) killer's physique is different from WP imo, 2) I'm not sure there was enough time after the premiere of the movie and the disposal of WQQ's body in a seemingly remote area, for WP to complete the murder, and 3) hurting JCY was the ultimate motive behind the murdering of those close to LY in the novel, and in one of the teasers JCY questions if his return triggered the killer's actions, so I'm thinking that maybe he is still the main target, not LY, if WP was the culprit.
Let's wait and see tho, we are not even past one third of it all!
One thing I like about this is the fact that there's no hate and disdain from ML's side for the FL even after…
Even when he was admitting that he was indeed angry, and then confessed that he was sad she didn't go to see him one last time 😢 The love they had and still have for one another has always been so palpable, neither of them have really doubted it for a minute 😭
that kind of makes sense because the solstice is on the 21st.
They announced the premiere date for Under the Skin only 5 days prior the release, I lean more towards the 21st (because, obviously 😅) so the news could come anytime soon.
Has a better translation imo, and the link to the chapters where they started or left off.
