I heard that it should be realeased in April 2023, which would be quite fast. But aside from that there are only…
Same here. I hope I will be done with my fanfictions in time, so that there is a smooth continuation. And let's see if Be Reborn 2 inspires me as much as the first season did. :)
First arc is good.. I like the story of Mr Ding planned the heist very detail and strategic. And some arc are…
I think it is because Xu Zhengqing didn't know what Wenjie knew. Ding Shenghuo was in prison for 10 years, so only one year before the drama starts Mr Ding was released from prison and Mr Xu learned that Wenjie might know about the secret of the painting. Personally I think Mr Ding's true plan has never really been Wenjie, but to create a trap for Xu Zhengqing without selling him out directly (thief's honor and all, can't work with the police). But now and then I also wondered why Mr Xu didn't kidnap Wenjie earlier and just tried to find out whether he knows about the painting earlier. Maybe Wenjie's father is still alive and made sure that the villian's couldn't approach his son earlier. But then the question would be, why he didn't interfere in the end when Mr Xu tried to kill Wenjie? In my fanfiction it is because Mr Xu managed to capture Yaobai shortly before the drama started and since Yaobai wouldn't tell him the secret Mr Xu decided to go for Wenjie.
Maybe it was to give him a hetero relationship and someone he really cares about. His two friends did benefit…
Personally I also saw more chemistry between Wenjie and one of the bad guys and therefore I can understand you there, since I didn't feel much chemistry between Zhiyue and Wenjie as well. Only after re-watching and paying more attention to them I noticed Wenjie's reaction towards her whenever they met. It was subtle, but it was there.. I mentioned the two friends as blackmail material because making her his girlfriend makes her an even better target. But that would mean that there was more between them beforehand. Maybe they also included the last scene to make those viewers happy who would have loved to see them together or maybe it is because they wanted to prevent people to go wild about homoerotic pairings. But people will do that anyways, so yeah I can see your point why you think it was useless to make her his girlfriend. Still I think it was not necessarily a bad thing to do. It made some people happy I guess, so I don't mind it. :)
someone tell me, what was the point of making that girl into wenjie's girlfriend?? they literally barely interacted…
Maybe it was to give him a hetero relationship and someone he really cares about. His two friends did benefit the story in so far that they could be used to blackmail Wenjie. Concerning the plot that way the meaning to include them, and to show that Wenjie is not completely alone, but still has at least two friends. Also it seems that she chased him for quite a long time already, but not until the end of the drama was he willing to actually accept her love. The drama itself was crime/thriller thus the focus was not on their relationship but during the drama here and then were hints that they have a bond. To me that was enough but I can relate that other people who are used to direkt presentation of intimate relationships might feel that it was too subtle.
It’s an amazing series….every eps kept me on the edge of my seat. Don’t hesitate and give it a try. I finished…
I loved the dynamic between Luo Jian and Zhuang Wenjie as well. Given his background from a psychologiyal point of view Wenjie's actions are quite understandable. Those people who judge him obviously have a lack of psychological understanding. Maybe they are also still young and inexperienced, therefore are unable to understand why from psychological point of view Wenjie's actions are logical and believable. I also think, that due to Wenjie making wrong decisions the drama became suspenseful. People seem to disregard that because characters have flaws and make mistakes a story becomes suspenseful. If everyone always makes the right decision there is no suspense at all. Once I wrote a chapter for a story from a very professional point of view. The feedback was -> there are no conflicts in this chapter, you should include conflicts. But if a person always makes the right decision there is no conflict, because the right decision will lead to quick, easy and correct outcomes. That's why I was even happy about Wenjie making wrong decisions, because this way he ended up in dangerous situations which was quite suspenseful for me. :) And to me he is also quite adorable. :) Feel free to join my discord channel if you want to talk about Be Reborn some more. There is a high chance I think that season two might be a direct continuation with the same cast. I hope that my perception about it is correct. :)
I've created a permanent Dicord Link for Be Reborn Fans. This way it should not become invalid anymore. :) The link is in my profile, alongside with the links to my Fanfiction which I transferred to ao3.
why did wenjie trust that xu guy so badly… he literally came from a family full of theives …
I think that's because Mr. Xu took advantage of his major weakness. Personally I believe that Wenjie studied Law because his future goal was to investigate the death of his father. That's also why he easily took Ding Shenghuo's bait concerning the Iris. In addition he probably misunderstood Captain Luo's lecture after Su Ying's appearance. Captain Luo still felt bad about making him such a risk during the Water Lily case and was extremely worried something like that might happen again. When Su Ying appeared he took his worries and anger about Su Ying interfering with his case out on Wenjie. Wenjie was hurt by that, because lonely people who are used to do everything on their own are triggered by such a violent behavior. I know that because I am similar. When someone acts nice, I take the helping hand, but when the same person suddenly barks at me I can easily feel hurt and cut connections, because I am used to be alone anyways. Mr. Xu as we know stalked Wenjie and I guess he knew about Wenjies movements long before he saved him from the warehouse. After saving him, he used psychological techniques to make Wenjie trust him. He was a very cunning man who knew exactly wich triggers to push. He knew how to treat Wenjie, to trigger his need for someone who would understand his pains and longing. If you watch closely he played some kind of push and pull game with Wenjie, showing him lot's of kindness, giving him hints, showing guilt, trying to help, allowing Wenjie to take the first move and lead. He admitted his mistakes and I guess he would have even have a reasonable explanation for how he knew that Wenjie was in the hands of the smugglers. And Wenjie, who wanted to solve the mystery about his father was lured in because it seemed as if Mr. Xu was the only person who could get him closer to the truth. I also think that Wenjie didn't completely trust him, but that whenever he started to doubt Mr. Xu, Mr. Xu just brought up something reasonable that distracted him from his doubts. Also only because Wenjie is from a familiy of thieves , he is an individual and can take a complete different path. We are not like our parents and his childhood trauma was never resolved. He had never the chance to really say goodbye and let go. He was alone most of his childhood, feeling betrayed by his family on the one hand, but loving them on the other hand, treat badly by peers, but still longing for friends. Mr. Xu just exploited that and used his weaknesses against him.

The necklace was from his father? Do you remember in which episode that was shown? I must have missed that. Somehow I believed the necklace was from his mother because he holds the pendant while looking at the picture of his mother. Would be great if you remember the episode it was said, so that I can confirm it. :)Might have to change my last fanfiction chapter then, since I thought the necklace is from his mother.
