The last episode has a slight cliffhanger, but it's more like a teaser. The case is closed though, but in the end there is a small hint, that there is more about the mystery concerning Wenjie's father. It's like - now you think everything is fine and you can move on, but no, there is more. So we can expect a sequel. The sequel is confirmed already as well and from what I saw the main cast will also appear. At least that's my guess from the information I got.

My immediate thought was at first -> everyone can put Da Mi's jacket over a random skeleton. But I wonder slightly why they included a scene in which her grandpa sees her spirit. Usually such scenes signify that a character really died. Still the whole scenario is somehow suspicion. I also think it might still be possible that Da Mi is still alive.

I only discovered this recently https://tv-1.chinesemov.com/tv/2023/Be-Reborn-2 According to this page at least Wang Junkai, Zhang Yi and Pan Yueming will be in Be Reborn 2. It still says 2023 as release date but I highly doubt that. However I hope that we will get some reliable news soon. :)

Interesting. Because I also think that Jihoon is suspicious and somehow related to Gaetal. So in the webtoon he actually is Gaetal. I'm curious if this will also be the case in the drama or if they follow the webtoon plot. :)

Yeah, you're right. I suspected him in the beginning to be Gaetal. Then it was revealed that he is a psychopath and I also felt that he was the true murder behind the death of the professor's daughter. Thus I began to doubt he can be Gaetal. Your argument is quite good. It atually proofs that the teacher can't be Gaetal, aside from the reveal being to early, which is also a hint for him not being Gaetal. Your assumption, I strongly feel that you may be right about that. I even came up with the theory just now that maybe Gaetal and the Killing Vote may be the trap the ML and the professor talk about. The professor said that ML wanted to create a trap to catch the accomplice of his daughter's murderer. So maybe ML is behind Gaetal and the Killing Vote and the whole thing is the trap he set up to catch the teacher. I also think that the teacher knows that Gaetal will be after him as well and it makes lot of sense to me what you hinted at in the end of your comment.

That's what came to my mind as well. I looked up how many episodes are still left. Seeing that we just reached the middle of the drama, there is no way that they reveal the true Gaetal this early. However I have this feeling that the student knows something or is related somehow to Gaetal. Why does he always accidently appear at the crime scenes, as if someone directed him to be there? Also I think there is more to his guilt speech and to what the fake doctor at the hospital said. As for ML. Not sure if he can be Gaetal. Somehow it would suit his character and past. At the hospital scene I had the impression that he actually killed that fake doctor on purpose and just pretended it was not intentional. --- Oh wait. A theory just popped up in my head. KSJ talked about traps with ML. What if this whole killing vote thing and Gaetal himself is actually a set up? What if the trap is Gaetal and the Killing Vote. And the trap is set up to catch the teacher. So the teacher, by copying Gaetal now fell into the trap. Does this make any sense? ^^

I think so too, because the reveal came to early. I think they lead us into the wrong direction on purpose. In the beginning they made it look like the teacher could be Gaetal. Later on when we learned the teacher is a psycho I thought, ok he can't be Gaetal then. Now they come up with strange explanations why he could still be Gaetal. But the timing is wrong. That's why the teacher must be a red herring here. Maybe he tries to play games with Gaetal, since both of them are hackers or he only thinks it's fun to copy Gaetal. However he started with his games in the early episodes already. He was up to something already during the second killing vote. And I guess he has his own agenda to copy Gaetal. Maybe he even wants to find true Gaetal himself to destroy him.

I really wish I could like the FL and her sister, but unfortunately I have to agree with the majority here, that these characters were written quite poorly. I can tolerate them, but it is a shame that they were written this way, since a FL computer expert would have been quite interesting, if only the writer would made her a true expert and genious. *sighs deeply* We need more genious women in dramas and genious women can be cute as well though. As for the who Gaetal is. If I compare the drama with other crime dramas and consider that we have 12 episodes, it is too early to reveal the true culprit. It would be very unlikely for a korean crime drama to reveal the main culprit like that in the middle of the drama. We have still 6 episodes to go. Even though I suspected the teacher from the beginning on (there were hints already in the early episodes) I can't help but think, that it doesn't follow the script of typical korean crime dramas if the reveal in episode 6 would be true. It is too early. Thus I think it's a red herring and we are fooled. Gaetal even though my instincts suspected the teacher, might be snomeone else. If we had only 8 episodes though I would say, the teacher is Gaetal for sure.

Thanks for the Spoiler :) I'm relieved now that she survives. Hopefully she can get justice somehow. And like you, I hope that Cheng Gong looses everything in the end and I notice in Age of Legends he played the main villian though. The actor is good with playing villians though.

The reason why I was also hesistant to judge him in the beginning, was because I encountered various dramas already in which memory scenes are not always necessarily showing the whole truth. Also his behaviour was very manipulative, so that someone can easily fall for his traps. In another drama I onced watched there was also a villian who was really a great villian, because he was so manipulative that someone could easily fall for his trap. This is a similar case. But as soon as the plot developped and more and more was clarified Cheng Gong's it became obvious that these memory scene were all true. Thus, in the beginning I considered both of them to be victims. But later on, when the plot developped I wondered how Lin Kan was able to stay his lawyer? It must have been so hard. She basically went through the same with her teacher once. I think deep down she wished she could find some evidence that would be of help for Zhao Xun.

Same here. In the beginning I really thought, maybe he was not aware of her struggling and from his side it might have really been a misunderstand. But then he admitted he knew and even enjoyed her struggling. That was also the moment when I lost it.
