I guess being cute and airheady gets LJ places LOL Why isn't he asking his sunbae HJ for help with office stuff?…
Exactly! LJ bewildered face asking what paperwork is ๐๐๐ really? No surprise everybody rolls their eyes and get back to work ...at this point Hyun Jae should have seriously taking him to a room and start teaching him basic admin. I would also be feeling cheated if I worked my ass off to get the internship and someone with 0 knowledge got there too. More so if I got LJ there because I like him, so stands to reason that I would want him to succeed, hence the extra teachings. Of course I would be very suspicious of some serious nepotism involved.
Well, following on the comments below, I agree with the disjointed scenes ... I'm still trying to see a clear plot in here. Also he seems to have 0 knowledge of basic admin ... macros, cloud, PP presentations... all of it sounds "chinese" to LJ, in the basis of what was he employed?? he's an intern there to learn but all interns have to have at least some basic knowledge of office programs! With regard to the "cheating" Director comments... if the translation is correct, in the next ep advance scenes, the girls says they WERE ENGAGED, meaning they no longer are so that's that. But yes, why to call her fiancรฉe if she's not anymore?? Way to create drama out of thin air I do hope the next eps also clear who's in love with who, 'cos at this point I'm not sure if Simeon was in love with LJ or Hyun Jae? or just with LJ? and Hyun Jae, was always in love with LJ? if so why still not saying anything? and now Simeon is just in love with LJ or he's trying to make Hyun Jae jealous?
This is the dream of a psycho writer! Nobody with a normal, healthy brain can think of so much misery and bad luck. Not sure why it did not finish with a final scene where everybody gets leprosy and herpes, while having a train accident in the middle of an earthquake!! Just to gild the pill a bit more that already is... my goodness... whenever you think they are gonna be OK, then something worse happens and this keeps repeating itself until is almost laughable tbh. Also what's with that truly, truly annoying trope of always forgiving everybody regardless of how evil have been... what's got to happen for this to change? a story where they harvest the hearts of little children and then sell the bodies to make burgers??? So annoying and unrealistic. Only someone looking for free ticket to sainthood would do that. At the very end the only thing I could think of, was that the poor Choi Ji Woo and Kwon Sang Woo were prob freezing their asses off as they seemed to be sitting in wet sand in the middle of korean winter!! Music was lovely though...
I loved that they ended up together but as a whole I was a bit disappointed. My main grip is that Ren never got closure after being treated so brutally so young by his family. And Kazuma's mum? give me a break, she would have been perfect as the wicked witch of the west! So you're now full of understanding? that's why you sent your son to the US without explanation, nothing? Hate, hate this trope on asian films where "all is well so let's forgive everyone regardless of what they have done"... just no! Ren's parents owe him a huge apology same as the mum. What they did affected him all his life up to adulthood and he's been asked to call them? wtf!!! And Ren saying to Kazuma's mum that they will be visiting??? what was that! if it was up to her, they would never be together. Period. Anyway, I personally did not see that much chemistry btw the leads and some times the acting was a bit too wooden for my taste. One thing I really, really liked was, at the end, how as usual the people in power want to push for the sexual harassment to be hidden and forgotten regardless of the victims, and how Ren stands up to the Pres and tells him that is not a shame to be gay nor he's going to fail all those victims. That was one of the highlights of this series in my view.
Wu bi's uncle made me so mad, but that one guard that went up to Suyu when he was sheltering from the rain to…
Exactly...I hate people using power games on other people and looking down on them. That only shows how your quality as a man is 0 in my book. And what's with that poor bird in that tiny cage! and that dog in such a short leash...in the rain!! Hateful man!
thank you, thank you, thank you.. it has ruin my image of Ja for good... he was soo good in his other roles and…
Why did you remind me of that awful fiasco...hehehe... still baffled as why they did that... at the end the only thing I was fixated on were those awful wigs!๐๐๐ The one he wore on UWMA was bad but not as bad and he had not much time on that series. I think that wigs and glass frames without glasses on are the worst props on thai series. Why, just why???
What's with Pun's flipping brother? First, he looks way older than Pun, second, with brothers like this, who needs enemies? I think that this ep has been one of the most, if not the most, cringeworthy so far, and that's saying something. Thank Goodness for the forward button is all I'm saying. To those that like this, kuddos to you, no hate ...but personally... so far this is just garbage and a total disappointment. Thai BLs are stuck in the 60s and seem unable to move on except on very few but great occasions (Love in the Air, Kinnporsche, Cutie Pie...). I know is a fantasy and I watched as that without expectations to be remotely close to real life ...but sometimes these BLs are so unimaginative and repetitive, and so poorly acted, that you need a lobotomy to watch it!
Ja doesnโt fit this character at all, the acting is soo cringe ๐ฌ. They should have casted someone else. Itโs…
thank you, thank you, thank you.. it has ruin my image of Ja for good... he was soo good in his other roles and then to watch it here acting like you said, as a 5 year old on steroids is just plain ridiculous. Awful acting or maybe he's forced to look like an absolute moron by the direction...? whatever it is, it's just puts me off to continue watching this garbage. When First says, you are like my younger brother, I thought he nailed it! If the series intent is to get these two into a couple, they are going the wrrooooong way. It defo looks like old brother, younger brother and any sexy scenes are just cringeworthy. Calling Ming daddy is just creepy, here again, he acts like a little boy towards an older one and it feels kind of wrong. First continues being as good as ever, his role as a suave and sensual actor fits him like a glove.
Well, this is not a masterpiece but it's watchable. It has aged a bit, what's with those wigs, hehehe, but still not bad. Still quite entertaining if you have nothing else to watch. Seen worst stuff done this year and not even half as original and imaginative as this one. Always sad to see a young Haruma, so handsome and talented. What a waste.
I've just checked KissAsian website and here while the subs are still complete rubbish, the desynchronization appears to have disappeared (saw the ep in Billibilli as I could not in iQiyi for ref)
This is not a new version of Addicted in any way, shape or form. I am one of those that never wanted for a chinese production company to buy the rights of the story as I knew it was never going to be even close of what that series was.... and I was right. However... I have to say that even though initially was watching just to see how right I was in my predictions, later I've been watching this as something independent of that great original. Once I watched without prejudice and without great expectations, I have to admit that I'm really enjoying this. I have to agree with lots of people in this forum mentioning about the acting. Compared to some thai or viet productions, this is way above them. The story also, is very engaging and you feel for these guys. Not sure about those that say that the voting is being sabotaged (?) got no idea, but I do recommend watching it before making any decisions regarding its value. It's a good production with good actors, very nice OST (apart from that child singing which I truly dislike) and good story if albeit taken a bit to the extreme. Still, to me is truly worth it and even though I know is not a BL, a good bromance will also be appreciated. Will wait until the end to rate but so far from me is close to 9 stars and I very seldom give that high rating. WATCH WITHOUT PREJUDICE THEN VOTE!
This was a really cute short story. I don't think that's worst to a lot stuff coming up nowadays and perfectly watchable as is. Has lovable characters, great visuals and an original story. However, it has to be said it could have been a very, very cute BL if it wasn't made in China. Add few kisses and holding hands scene and nice background music and hey presto, we have a BL! Pity of a lost opportunity here. Thanks @Lonelytranslator for the eng subs!

Thank you.... saved me from having to looking around ๐
I've just finished watching this one and I truly enjoyed it. It's good that the put a notice up front that if you're on the depressive side to not watch it as indeed it's a series of stories about suicides. I found the story original and liked all the actors. I definitely do not agree with some of the statements they make and personally, if I'm going to commit suicide and they tell me some of the things they say... I will still jump! Anyway, this is kinda light-ish fantasy that I think will affect people more for the individual stories that the overall suicide theme. The Comfort Women issue still makes me so fricking mad or the fact that rape victims are the only ones that are blamed by almost everyone around, family and friends included, still today. This is something I never understood and still I don't understand. To be honest, what really makes me like this one so much is the fact that all the ass****** get their comeuppance at the end. I hate, hate, hate it... when absolute garbage characters get away with the bad things they have done. So I was watching this always waiting eagerly for the punishment at the end...btw, I would have hurt the cyberbullies waaaaay more but that's me. OST was a bit non-descript except a song on the end credits that I really loved. Totally recommended but be mindful of the basic theme of the series. And the fact that Lee Soo Hyuk is on it... you can still see the model swagger at times and he's just sooooo attractive with that face so out of the classical standards... sigh!
no but who would actually leave their hospitalized mother to go pick up a date
Was like, mum is sick and got no money, visit and she gave us money, then suddenly we rushing back, then we are already sitting in the swings and all has bee cleared as to why he was late, and then we are holding hands, and then.... last couple of chapters was like a collection of disjointed scenes with no connection/explanation at all. Mess. mess, mess...
It had just few moments here and there but the editing was truly appalling and scenes with no connexion keep appearing left and right... awful, awful mess that leaves you confused and dizzy lol! This new Korean BLs trend of 8 eps of 12 mins each is an absolute disaster for any story. You can have 8 eps if you want but of at least 45-50 mins each to make any sense! Anyway, one to totally forget
I do hope the next eps also clear who's in love with who, 'cos at this point I'm not sure if Simeon was in love with LJ or Hyun Jae? or just with LJ? and Hyun Jae, was always in love with LJ? if so why still not saying anything? and now Simeon is just in love with LJ or he's trying to make Hyun Jae jealous?
