choi jun hyuk? not sure but he is not famous here rn. also he had some incidents (he was in fight at hostess bar here and he was not in many melodrama series to begin with, he is preferred as detective or soldier role too, he might do action fantasy I think. he was in netflix scifi series i guess) so i dont think shk will pair up with him. even if he does melo he will pair up with much less famous actress in a lower budget drama

i agree with you but i think it is some trend here now tho.. also they always make webtoon/ webnovel based drama/movies now so they cast more flower looking young boys (web series have 99% 2030 fanbase so almost every characters are in 20s) too. too bad kdrama is now in a dark days, no more 4050 adult romance if you know what i mean. people dont die then like wth! personally i like lee jun hyunk a lot so I wish he would be in melo drama too.. ðŸ˜

it's not me, just saying it is trend, lady calm down 😂 not sure why you look so furious for no reason. MELO DRAMA IN KOREA are focused on 20s(in most 30s) love story, (even if it is starred by shk it will be 30s love story like boyfriend, highly likely, if it is melo drama) hence they cast young actors. ji chang wook is famous but he is one of the few who made it, there are actors in their 20s who are more popular and that is just the way it is. alsi wi ha joon is popular worldwide but not a list favored melodrama popular in korea, he is more favored as detective, military look if u know what I mean. whatever you global fans think, korean drama cast according to korean peoples standards. it is freaking KDRAMA. they just prefer pretty men like bbg, sjk, skj, song gang, rowoon, hmh, and cha eun woo, kim young dae. whatever you think or say doesnt really change the fact or beauty standard here 😂
and i agree shk doesnt really need any popular actor by her side, but there is list and a grade among kdrama world like everywhere else. (drama goes to s+list> s list > a list etc) ofc everyone prefers famous actor. the only matter is if the price is affordable. and im not saying they WOULD cast famous actor as shk's partner, they would just cast younger and cheaper one. male actors get paid A LOT MORE than actresses here, B list actor >= s list actress. so no wonder they cant afford 30 + famous actor as shk's partner. the writer they hired is SUPER expensive already. i doubt they have the budget to cast someone in their 30s who is famous, so they go for safe and cheaper choice. (young and famous actor here who have huge fan base). same thing happened with bbg and jky.
