im korean and thats because 1.manly men are not famous or preffered style here and actors in 20s cant pull that look here 2.male actors in 30s (that shk should be casted with) are not that famous or preferred. simply not many actors in 30s are famous 😭 good looking famous ones are either over 40 or in their 20s. 3.since shk is such a big star, you HAVE To a.either cast an actor to match her grade or b.cast someone with lower fee to cover her cost. A is preferrable, but not every production can cover that. hence many go for b route and younger actors are cheaper. also, in korea there are almost no love story drama/movies about someone in late 30s or 40s.. and these days most of them are webtoon or webnovel based, so they cast young looking actress and change there setting age 😂 ridiculous, I know, this society (esp korea) should get used to people getting old, esp women. they are allergic to it or sth
