I was anticipating this series since it was announced for the 2022 line up last year, and I'm not disappointed at all. This series has a different vibe, and the cinematography is really good. PondPhuwin's growth as an actor is really evident and I'm very happy for them.
The variation from FUTS to Never Let Me Go is so great, I'm already invested in the series. It has me captivated and I'm so excited about the next episodes and see how the story progresses. Sure enough we know a jist of the plot by the trailer but the series looks so promising.
I'm so impressed by the fleeting moments between Palm and Diao, it's just right for the 1st ep. I wish PondPhuwin luck for this series! They need to be recognised and get all the love they deserve.
FUTS was a good watch and somehow it had acquired a small place in my heart. That series was a really good University plot for me. This series is a totally different and new genre and so far I'm excited to see what it has to offer.
I JUST SAW THE TRAILER AND??? omg i have high hopes๐๐
I've literally been a huge fan of PondPhuwin since Fish Upon the Sky, that show was underated big time (i mean yea it was another university based but it was one of the better ones in my opinion). I've been waiting for a year and i hope this does series does well! it looks promising and and!! PerthChimon? I saw they had their projects lined up for 2023 but i had no idea they were paired in this too (maybe I missed something?) BUT!! Gosh I'm so excited for them. How am I supposed to wait till 13th dec. ๐
I am rooting for PondPhuwin and i really Really hope this series will give them the recognition and love they deserve!
By far, for me the last episode was the best in the series. I felt that the actors did better as the episodes progressed. The overall plot is not the worst at all, it's pretty decent and the production was also good, maybe it got a bit confusing and illogical but this series has somehow impressed me. Maybe it's MosBank or anything else, i don't know.
I would be totally lying if i say I'm NOT curious about the whole season 2 thing. because - BECAUSE?? Season 2?? where did that even come from? ๐๐
I really hope with the season 2, they can improve in the areas they were lacking in, because the acting was average at first and it has gotten better by the last episode. Also they did put together a plot - those parts (like the skateboard, lavender and other things) yea that was really nice, i hope they get more creative and can put together a better plot for the next season. I'll be rooting for MosBankโค๏ธ
For me, the finale episode was so good. I was not sure about it at first because i thought they would stuff all of Sky's backstory into the last episode, and it would seem rushed, as the before episodes had his nightmares and snipnets of his truama but they really scripted it well. I have said it before but really, Fort's acting hits my heart. i absolutely love the way he portrays his emotions.
During the entire episode i was on edge, gosh it was something. I'm happy for all the cast, production, crew, for they could successfully complete the series.
i personally loved Sky and Prapai's story, but Rain and Payu also did an amazing job.
UWMA was one of the best dramas of its time, no doubt, and it's fandom has waited long enough for WinTeam's story. I'm so happy to see BounPrem as Win and Team again!
I'm so excited for this, have been waiting for 2 years now. To see Team's and Win's backstories, because UWMA portrayed a lighter version of their characters, and Between Us holds a deeper version of each character.
Wow, that was quite an episode. That whole conversation between Mangkorn and Yai was actually what I really wanted to see, instead of Yai just running away like in the novel. Now i think there is some kind of plot.
Also Nine being interested in Yai is actually a good way to add to the plot i think. I actually felt that it would be the same in the novel too while reading but Nine just kinda disappeared after 2-3 appeareance (in the novel)
I really like the chemistry between Mos and Bank, they really have so much potential.
i just came here to say, Fort and Peat SERVED today's episode. Prapai tearing up in the break up scene was so good, gosh it was so natural. Fort's acting is phenomenal, he has such a vast range.
Then where is the smut in the series? We are waiting ๐Also it's my opinion that a drama should stand alone…
we will be waiting for the smut i guess๐
True, I'm going to see the series to see how they change the storyline. So far, it was fine, some fillers were good, some were meh, but let's see the next episodes ๐
I will agree with the comments to some extent, not going to lie. BUT THIS IS HOW THE NOVEL IS TOO. Yeah the novel is a porn with plot, but there is little to no plot in the material off which the series is based. Still they tried to fill up the 40-min runtime, could have tried harded true, but it is what it is. And i think it's still good.
As for the viewers, um the plot will be confusing if they don't know about the novel. In my opinion they novel is uh, just smut, with some plot. There is no much of backstory on any character.
Okay, today's episode was um, i have different feelings. First, I absolutely loved Bank's acting...his acting and emotions are so much better than the previous episodes. I'd like to talk about how the series could have a bit better plot to fill up all those porn in the actual novel. Skateboard park scene was good. I really liked it but yea the kiss/peck seemed a bit awkward (too long, different cuts). Hong and Mangkorn's scene was good too. Felt natural to me.
Yai's character has depth in the series (so much different from the novel where he's mostly giving in to Magkorn most of the time). I'd like to see Yai's story in the series because it'll have more than it did in the novel. Bank's expressions are so unique to me, his eyes are so expressive, i actually love his acting and how he portrays Yai's character.
I'm so mad at how the episode ended though๐๐ The novel had a transition for Mangkorn's character from him being an absolute a-hole to him being sincere and loving, but i must say, the series isn't doing a great job at it (unless they have a logical plot for whatever Mangkorn was doing at the end(i don't think they have but, yea)). This makes his character unlikeable to the viewers because its confusing (to those who don't know about the novel/plot). Him giving obvious signs of wanting to be around Yai and then the kiss at the skateboard park. In the series it seems more natural for Yai to start liking him/have some sort of feeling. Maybe he did it out of spite because he saw Yai at the party(?) and went "ykw lemme have some fun too". I mean they did talk about meeting on the Friday. Correct me if I'm wrong though
I really think if the actors had a better plot to work with they would shine. They have potential no doubt. I'm going to see the series for how they change the plot from the novel. The series is watchable and not bad.... thought it'd seem confusing/illogical but that's because the novel is like that too.
Otherwise the cinematography is great, ost is good too, the plot- well it's based on a novel(porn with plot which gets a bit fictional at the end) so it'll have to be it.
Considering how the novel mainly has porn for half of it, the series has to show some sort of communication between the ml and mc and that's happening from 3 ep. I feel it's on par with the novel since it has only 32 chapters(?) and the series has 8 eps.
As far as logic is considered, um, let's just put that away if i really wanted to see this to the end. The novel is like that too. The novel has absolutely no communication between Yai and Mangkorn for maybe first 10-15 or more chapters. They are brickring most of the time when they are not in bed. They do have sweet moments but that's that.
In this aspect, the series is doing a good job to show exactly how their relation goes from enemies blackmailing each other to "only here for sex"(as in the novel) to something more serious. And if viewers don't understand why they suddenly went from fighting to calmly looking at the stars in the sky with each other, you'll have to read the novel because then it would seem more, um...okay for them to be close. (I feel like if they didn't show it, the series would have more episodes than it already has)
Next episode marks half of the series and it would be fair to say it's an average watch. Then comes the engagement misunderstanding that Mangkorn does not say Yai anything about. And that would fit next few episodes. I personally think the filler scene by Park and Pong are important to reach the 40 min run time, (there really isn't much plot to begin with in the novel, it's a porn with plot). Moreover i don't necessarily find the bodyguards-cum-babysitters appeareance in the series unwanted. They are present for the comedy and they are delivering well.
I really liked Yai's and Mangkorn's interactions now that the series is progressing. MosBank's chemistry is unique and their interactions and really cute(from thier vlogs).
Okay, EP 2 gave me a good laugh, I felt the acting was slightly better (?) not great but i saw many different expressions and so far i don't find it bad.
Yai's character is kinda impulsive, and i feel Bank's acting somehow fits it...ep 2 was better than ep 1. I was kinda expecting Yai and Mangkorn to be at each other's necks but then that would seem too childish and I'm quite liking the plot so far...
Ep 9 was really something! Sky and Prapai's story really feels interesting. 1-7 eps, it was fluff, cute with serious situations but ep 8 starts cute but ep 9 really makes me think about how much Sky has suffered. His character was seen as someone kind, helpful, happy and sarcastic but now that we see hints of his backstory, it hurts more. He is keeping so much inside and he need someone to lean on, to care for him. Looking forward for next episode!
What a load of hooey. You should be able to watch one episode and know if a show sucks or not and a lot of people…
gosh...I'm just one of the viewers who will watch further. True if it gets worse I too will drop it. it is not about me knowing or not knowing how the show will do. I don't think the very first episode justifies the entire plot. I really liked the trailer so i am really hoping it gets better. If it doesn't, well as audience i will have right to criticize it.
I was just stating my opinion on this website. Feels like i can't do it without being judged by others.
If you did not find my opinion of any worth, you could have just scrolled on.
Just watched the first episode and it was good! I see many people giving their opinions and I respect that, but this series sure has potential. I mean, yes the acting isn't "amazing" but I'm sure it's not extremely cringey either (like some other, I'd not mention them here). I think this deserves a chance. I've been waiting for this one since the first trailer was released and now seeing it, it has not let me down. The acting is fairly good and not awkward. Scenes don't feel long and it's not boring.
Newer concepts are seen in Thai BL and while some are great, others are just- yeah. Unless we see atleast half the series, i don't think we should totally turn it down and outright say it not good.
I know that when a really good series comes out and becomes popular, people tend to raise their watching standard and expectations are more. Totally agreed. As a viewer it's true for all. But if we compared newer content to the "level", and it fails to reach, many are quick to drop it. Again it's totally your wish to watch or not. But then this happens and content that actually are worth seeing are somehow suppressed and cannot gain popularity.
I seriously think people should give it a chance. I'm here for the plot and the trailer really caught my attention. After first episode, i can see there is depth to it. I'm rooting for this one.
Again, new viewers, please don't be swayed by the comments, know what the series is about and give it a chance. ๐
