Alright, now that the drama is over, can we talk about what went wrong here?I won’t lie — this was a drama…
Your last paragraph made me curious so I looked at heo namjun profile. He isn’t too newbie, 93-born and 2019-debut with some supporting and main role. But agree he doesn’t reflect his experience at all in this drama

I honestly have a hard time watching c-dramas. They have too many episodes, the acting is not that great and cringy,…
Same, I started watching cdrama around 2017 and liked few chinese actors, who to my disappointment doesn’t really improve..

I start coming back to kdrama in 2022 and there are so many new talented young actors. I really liked seeing the progress of someone in their acting craft

Yepp majority are dubbed, international people might not pay much attention because they’re busy reading subtitles.

There a re a lot of criticism surrounding chinese actors especially when it comes to different dialect dubbing. Because if you don’t even put effort to learn the basic character setting, are you really actor? There was even a famous case where actor would just say 12345 and then got dubbed. Well now it’s not so extreme though

I like cdrama and usually those popular ones are called idol drama in china, so basically you have mediocre but popular actor starring in it

The cdrama that’s filled with senior actors are usually better! But when it comes to younger gen actors, korean really has it better. Just comparing their eagerness to learn, in china they rely on dubbing while korean actor need to learn the dialects and if it’s historical drama they need to learn proper tone for it.

I still like both Kdramas and Cdramas. I think Kdramas often have innovative or different storylines, shorter…
It’s because jdrama rarely has good budget because they gatekeep everything instead of trying to reach global audiences. So unless it’s produced by netflix or warnerbros, it’s gonna look cheap as hell

Of course there are still gem if you look for it, but it’s getting tiring now to look for drama illegally. I usually just look at what’s available on streaming platform. Btw my last jdrama shoujiki fudousan was quite good!

Same for Kim Jeong Hyun.
Yeah I’m surprised he isn’t at least the third billing here

I see many people watching those vertical dramas that they only give me ragebate, and they got annoyed with this…
It’s the level of expectation, those short drama only last 2 hour in entire, while kdrama like this has more than 10 hours that air through weeks

Not to mention the kdrama actors have previous show credential that creates expectation, the writer, the director too have previous successful works.

Although personally I just have high expectations for double female lead drama, but this was another fail, stop pitting two girls to fight for a guy!

I'm sorry, but from the outset, the character of JP (Heon Nam Jun) literally doesn't fit into this kind of drama.…
Same thought! His character isn’t well-written in the first place, but added with the actor not having the supposed charisma to pull those two girl, made it hard to believe this plot can work

Lol it’s those situation where someone win just because they’re main character
And so we sighed at yet another failed double female lead drama, they should stop pitting two women to fight for a man.

And funnily in my local drama community we are unanimous that the guy jaepil they’re fighting for isn’t worth it

You are so right, what’s supposed to be empowering friendship story just became regular story about two girl becoming enemies because of men. I’ll need to avoid this writer works in the future

Are we still crying over the whole “main lead vs. second lead” nonsense? An actor’s job is to act — to…
The writer and director track record seems good, but the synopsis is really… what kind of story is that even??
That said I don’t mind actor taking botched script few times if they want to try new character, the industry is struggling pumping out good content so sometimes you gotta make do if you want to expand your portfolio

Also, same I like lomon more than moon sangmin
