nobody warned me that I would be in tears a good share of the time after epi 17 when he told her he couldn't marry her. I started out thinking this just wasn't a series I could watch, there were so many epi that I just said, I'm done, I can't watch anymore, there were so many princes and so hard to keep them straight for me, I finally figured out the most important ones were 4, 8, 10, 13 and 14, slowly I worked the others in. By epi 10 I was invested. By epi 17, I didn't know if I could go to sleep without finding out was what happening next, 3AM came really late and I finally had to give up the ghost. As sad as to0 much of this is, I will certainly keep it on my "Watch again" list. I stuck it out because so many of you said it was a great story, so Thank you all.

I started watching last night, I'd already watched the Korean version and was excited to see this and the 2nd season. The majority of reviews I've seen for this is how exciting it was, how everyone loved it, but man, I'm having a tough time getting into it. I keep thinking I need to skip epi and get to the end so I can start S2, but the reviews for that are horrendous. Although the FL is beautiful, mostly I just want to tell her to shut up and sit down.

I've watched this series about 4 times so far, on my 5th right now, there is just something about it that pleases me. But....I swear the writers know how to write the most obnoxious friends in these shows. Mi Ki's friend Qing Xia is beyond obnoxious, she acts and gives advice like she's an expert in love, when honestly the girl is a train wreck when it comes to relationships with men. Wen Bo, is the sweetest guy and she walks all over him and is unhappy when he doesn't act the way she wants, but she runs hot and cold all the time. It doesn't help that his mother is pushy just like so many Asian mothers. As much as I like the character of Wen Bo, I just have to ff through their scenes because I really would like to reach through and knock her out of the screen.

thank you, as confused as I am about how they even got their marriage "booklet" with the picture of the two of them without even meeting before, I decided I'd just "go with the flow" and see where this take me. I just have to laugh about how sort of backwards some of these women are, the little sister meets the ML for less than 5 min when he keeps her from getting squished by the car and now she's obsessed and in love for years. He probably wouldn't recognize her from Eve if she appeared in front of him, but the writers are making her a little stalker girl (I guess that's how it happens). Some of it is just plain nonsense, but I like both the lead, the villians need to be run over by the car, I like Grampa, both mothers need a good smack, but I'm determined to finish it off.

I'm just watching this now and saw him pull our their marriage book with the picture of the two of them...how the heck did they take the picture if they'd never seen each other. I'm so confused, LOL.

But they did make the SML sort of a sap who came back for more and more even though it was pretty clear that the FL only saw him as a friend from the very beginning, while the SFL was one of those that could have pushed the FL under a bus and been very happy with those results.

it's always such a pleasure to see the parents when they actually want the "child" to be happy with their own decision. I did like this Mom for sure.

I didn't mind the ML as much as I did the FL...mostly I wanted to pitch her childish obnoxious butt over the balcony and down 20 floors.

I can honestly say, I was surprised by how much I liked this show.

I will never understand the writing that they always let the "evil-doer" off the hook. she almost ruined his life completely, taking away his career, his restaurant and letting people who love him take the blame and still he says all is forgiven, makes absolutely no sense to me.

I love Jerry Yan in anything he's in, so I guess I just overlook most stuff like age difference. Have you seen him in Loving, Never Forgetting, that one seems to be a more mature stage for him.

I've watched both, the Chinese and Korean version and skipped this version of it, but I think I'm going to have to re-think that. Most of the review are so positive and I do love Ethan Juan and Joe Chen separately, so this maybe just what I'm looking for right now.

oh geez, you are my people, LOL. I kept thinking can't someone push her into the pond or dose her tea with something lethal. That old hag is as toxic as they come.

I think that's my biggest problem and also being from the West. I love the two main leads, but I keep telling the ML to grow a pair when it comes to his mother, that old hag is as toxic as they come.

this is my second time watching and I guess I didn't watch diligently enough because I sure don't remember what a hag the ML's mother was. Arrogant and controlling and hypocritical. She's such a stupid old woman that she believes every lie that's told her and avoids the truth and then when she's proven wrong she never says "oh sorry". I finally had to skip episodes because it was sending my BP sky high. LOL. The writers did a great job of making her completely unlikeable. The only reason I finished this was for WC and TSY.

Thank you. this is my second time watching and honestly I don't think I paid a whole lot of attention the first time. This time is a completely different story. I never wanted to belt an old lady so much in my life. And I keep screaming at the screen "Man...grow a pair. Tell her that you are not going to take on another concubine and your wife can continue working at the embroidery shop as long as she wants. I'm with you, lets give her a smack.

honestly, just because someone has a different opinion on this than you do, does not mean that you are 100% correct and they are wrong. To bad you don't understand that. You can repeat this opinion a dozen more times, that doesn't make your opinion the absolute.
