This was actually so good and it should've ended good in Ep.10 where she was already running towards freedom. The plot after that seems to deviate from its original purpose that's why I had to drop it.
Don't get me wrong, the storyline was told in an intriguing way that most short drama of this kind fails to deliver. Yet I am here questioning the FL/character's search for "freedom". She became too obsessed with it and became a prisoner of that obsession, hurting the people who care about her the most. My question is, what makes her so sure that when she leaves the city, she will have a better life? She isn't good at fighting so one wrong encounter and she will be sold again as a slave.
(Maybe I'll be back and finish it just for Deng Kai and the romance lol)

LOL Agree! I've watched the actress in 3 dramas (this is the 3rd one) and she always portrays pathetic character. I only watched this because of Alf Yang.
Though there's one I like where she's a village girl and more straightforward and not really a pushover.

I really dislike love triangles, and this is not even actually a "love" triangle, but added just to stir more annoyance that's why I hated it more.

Dropped it. I came here for Leo but sadly I am already annoyed how stupid the characters are by Ep7. If they show stupidity of characters this early on, I wonder how many more mistakes I have to put up on the coming episodes. I expect assassins to be meticulous and make sure the job's done. One simple "mission" and they messed up big time. So what's the point of those big talks before that?
Anyway, the FL and ML are both badass. I just don't like how the storyline is going that's why I'm giving it up

My first time watching him as the ML and I was surprised how good his acting is. The storyline isn't really my liking but the leads really did a good job portraying their roles.

Absolutely agree! I don't usually watch MengNa dramas but this storyline is so different it matches her temperament. The plot, execution and pacing was so well-done. And that white hair was really beautiful. Though I prefer the intro hairstyle (down) because it gives off more of the mysterious vibe, but nevertheless, she was gorgeous with it. I wish she wore it til the end too.
