On Love the Way You Are Jun 5, 2024
I'm nearing the end of the series and I most say, this is the softest, warmest, melodrama I've ever seen. If you watch this, and then watch Something in the Rain, you'd understand what I mean. I think this show leaned a lot more on comedy and gentler conflict resolutions compared to the more realistic and brutal resolutions in Something in the Rain. I think this series Love the way you are, will be one of my favorite Cdrama series. Next to Hidden Love, Intense Love, and a couple of others.
Finished the series and totally loved it's green flag status. The final episode seems to have been cut short, and the last half is "special footage" of the actors talking about the characters they played.

My understanding is this [almost matches my Real life]. Female lead's mom passed away. Male lead's father passed…
I find the whole age gap thing interesting, as in western dramas it's not that big of a deal, unlike Asian dramas. I also find the use of auntie, uncle, brother, sister as titles of respect to societal position based on age vs actual family.

I'm currently watching this and had no idea it was based on Something in the Rain. I see some similarities, but so far, this version isn't as "abusive" as Something in the rain [currently on ep 14]. Something in the rain was a huge downer for me because of all the sexual abuse in the workplace and the over bearing parents. So far, this series has avoided that.

WHY THE ABSOLUTE HELL DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE THE LEADS STEP SIBLINGS, LIKE WHAT WENT THROUGH DIRECTORS MIND WHILE…
My understanding is this [almost matches my Real life]. Female lead's mom passed away. Male lead's father passed away. So her father married his mother, making them step siblings. He was going to school over seas, hence why the lack of knowing who each other was when they first met. In my situation, my father had a girlfriend who had a daughter that was a year younger than me. I and the daughter has a slight interest in each other, but it never developed into anything. A few years later, my father married another woman, and I ended up with step-brothers and a 14 year younger half brother than myself.

A series about a fake contract relationship that ends up in a fake marriage. As par the course, the couple does fall for each other. And in very rare form, one of the leads decides to end the "fake" turned into real relationship, because the thought is they should have a real with no fake relationship.
So the last 4 episodes were about "character" growth. And in true drama fashion we get 5 minutes of the re-united couple at the end of the series.
I enjoyed the series, yes it did have slow parts and parts where you wonder why they put that into the show.

Here we meet again and You Are my Glory. Two series that look at Chinese aerospace from different sides. I liked this series a bit more than You are my Glory, maybe because the couple doesn't really break up like they do in Glory.

Drama. Drama. Drama. Romance at the heart. Despite what I disliked in the series, I actually liked this one. They could have chopped some of the family drama and reduced the episode count. But overall, it's a decent series.

On Every Precious Moment May 29, 2024
I had issues watching this drama, and not due to the drama. I'm going through something in real life and the fact this show tries to focus on how every moment we share with someone is precious, it just hits a bit to hard to be comfortable. I chewed on the show in small bits, taking it moment by moment, because that is the plot. Every moment you share with someone could be the very last time you have together. So cherish it. I will return to this drama, but I don't know when. From what I've seen, I think the casting was great, the story was good. It just hit a bit to hard.

I'm enjoying the series so far, I've watched all released episodes to date [episode 8]. It's not Dr. Slump, but I do appreciate a light rom-com after Welcome to Samdal-ri and Queen of Tears.

On Step by Step Love May 26, 2024
Some will not like this series, others will like it. I liked it, mainly because the chemistry between the main couple. I too, disliked relentless "sister" and the other male lead. Typical over used sub plot "We have been in each others lives for 20+ years, so why don't we fall in love?" after the other person gets a love interest. Seems like that is in nearly every romantic drama, no matter the nationality of it. This series is fluffy as the relationship grows, but it does have it's angsty moments as well.

On My Secret Romance May 20, 2024
I thought it ok, but could have been executed better. I have a half bother that is 13-15 years younger than me. I don't really know him, but I've never been embarrassed about it. Which is why that part of the sub plot was a bit off putting to me. Another thing I disliked was the heavy use of flashbacks, seemed like they were used to expand the run of the series. But overall, I did like watching the relationship grow between the leads.

Granted the series presents nothing new to the Contract Marriage plot. But the fact that there isn't a whole lot of filler, and the story unfolds in 10 eps is a plus. I enjoyed the chemistry between the leads and the Negi the dog was the scene stealer. I think this is the first series I've seen that used Marriage planning as a Background.

ahhh idk if I should watch it, the comments are confusing me lol
It's the typical Contract marriage plot with a slight twist. Nothing unexpected occurs, but it's interesting to watch the story unfold the way it does.

Why did they break up?
She divorced him, because she felt like he couldn't be his true self around her. She flew to the states to meet him, and he was smiling and happy with his lab buddies. His face had expressions she never seen it had. Basically they both lacked communication and expression of their emotions to each other.

Title Have a Crush on You Spoiler
Started off loving this series. Then around episode 8 or so I googled it to see what the reviews said. The reason being is that they kept introducing new plot elements.
I think the cast did what they could do with what they were given. If you enjoy soap opera with outlandish plot elements, then you might enjoy this series. The ending is a happy ending, but the way they got there....
