Had a feeling this was based off a webtoon. Only manhwa authors will come up with outlandish plot idea like this lol.
I feel like they shouldnt make it too obvious that the 'virgin' teacher might have something to do with all that is happening. If she turns out to be the main antagonist, im gonna be disappointed since they didnt really bother hiding it. This is the type of story you want the viewers guessing.
It was short but sweet. The manga doesnt cover these events, they kinda just started the sequel manga with the main characters already married with a kid. So this movie is live-action original. I think some viewers forget that the manga is a shounen manga, targeted towards male teenagers and young adults. It's not really a straight up romance manga, but also a slife-of-life comedy. The male lead being dense and "not knowing about love" is kinda like the default setting and the movie just reflected this lol. That said, I do feel like the young version of them had more chemistry. Maybe because they were played by actual kids that the cute awkwardness were natural.
Bruh, I thought Wei Liang already avoided the death flag. When he said "When I come back from this war, I will ask your mother for your hand in marriage" I was like, oh shiii, this is not anime bro, raising the death flag shouldnt apply here. Welp, surprise, he did die.
It seems they left enough unresolved plot for a second season with Seuno being the main antagonist. Which is why the ending felt inconclusive. Instead of ending with a bang, we got a fizzle.
Lol the last cdrama mini series I watched was Love on the edge of divorce with the same male lead. He was also in another drama I've watched recently called Go back lover and was playing as a goofy best friend. From serious to goofy to serious again, Im getting whiplash from his characters.
Cdramas really perfected the high school coming-of-age stories. Every time I watch something like this, at first it's boring, then after 10 episodes I get invested. The conflicts gets resolved quickly so the story doesnt felt draggy. And for a highschool romance, the love web in this dramas was both complicated and hilarious.
Im not sure why Qiqi is listed as a main character, it felt like she had less screen time compared to some of the supporting characters. Song Cong had two heartbreaks in one series, feels bad for him. But at least it seems his relationship with Du Man was hinted.
This drama kinda ended in a fizzle, I wanted a more conclusive ending like in "When I fly towards you" but overall, it was a fun lighthearted drama.
No hate to the actors but the acting in these viva shows are kind of horrible to say the least! I am not really…
That's because they often get actors and actresses new to the industry. The Viva talent agency mostly consists of newbie actors. Most of the actors in this drama are either first timers or inexperienced. Experienced actors in the Philippines prefer doing movies or long running series. This 16 episode (more or less) format is still quite new in the philippine drama industry so production companies are still experimenting how to make it profitable. These 16 ep dramas are not aired on TV unlike cdramas and kdramas. My guess is, it's very expensive to hire popular actors for these kinds of dramas.
That said, maybe because they are playing as highschoolers, the awkwardness of some of the cast weirdly fits the theme lol.
The pacing of this drama is horrible. But Im still gonna watch because the premise is interesting. But I hope when we get into the good bits soon (if there's any) because right now, I've been pressing fast-forward too many times.
when did the rating get this low??? I thought it was rated at like 8.5-8.8???? was it because of the mistranslation…
Aside from the last episode being kinda mid, a short scene about a reporter talking about palestine and israel (different name in drama) enraged some viewers. They hated it so much, they made multiple dummy accounts to leave a 1 star rating. This kind of rating manipulation is a problem in sites like this, even myanimelist.
Please tell me there's no kissing in this drama, it's gonna be terribly weird if there is 🙈 But seriously the…
This was why I dropped this. It was a little weird, felt a little too close to grooming. I've seen this kind of story progression in other drama, even in anime and webtoons, and it never felt right to me.
So far I do get why people say this drama is boring. It's lacking the "hook" that makes you want to know what happens next even though I usually eat up these second chance romance trope dramas. That said, it's not that bad, at least I dont feel like dropping it yet. It's like a slice-of-life romance drama.
Im only at episode 9 but what I dont understand is why does the staff dont like the 2nd couple talking a lot and bickering with each other. Like bruh, that's the spice you are looking for in a reality show. These writers dont know anything.
Who is the ml’s dad? They mention that he was a genius ?
Slight spoiler: His father is a famous doctor. He is a genius which was already implied in episode 6 and the reason for Ga Min's obsession on being good at studying.
This drama is objectively bad and cringy but weirdly entertaining XD. The scenes are over-the-top like most short cdrama series. And they sure like kiss scenes because this drama is like 10-15 min per episode but they never forget to add kiss scenes XD
Im only at episode 2 but as someone who dont know any of the actors, Im struggling to differentiate who's who. Is there a main couple in the drama? or they are given equal screen time?
I feel like they shouldnt make it too obvious that the 'virgin' teacher might have something to do with all that is happening. If she turns out to be the main antagonist, im gonna be disappointed since they didnt really bother hiding it. This is the type of story you want the viewers guessing.
