It is...there are political activists here in the comments who hate the drama because of religious and political reasons..but it was really worth watching. It has that wattpad feel to it
IU was a very famous idol before she entered acting industry...so, she had a lot of leverage over actors who had to work their way up and accept scripts for exposure. She could afford to be picky. I think wang xing Yue has been selecting great scripts since such a young age... I am impressed by that. Bailu also deserves the spot considering how often cdrama actors work compared to kdrama actors who churn out work after long breaks.
I actually agree ...this is the third time he has taken an AMAZING SCRIPT and refused to portray the physical…
Yeah...And I like him...but he needs to stop doing 40 episodes with LOVE in the title and no physical affection. If you have watched the double, the episodes were less and there was fire despite lack of skinship. But then, idk if he can pull off Duke Su like that...there's no "I want you. You're mine" in his eyes. His eyes say "i will tolerate your advances because i like you" ...at most.
Ren Jia Lun.....I really don't get why he keeps doing romance drama when he failed to deliver in certain aspects…
I actually agree ...this is the third time he has taken an AMAZING SCRIPT and refused to portray the physical affection on the screen. High voltage rivalry also needs some spice. Someone recommended this drama to me and told me that they have good chemistry. I FEEL STARVED OF AFFECTION everytime I see this man doing romance genre .... This is not how chemistry works.
THE ENDING RUINED THE DRAMA....All that suffering...and so many people sacrificed for the ML to live and win. He died in the end. ALLEN REN SHOULD STOP DOING ✋️ ROMANCES WITH GOOD SCRIPTS because I always feel deeply unsatisfied by his unwillingness to do more love scenes. In this drama, because of enemies to lovers trope...there was supposed to be intense chemistry. He did well with the dialogues but completely with the lack of physical affection. Let's be real, there's numerous actors who would be willing to perform in both ways
he is also a zionist, homophobic and a transphobic
You seem like another religious person...who doesn't have the brains to analyze that I am not taking his side. You're a political activist of some dumn religious cause. Aren't you?
Now I know why the number 1 actor in this list is getting work again and again...even though to me, he gets outshined by all supporting male cast...They end up looking like stars because of great acting and even though he is pretty, he disappears in the background in his own drama...at least for me
OMG...Aaaaaa....It has Liang Yong Qi. Will he be playing the villain or a positive character? HONESTLY, he can play both but I want him in a unique role here ❣️❣️❣️
I love reading overly defensive explanations that make very little sense. 😌 Its fine to not cast a single non korean actor. However, lazily writing✍️ shallow characters by reinforcing the most backward korean stereotypes because they wish to desperately tap into the new markets...is laughable. Maybe they should stop trying to be American s or accept the criticism that Americans rightly got when they did BS like that. As simple as that
