She is actually a decent actress but she has a tendency to overact. Anyone who is too much into loud acting romantic shows can tolerate that but those who have seen cinema of all kinds find it to be intolerable. I cannot get to like her voice at all for some reason even though I have tried hard to do so...because her voice is unique. There are other actresses whom I absolutely love for their similarly deeo voices. She fairs well in very serious roles....but pretty much always overacts
The typical case where a FL gets reduced to nothing by having her make questionable decisions & end up in situations…
I completely agree with so much focus on boring cases. The FL is actually clever for her age and I don't mind her getting saved by the prince... I do enjoy classic romances as long as its well written. However, it wasn't developed well. I absolutely don't mind mushy romances...I am quite shamelss about that but even the romantic scenes were half heartedly shown. The ending was also weirdly written. I personally hate the dubbing they do in chinese dramas. Dialogue delivery is half of the acting talent after all.
The most attractive part of the show was the Prince (the older prince) played by Wen Ying. He has more personality than the ML. Would have to guve credit to the actor as well. He jusg steals the show no matter how small his screentime is.
Criminally underrated. Steals all limelight from famous "flower boy" actors whenever he appears on screen. Painfully underutilized and DESERVES A HIGH PRODUCTION WELL WRITTEN DRAMA AS A MALE LEAD. He would kill in a historical fantasy. Suited to be a God
Are you talking about a 2021 drama??? Bruh! Besides, I am an international viewer...watching kdramas since 10 years now. We don't track the first episode ratings generally unless someone is wayy too obsessed. The buzz only reaches if the genre is either romantic or the drama is so extraordinary that it has also managed to pull the male audience instead instead of the targeted female audience. THIS IS A BAD STORY. Its boring! But the genre is what has saved it compared to the other one. I have seen the most average kdramas do well because of the "romance" genre. For other genres, a lot of people do not prefer kdramas. THE BAR IS LOW FOR THE GENRE Of romantic kdramas. That's true for me too. Kdramas are a "guilty pleasure" for me. My standards for other genres is not met by korean dramas...maybe few korean films are okay but the dramas do not meet the standards of "quality cinema".
Jirisan? What is that. I have never heard of it so clearly, the marketing is not even near to this heavily marketed drama...secondly, is it a romance? More than 90% of kdrama audience is romance loving females. Does it cater to that?
This is type of success WHICH IS NOT GENUINE...because it is riding on the popularity of their previous work. This drama is nothing but a mess...extremely disappointing
I want to give this reviewer a benefit of the doubt...that she/he is a young child writing the review. At that age, I surely thought people past 30 were ancient. "Charm factor" lmao! Because charm and romance is a young person's thing of course...How dare these ancient people show complexity, nuance romance on screen. WHERE'S MY FLOWER BOY?
Please dont drag other dramas here. Everyone has different opinions.
Its really not about dragging. This is where I come to check my drama list. Objectively, I wouldn't put a high rating on that one. I simply wish to understand why it is rated more. Is it because of more reach or high production quality. I see that with a lot of other great chinese dramas as well. I get that some people fight over dramas because they are fans but I am personally a fan of nobody. So, kindly see my comment as A GENUINE OUTBURST OF SURPRISE AND CURIOSITY
I think i need to start going into future dramas with no expectations or just lower my expectations, because i…
I get what you mean. A lot of women hated the old school one dimensional male leads and some writers just gave that exact personality to the FLs in many dramas. Its not like women are attractive with little to no emotional range. Lmao! This drama truly honors wuxia.
oh, I am waiting for more episodes to be screened as I couldn't stand it to have just 1-2 episodes each day, its…
Ikr...I was watching some kdrama and I thought I should give this random drama a chance. Now that kdrama belongs to the trash as I desperately wait for new episodes of this one
This drama is so darn good. I don't mind the slow burn as far as romance is considered because there is so much MORE TO THESE CHARACTERS. I absolutely adore both of them
