Epic doesn’t even begin to cover it. LOTFG was a whole era.
Devoured. After a year of waiting, it delivered everything betrayal, quiet love that hits like thunder, and power wrapped in softness. He Yan in the drama is everything. Fierce, ruthless, and stubborn in all the best ways. She flat out refused to hand over her military power to a weakling like He Rufei. One of the best changes from the novel. Because he yan in the novel gave up her army and married someone unworthy. But that didn't make any sense given she would die any day to protect her people as she always said. Yeah she came back for revenge but I never realized it made no sense for her to ever want to settle in the inner court. That blinding Ding Yi moment? ice-cold and iconic.Xiao Jue in the drama is next-level. He redefined devotion I said what I said. Still ruthless and sharp-tongued, but with way more heart and awkward charm like, he’s actually humanized. That mix of cold general and soft, nervous dude who secretly cares? Iconic. Would go to war for him lol. Who cares what they changed when they kept NOW THE MOON BELONGS TO YOU?
I laughed, I sobbed, I paused to breathe and I’ll never forget how it made me feel.
This one?
It was for me. Definitely for me. Ratings don’t get this story.
Trust me, this drama deserves way more love than numbers give it.
It's easy to get influenced by outside noise when watching a drama. So, to not ruin my experience I didn't visit any sites like MDL when the drama was airing. Or while watching the drama and I would suggest you the same. Watch for yourself. Drop if YOU don't like it. Watch if you like it even if the rating is literally 6.0 because the only purpose of entertainment is to make us feel. ALSO viki rating for lotfg is 9.7 so ratings are worthless.
Hope you enjoy Xiao Jue and He Yan's journey as much as I did.
