Yup, mainly because TNT's 4-day May Day concert starts May 1st (same day as episode 2). It'll be live-streamed at the same time as Running Man airs, so they don't want the two to clash, or else the viewership will be cut in half haha.

”See the Future” is said to be his graduation project, he’s graduating next year 2026. Not sure if it’ll be aired though(?), but if it’s for his graduation it might be. Heard it’s a web/short drama type of show, he finished filming 2 weeks ago. If it is going to be aired then it’ll probably be mid-late 2026

But honestly even though YHX is an idol rapper, so far all the contestants of this season have only left positive comments about him including his work ethic, sincerity, and deep understanding of rap culture and regretted having a prejudice against him because he’s a traffic/idol rapper. Even if his rapping skills aren’t as good as the other mentors, there is still the understanding and knowledge aspect of being a mentor that’s equally if not more important, since their main job is to select people.
This season has the youngest star producer lineup in the shows history which has caused a lot of discourse both positive and negative. But the whole concept of it is really great, especially since they want to connect with younger rappers of e new generation (since the show does translate to “new” rap of China.

It’s working though haha, the show recently hit around 9500 popularity index on iQIYI in China (this is the highest out of all of the seasons if I’m not mistaken and highest among recent iQIYI variety shows) and has been garnering more attention compared to the last seasons thanks to YHXs participation on the show
