7.6 now.... I don't understand why the score is getting lower, this drama is quite good and funny. There must…
People who don't like or maybe don't even watch and just want the show to have bad ratings. Some haters watched 30 minutes and said it was garbage 🤷🏼♀️ I'll vote at the end. That said I have shows I don't like I rated poorly despite being well loved. We all have different tastes. It's at 9.7 on Viki with 1,677 votes. But they're usually too lenient there lol
I personally think she acted DUMB by returning stuff to CP. If I were her, I would take the silk and the jewelry…
No one recognized the crown prince as he was walking among them and buying things on the market 😂😂 I suppose that's the assumption, it's probably highly exaggerated... But we have that in many sageuks. I still think boys were more known than girls in noble families, they studied, made trades, the girls usually were married off to other nobles and ruled the households once the mother-in-law couldn't... I'm not sure from which country you are, but here in France and Germany it was pretty much like that too
I personally think she acted DUMB by returning stuff to CP. If I were her, I would take the silk and the jewelry…
No one there knew the face of the Crown princess. Only people in the people did and Minister Lee only rose to power after Kang's mother died... Once the women of the royal family lived in the palace, no one saw them outside. Their life remained exclusively on those premises. We don't know how long they were married either, so a year at a minimum (they met in the spring and she 'died' in the winter) she might not have been very visible during that period. Once her face is in the palace from episode 4, then the real danger starts. You guys seem to be under the impression that anyone knew how the Royals looked like back then... Noble families probably did but regular people only saw official portraits.
Just how does the left minister have all that power tho? He enthroned the current king by killing the former king…
Considering how he killed all his opponents in the Gyesa year and placed his goons since then, I understand why his opponents are reluctant to oppose him. Look what just happened to the Chief Secretary who was dumb enough to work with his daughter to oppose him? The king is his puppet. If you watched Mr Queen, we're in a Cheoljong in the hands of the Kim faction situation... Which reflected the reality of what happened to that king (died young under unclear circumstances and was replaced by a teenager).
We'll agree to disagree. Kang is playing a part so while his arrogance is partially real (well he's supposed to become the next king and is already the regent as his father is "incapacitated", and that mattered in Joseon, him not being somewhat arrogant would not be credible), he's also playing into the narrative that's he is self-centered and shallow for the council's benefit (eating popcorn during sessions, leaving for the city to have fun, calling doctors for beauty treatments, harassing the taylor with his color patterns...). Again we'll see... But in every sageuk the king and/or crown prince are arrogant 😂 it's part of any trope including them
I personally think she acted DUMB by returning stuff to CP. If I were her, I would take the silk and the jewelry…
She has a huge crush on him, so yeah... It's misplaced pride. It is kind of ironic because she reacts strongly as she is jealous of his dead wife... And she actually is the dead wife 😂 it's funny and tragic at the same time
yes, end of ep4. A real doozy of a bodyswap, over the top, actually.
So the fact they were drowning at that moment doesn't qualify as immediate danger in your books? They were both unconscious after the kiss and the thread reconnecting... So no they were not conscious. They woke up the next morning. So I don't understand your comment.
Well that's Joseon where men more important than women... And he is the Crown prince, not just some regular guy. That said he genuinely loved his wife and showed his devotion (he was ready to die for her and that's why the king asked Yeon-wol to kill herself) ... He put his life on the line for Dal-i in episode 4. So I give him a hall pass for that for now. I think it's mostly the shock talking. We'll see...
OK now - WHY did the old man say they should never meet? And WHY did they get into the swap?
He said the pull between them would be too strong as severed threads want to reconnect. That said when he saw they met again (looking at the flower) he didn't look overly worried
I just realized that once they soul switch (and if they don't swap back sometimes like Secret Garden) ep 4 might…
We saw sequences in some videos where Kang is using his bow and fighting (Dal-i stands in the background), I guess he's back in his body, or Dal-i became super good at fighting 😂😂
Timeline as requested, this is based on what was explained in episode 1 and 2, and further confirmed in episode 3. King A dead king, father of Je-woon King B current king, father of Kang They are half brothers. King A is the son of Dowager Queen Han. King B is the the son of a concubine. Queen 1 mother of Je-woon first wife of King A Queen 2 mother of the young Crown prince, second wife of King A, fate unknown but likely dead Queen 3 mother of Kang, late wife of King B
There are 3 blocks of events.
The queen 1 was accused by the Dowager queen Han of adultery which caused her suicide by poison and the deposition of Je-woon as crown prince who was exiled. Kim Han-cheol already played a part there but he wasn't as high ranked. King A remarried and had another son.
Then the events of the Gyesa year happened. First the two brothers of the dowager queen Han were killed weakening her, then King A and the crown prince were poisoned during sword practice (Kim Han-cheol was in charge of preparing the swords), then the Royal Physician died during an acupuncture session. Kim Han-cheol rose to a higher power as he became Left minister (previously he was minister of war). He put the late king's half brother, King B on the throne (son of the old king by a concubine). Apparently his plan from the start was to marry his daughter to the Crown prince Kang, but 'unfortunately' he met Yeon-wol and married her. 5 years ago Han-cheol decided to frame Yeon-wol in the death of Queen 3. He forced the deposed crown princess to suicide, pushing King B to ask that of her. This left the place empty for that marriage...
We are here now. In the meantime Kang has decided to go for revenge investigating the events of the Gyesa year, but while there are hints Kim Han-cheol is behind all of that, there are no definite proof. That's why Je-woon went to Qing to find if some elements still exist
As for the timeline. We know for sure Queen 3 and Yeon-wol died 5 years ago. The death of Queen 1 happened when Je-woon was about 8-10 years so 15 to 20 years ago. The Gyesa year was around 10 years after Queen 1 death. So Queen 1 died 20 years ago. The Gyesa events happened 10 years ago. Yeon-wol died 5 years.
There are so many confusing posts about the timeline and the events. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST IT FOR ALL OF US,…
We don't have the names for all the characters... Like the queens for example or the brothers of the dowager. I can try to repost everything with letters for the characters we don't know
I have a theory. What if the sml's mother did had an affair and that was with the left minister and the sml is…
That's actually very interesting... I keep thinking the dowager being so set against Je-woon is suspicious... In sageuk they usually support their grandchildren, but then Moon River does certain things quite differently.
That said I have shows I don't like I rated poorly despite being well loved. We all have different tastes.
