This entire situation genuinely makes me so upset.Let me preface this by saying, I don't have anything against…
To be honest, the only point I want to talk on is the Gaga part. I don't have and have never had Gaga before, so I don't have much knowledge on it. As I gather from, it is a queer show streaming platform, I don't know if that has to be central to the characters or can be vaguely inferred. Anyways, I have had this show on my watchlist since 2024 and I'm not in a Gaga country, so I'm watching it either way. I truly just believe that if people feel Gaga is doing wrong by the lgbtq, they should just not watch it. I'm tired of all these fighting and insults flying around. I fear this conversation has degenerated from honest questions about what queerbait is an the place of bromance pairs in a bl dominated space to mostly name calling and bullying on both sides. I just hope 2-3 years in the future everything will have died down and maybe gmmtv will come out with an official statement with how they want to be handling the new space they are creating, and that Sky and Nani's careers and mental health doesn't take a nose dive.
Def not censorship, but 100% queerbaiting. They are clearly targeting BL fans without any intention of actually…
thanks for the attacking viewers part. Some people are trying to claim that it's only SkyNani that are being unilaterally homophobic, but do not want to acknowledge that both sides are getting out of hand. Like I've said, I want a khemjira level gmmtv production, but I don't think bringing hating on Wu and HSF is going to bring about that
Thank you so much for this comment. I fear when it comes to talks about queer representation, most things other…
I didn't say they were explicit representations of LGBTQIA++, but people can still see their selves in stuff that is not explicit. An autistic person can see their self in a character that is not explicitly neurodivergent
You guys can’t say bad on the show and the casts because the streaming platform are the one who try to get the…
Thank you so much for this comment. I fear when it comes to talks about queer representation, most things other than gay, bi or trans gets left out, especially among bl fans. In school, some people could swear I was dating my same sex best friend, even my sister. Nowadays, I honestly think I'm ace(I've not finished diving deep into that, but from what I know, it resonates). I guess people should stop this either Straight or gay mindset and remember all sorts of people exist, as well as different bonds and dynamics. While everyone can definitely have reservations and opinions, I just wish them to be kind to the actors as well as the creative team
Ive seen nc clips of this show and they look so hott, but 6.4 makes me not even wanna this show 😅 Is it that…
For me it was so cringe as well as so badly executed that I couldn't get past ep 3 or 4, not sure where I stopped. Maybe in later episodes it gets better
Can we all learn to scroll? If you see something you mostly do not like, give your peaceful opinion and scroll past. Don't hate on the actors, the filmmakers or those who truly enjoy the project. Calling people dumb, idiotic and so on for liking what you don't like won't do anything. We are allowed to have opinions and to constructively share that opinion, but you have no right to incessantly rag on people of a different opinion than you. This is not just about Wu or SkyNani, this is about every controversial discourse on the internet which could be genuinely good, but has devolved into a shit ton of nonsense - of hate, misinformed declarations and genuine cyber bullying. For example, we can truly discuss how queer baiting REALLY shows up, and why some people think shows like HSF and Wu are, while simultaneously not pointing out Peaceful Property to be so. We can also genuinely look into how gmmtv spends it's money; Not just feelings and vibes but actually look into the data they've made public. I came into Thai Media with F4, and then dove into bl which I already read alot of. I can see why some people want an enigma or Wu level production from gmmtv, as well as bls with stronger writing, but to drag the actors and the series because you don't like how expensive it is is not right. Voice your complaints by all means, but don't turn to hating to do so. Also don't drag other stuff that aren't really related into it. I've seen Love You Teacher which is a very well produced show-although it might not look as expensive-be dragged in for ONE SCENE in an otherwise beautiful series. It's already an underappreciated show, so seeing it used as a prop to aid your hate campaign is honestly sad. That said, I'm a bl fan at heart. I truly do want another Khemjira, or several bls on the level of Enigma, as well as better writing from gmmtv, but as I've said time and time again, hate won't do much good, just harm the mental wellbeing of those involved
definitely yes. it handles it's themes delicately yet lightheartedly. One minute, you're laughing till your belly hurts, the other, you can't stop crying. Plus, they make clear boundaries with the regressed part so it doesn't become weird
So after reading the book, I have stuff to say. Firstly, I loved it. No matter what criticism I give, it will always be one of the most heartfelt books I've ever read. Next, I love how HIV was handled. It wasn't an in your face "look look LOOOK" scenario, neither did they downplay it too much. It was a real driving force of the story, but we weren't told every few seconds that he has it Another thing I love is the handling of trauma and teenage / adult problems, as well as side characters. The side characters all had their arcs, dreams and drawbacks. I also love how forgiveness to an awful parent isn't just doled out like a "sorry" erases everything. One thing I did dislike was that after all that slowburn, we didn't experience the getting together in real time, just a flashback. I hope the drama is better on that part, as well as with pacing as I think the author frequently slowed down the pace, maybe to drive home points, but meh🤷♀️, who knows?
