pple really need to stop promoting this as a bl, it's bringing more hate. why do we need to label it as bl or…
I've seen tiktoks putting this as one of the BLs they are watching. I personally don't have a problem mentioning it, but people should add like a note or something,(some people do), so disappointed fans won't have more cause to say this show is marketed as bl when it's fans promoting it as such. I won't rain on anyone's parade though,if you interpret as a bl, go for it, but for uneducated lay fans, let's not mislead them and cause more hate
Shipping is different from alleging something is queerbait. Even a show without queerbaiting allegations will…
To be honest, when it comes to this conversation, I think I'd rather talk about representing and diversifying representation more members of the lgbtq+ society, not just the LGB which people are so used to. Take Fei as a character for example, I love that a transwoman is playing a serious role as a trans person. I honestly hope the story takes the time and care to go deep into her character and struggles as a transwoman, and I would appreciate that more than if NiranPete came out and confessed. A creator on tiktok made a video about bl series becoming less queer, and they talked about how queer problems weren't being addressed as much in the sea of BLs being produced today compared to a few years ago and I mostly agree. I think the people who complained about Wu would say they agree, but is it more queer to kiss your homie, or to have a prominent character struggle with their gender identity and external acceptance? Especially in a climate where people like them are seen as tools for a quick laugh and as unserious comedians.
I remember when WinnySatang broke up and some bl "fans"; thought that the best thing to do is to over run comment sections in posts about a concert celebrating queer actors in gmmtv with annoying protests. Who really doesn't care about queer people? In the end, I want representation, but I don't throw out queerbaiting allegations to series that portray relationships I wish were gay. If I want two people to be in relationship, I can ship them and write fanfics about it, that's my prerogative
This episode brought me back to the days as a young kid watching Bollywood series and watching the marriage ceremonies. I got reminded of the red cloth that is tied to each member of the couple after which they walk around the fire. Niran giving Pete his necklace was even more similar as I remembered those necklaces in the series which basically had the function of rings.
I wanna go watch rewatch a Bollywood series again, but I don't want to watch hundred plus episodes of blindness and miscommunication
There was a lot of love for HSF, but also some hate. I wasn't as active in the Thai series fandom at that time so I only really heard little about the show. What I heard was overwhelmingly positive, but there were definitely talks of it potentially being queerbaiting. As for this show in particular, people could not fathom that SkyNani were actually powerful as a pairing and were accusing them of using bl money and trying to reap the benefits of bl without acting in it. There was also the complication when Gmmtv put it on Gaga, making some people see it as "proof" SkyNani and Gmmtv were trying to cash in on BL. Boy was it a ride ๐ I'm glad most of the haters have migrated to the next evil they want to vanquish, but I'm sure they'd rear their heads again with DewTee's new series, as well as arrest and action, begin to air
PS: I genuinely hope you continue to enjoy this show as well as other SkyNani projects. For now let's enjoy our bound together (married) soulmates NiranPete๐ซ๐ซ
I'm glad you realised your mistake ๐๐๐. Honestly when you replied I couldn't tell if you were sarcastic or genuine and I was just waiting to get to a more comfortable place to reply. I'm glad you were actually just ignorant. If you scroll down far enough to when the trailer of this series dropped, it was a bloody battlefield and that word was the main arrow ๐ ๐ . It was a fight to get the haters to shut up, and they still pop up from time to time.
