My guilty pleasure finally completed

After waiting for a year since the original drama ended with an open and frustrating conclusion, finally this is the ending I had been hoping for. This special episode felt like a reward after all the emotional suffering, misunderstandings, and endless running from the male lead throughout the series.

The best part of this ending is seeing both main characters finally face their feelings and make a decision for their future. After spending so much time regretting the past and wishing they could change their mistakes, they finally understand that the most important thing is not only fixing what happened before, but also having the courage to move forward. They are able to let go of their regrets, accept their past, and start a new chapter of their lives together.

What makes this conclusion satisfying is that it does not magically solve everything. Instead, it shows that love and relationships still require effort, honesty, and courage. The characters have grown from the people they were in the beginning, and their journey finally reaches a meaningful point. After watching Ken struggle in every episode, seeing him finally become brave enough to express his feelings was incredibly satisfying.

The chemistry between Yamapi and Maa-tan remains one of the strongest elements of the story. Their natural interactions, emotional expressions, and understanding of each other's characters make the conclusion feel earned. Their relationship was never just about romance, it was about two people who needed to grow before they could truly be together. To this day, the two of them are my favorite couple.

The special also keeps the nostalgic atmosphere that made the original drama so memorable. The emotional soundtrack, familiar characters, and memories from the past create a beautiful sense of closure for fans who followed their journey from the beginning.

Overall, this is the ending that I always wanted. After a year of waiting since the original drama's cliffhanger ending, this conclusion finally delivered the happiness and satisfaction that the story deserved. Seeing the two main leads release their regrets, choose each other, and move forward toward a new life with new challenges was incredibly fulfilling.

This special completes the journey of one of my favorite J-dramas of all time. It is not only an ending about love, but also about growth, forgiveness, and the courage to create your own future.

My guilty pleasure.

I watched this drama a little late. Back in 2009, a senior of mine who was really into Japanese culture recommended this drama to me. At that time, I had absolutely no expectations and did not even know much about the story. However, somehow, I found myself continuing to watch episode after episode until I reached the ending.

Many people say that this drama can be frustrating because the story progresses very slowly, especially because the male lead keeps missing his chances. But for me, that is exactly the reason why PropoDai works so well. The story is not about a simple love story where everything is solved quickly. It is about a man who regrets losing the love of his life and is given a miracle to return to the past to fix his mistakes.

What makes this drama special is the character development of ML. At the beginning, he is someone who cannot express his feelings and always hesitates when it matters the most. Through every journey back to the past, he slowly becomes more mature, more honest with himself, and more courageous. Each episode shows a different step in his growth, and that gradual development is what makes his journey meaningful. The frustration that viewers feel is actually part of Ken's journey, because we are watching him learn how to change himself little by little. Of course, there is always that iconic scene where he runs desperately, which became one of the most memorable elements of the drama.

The OST is another unforgettable part of PropoDai. The music perfectly matches every emotional moment and has become a core memory for me. Whenever I hear the songs, I immediately remember the scenes, the atmosphere, and the feelings I had while watching the drama. The soundtrack is not just background music, it becomes part of the emotional experience and makes every important scene even more powerful.

Another special thing about this drama is the cast. The actors in PropoDai have become some of my favorite actors until today. At the time this drama was released, they were not as famous or established as they are now. Looking back, it feels amazing to see that the young actors who appeared in this series have grown into some of the biggest names in the Japanese entertainment industry. Their performances in this drama became the beginning of a long journey, and even now, I always look forward to their newest dramas and projects.

The chemistry between the cast is one of the reasons this drama remains unforgettable. The friendship, youthful atmosphere, and natural interactions between the characters captured the feeling of being young, having dreams, and experiencing first love. It feels like watching a precious memory from a time when everything was still full of possibilities.

The popularity of this drama is undeniable. Many adaptations have been made in different countries, showing how strong and universal the concept is. However, for me, this original Japanese version remains the best. The chemistry between the characters, the atmosphere of youth, and the emotional storytelling are difficult to replace.

Even now, whenever I have the chance, I still rewatch this drama.
This drama reminds me of my own love memories, the time when feelings were intense, dreams felt endless, and life was still full of excitement and possibilities. It brings back the nostalgia of youth and the emotions of a love that once felt like the most important thing in the world.

Overall, this drama is not just a romantic comedy for me, it is one of my favorite and best Japanese dramas of all time. It is a personal and nostalgic experience that stays with me because of its message about regret, courage, and appreciating the moments we have before they become memories. It reminds me that sometimes the most valuable things in life are the moments we fail to appreciate until they are gone.

This drama is my ultimate guilty pleasure. No matter how many times I watch it, it still gives me the same warm feeling, and it will always have a special place in my heart as one of the greatest J-dramas I have ever watched.

Don't skip this drama

I watched this drama around the time Atsuko Maeda was preparing for her graduation in August 2012, so it became a memorable viewing experience for me. From the very first episode, this drama managed to touch my heart, and I honestly found myself crying almost every episode.

Each story about the people who passed away and the families they left behind was deeply moving. The drama beautifully shows that every person has their own story, regrets, and unfinished feelings. It is not just a story about death, but also about love, forgiveness, family, and appreciating the precious moments we have with the people around us.

What makes this drama special is how it handles emotional themes in a warm and human way. Every episode has its own story and meaning, and many of the cases left a strong impression on me. The sadness never felt forced because the drama focuses on the memories and relationships behind each person rather than only the tragedy itself.

The performances were one of the biggest strengths of this series. ML showing the growth of a man who slowly learns about family and the importance of human connections. FL acting was also excellent, and I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two main leads. I noticed that this was their reunion after five years since Proposal Daisakusen, which gave the drama an extra nostalgic feeling. Their interactions felt natural, and their emotional scenes together were one of the highlights.

The supporting cast also delivered strong performances. Every character had their own struggles and emotions, making the story feel more realistic. The family relationships, especially the bond between the siblings, were beautifully portrayed and added even more depth to the drama.

The pacing is slower compared to many modern dramas, but I think that actually helps the emotional moments feel more meaningful. This is not a drama that depends on big twists or intense action—it succeeds because of its sincere storytelling and the way it makes viewers reflect on life.

A good romcom in early 2026

I have high expectation about this drama after know the cast and trailer. I liked the story in the first few episodes. The lead actors' performances were good, even though there was a lack of chemistry between them. The male lead's acting felt a bit stiff and awkward in certain scenes, despite him being a rising actor. Many fan service's of course if you guys like it, but the plot story deteriorated in the last few episodes. The conflict that arose could have been resolved better if the main couple had communicated effectively, and it is not clearly shown what karma SML receives after committing all those evil acts against the King.

If you’re looking for a romcom drama reminiscent from the early 2010s drama's, this might be the perfect choice. It features a female lead with a strong personality and a funny side, alongside a handsome, seemingly cold male lead who harbors a dark past. Well, this is like the type of romcom drama from ten years ago, where the story didn't need to be overly complicated or demand that the audience think too hard, and watching it simply brought a sense of warmth and happiness.

The story and the awkward acting from FL are tr@$h

FL doesnt deserve ML at all, she is worse than her stepmother, and she claimed she innocent, what a ssssslvvvvvvt. Tr@$h story, and this story can pass NF, what a joke. Cheaters are the ones who feel most victimized, and ML are so weak, he have others girl who loves him sincerely, however, he could not take firm action. Of course the ending are genius, without a proper ending or explanation, the drama simply came to an end. Waste my time, better skipped this drama if you guys want to try to watch this drama.
