Was it just me or did anybody else think that the reason DO was behaving the way he was in the flashback when…
I hope you're right. That would be an interesting plot twist but it will make AJ's character look even worse. I think the writer decided to use busy and stand-offish DO as a way to justify AJ's actions a little and buffer the backlash she'd get. I think that whoever penned this thought everyone was gonna understand why she'd left DO because he'd "neglected" her and taken her for granted (two times) and he was resposible for her insecurities. A bunch of nonsense that could make people understand the female lead's decisions.
I'm so darn pissed, too. Who the heck text that type of information? I refuse to make excuses for her character…
Yeah. I'm so angry. I've been FF so much I don't even know if I'm watching the show at all. It's become tedious and infuriating. I'll finish it because I want to see DO/HN bond and repair their relationship. I also want to see how PD/DC's plot will pan out. That's it. Those are the only thigs keeping me invested.
AJ had every right to break up with DO. Sometimes you don't even need an important reason for a break up and that's her choice, to each their own. NOW, to leave a person who was in love with her without even bothering to tell him WHY? No, I'm sorry. That's just not acceptable or forgivable. There are TWO people in a relationship and the break up has to be discussed by BOTH parties. Breaking up with someone one-sidedly and without an explanation is basically treating that person like someone who wasn't a part of your life, who didn't deserve to be acknowledged. That is a big no-no.
If that was wrong, keeping the father of your daughter in the dark about the existence of said child because you were angry with him and couldn't bother to talk to the guy about it, is just straight up insane. That's messed up and extremely selfish. There's no two ways about it.
Everything she ~suspected about him, she made up in her own mind. He was not even purposely ignoring her, he was…
xD He's known me for a long time and he's learned to deal with my workaholic side. I need space when I'm working and I'm also a perfectionist who needs to work without distractions. However, in this particular case he knew he'd been wrong because losing that paper could've cost me my job, and he was playing with it because he was bored. That's why I decided it was best to just avoid those situations altogether.
YES! The female lead is a mess. I can't find a single appealing thing about her.
Everything she ~suspected about him, she made up in her own mind. He was not even purposely ignoring her, he was…
I literally told my boyfriend after our first failed experience doing things for work together, that I didn't want to hang out with him when I had deadlines and was under pressure. He briefly lost a paper I needed for work and I almost cried out of anger. He understood and even acknowledged that he had been wrong.
Imagine if he had thought I didn't love him because I was irritable that day, and that I was totally cheating on him because he loved me more and he'd lost the power struggle in our relationship. That's absolutely insane! Now let's add him keeping an extremely vital piece of information from me out of spite. Then him telling other people that they should consider me dead because I hurt him and ~ruined his life. What a bunch of nonsense!
On another note, of course I would look for my baby daddy!! Even if it was to slap the living daylights out of him and tell him how trashy he was, I'd look for him.
What makes the whole thing even worse is that she kept the truth from him even after knowing that he didn't know about HN's existence. She kept the truth from him out of sheer spite and hurt her innocent daughter because she chose to complicate everyone's life instead of confronting DO.
But could she be the only one blamed? She was only 22 at most, cmiiw. I was insecure about everything around that…
It has to do with maturity and, no, she's not the only one to blame for the insecurity. The problem is she made the decision on her own, didn't even talk to her mother about it, or discussed it with friends (unless YW had a hand in the decision too)... NOTHING. I've always been the kind of person who looks for other points of view before making important decisions, so I can't understand her. I don't think she's evil, but her immaturity caused DO and HN 14 years of pain.
So, she told him via text message about HN and psycho RJ erased it... Why didn't she look for him and tell him in person? Text messages are completely unreliable (especially in the past) and even though he could have been nicer when he stopped her from grabbing his things (I'm irritable too and that's why I don't hang out with my friends and boyfriend when I'm working and I have a deadline. I need to be alone.), she made up a story in her mind and started thinking that she loved him more and assumed he was a cheater, didn't confront him about it... In the end DO is right, this isn't his fault. SHE had little faith in him and chose to turn her back on him because she was trying to safeguard her pride. She did this to herself and dragged HN and DO in the process. RJ and AR just gave her the little push she needed to confirm her wrong assumptions because , ultimately, she wanted to believe herself more than she wanted to believe her boyfriend.
I really want to know what kind of grave mistake Oh Dae Oh has done for him to go through all this pain. I really…
Yeah, RJ is also a stalker. I should've added that to my rant. PD gets a pass because he was genuinely worried about her.
I'm probably a different kind of friend because there's no way I'd travel all the way to a remote island to stop a friend from doing or not doing something. My friends are grown ups and I don't feel it's my place to make decisions for them. YW has already told AJ his opinion on DO and the final decision is hers to make. You can't go after a person telling them what to do for the rest of your friendship with them. You tell them once, and if they take your advice or not it's up to them. Therefore, YW running after AJ to stop her from getting back together with her ex is beyond intrusive. He keeps overstepping the boundaries and taking liberties that he should not take. She's already expressed her discomfort both verbally and physically so he should accept whatever choice she makes and mind his own business.
It also bugs me that as a teacher he has so much free time. If there's something a teacher rarely has is free time because there's always work to do. The character is just badly written and has behaved unethically since the beginning. He's putting HN's future at stake because of a whim and he's misbehaved during a PTA which is unacceptable. If the school parents get a whiff of his interest in AJ, both HN&AJ will have to deal with a scandal the size of South Korea. I bet his mother would save him and AJ&HN would have to deal with the consequences of HIS actions.
DO will be furious for a really long time and I won't blame him at all. I don't think he should forgive AJ, but I bet he will because his love for her is as strong as ever. He won't be able to move on and HN will get caught up in the middle of the storm because AJ decided that it was right to decide for them. *rolls eyes*
UGH. I hate Ryujin. I dislike him even more than I dislike YW. He's completely horrible.
I really want to know what kind of grave mistake Oh Dae Oh has done for him to go through all this pain. I really…
I'm dreading the moment he finds out. I BET he did nothing to deserve it and AJ has made his life a living hell because of her very selfish reasons. He's gonna be devastated and AJ will have to work on recovering his love and trust (DO may find it in him to forgive her, but I don't think she deserves it). I'm truly upset with the story. This is a massive mess.
YW feels entitled to question every male human being who approaches AJ. He went to the island because apparently he doesn't have anything better to do than stalking her during his free time. Jeez. He's insane.
Ryujin is a traitor. I would never forgive him if I were DO. He's proved that he's A-list trash and that he can throw away a friend without even flinching. WORST "friend" EVER.
Like I said, I love PD, but there are too many subplots and the story needs to weave them together. PD's plot is interesting, but it's not well inserted in the drama. His character looks like an observer, not a participant of the story.
Damn AJ really treats Dae Oh so badly. She truly resents him for God knows what and enjoys putting him down. This episode she gave him the hardest task because she was being extremely petty. She's simply a bully who takes advantage of her ex because she feels entitled to do so and because she can. Dae Oh should go to court, get his rights as HN's dad, and leave AJ "dead" in his memories like she did when she decided to ghost him and steal 14 years of his daughter's life for no good reason. I'm so done with her. ¬¬
AJ's reason better be extremely weighty. Dae Oh is most definitely the dad and he's lost 14 years of his daughter's life!!! I can't even think of a reason logical enough to deprive him of his daughter for 14 years. She's basically ruined his life because he won't get those years back.
Ryujin is trash. He regrets being friends with DO because of the consequences of his own decision? STUPID B*STARD. He was the coward and DO had nothing to do with his choices.
If I were AJ I would have put a restraining order on YW's obnoxious and nosy as*. When he started questioning PD I lost it. Begone, brat.
PD's plot is so out there. I really like the character but I don't feel the connection between his subplot and the rest of the story. So far it looks completely disjointed. I hope this improves because I feel his character has escaped from a different fiction and randomly landed on Was it love.
I agree. I don't ship them because I don't like her. I wouldn't forgive a person who left without explanations…
Honestly, every time Dae Oh asks her to tell him why she left him and she refuses to give him the reasons, I dislike her a bit more. Is she enjoying watching him heartbroken and desperately trying to piece together whatever happened between them? He's been trying to confront their past because he needs answers and she's refusing to provide them. If DO is self-centered and selfish, she's ten times worse.
And don't even get me started on how she handled the HN situation. If the father of the kid is DO and she denied him his parental rights over a stupid misunderstanding, she'll immediately become one of my least liked female leads...
The fact that she never tries to explain to DO why she left him (according to his POV) is so frustrating like…
I agree. I don't ship them because I don't like her. I wouldn't forgive a person who left without explanations and used my need for closure as a bargaining chip to force me to do what he/she wanted. She's also extremely rude and ungrateful. People here are focusing on DO's flaws (he has a lot ngl), but her personality is far more dislikable and he deseves better. She was a bad girlfriend because she left without dignifying him with an explanation. The guy cherished her and she couldn't go to him and talk about whatever misunderstanding they had had? This means she never trusted him or respected him as her partner. He's better off without her.
Frustrated that the kiss scene was cut. Having a feeling that it won't happen. But watching the preview for episode…
I don't think he's terminally ill. If anything, he may need a donor and that's how AJ will tell him about HN (A scenario I'd totally HATE). HN could be a donor if she's his daughter. I hope this story doesn't turn melo on us because I won't like it AT ALL. I want it to be silly and entertaining, not dark and depressing .
OK... You're my new bestie XDI feel the same... And like we're the only ones thinking this way.... I thought I…
Ignore the ones who bash you. These are fictional characters and you can say whatever you want about them. If there's someone who bashes you for having an opinion, that's their problem.
Dae Oh is the only character who does something. He may be annoying but the plot only moves forward if he makes…
It's okay. I answered your question. I like Dae Oh because I feel he's the only character that makes the plot move forward. He's the one that gets things done, and the one who never hides things. He's refreshingly honest and straightforward. That type of personality is not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.
If that was wrong, keeping the father of your daughter in the dark about the existence of said child because you were angry with him and couldn't bother to talk to the guy about it, is just straight up insane. That's messed up and extremely selfish. There's no two ways about it.

She's the worst female lead I've seen in a while!
Poor DO and HN. All that wasted time.
I'm beyond upset.
