True that. I'm counting it as hopeful ending. Because there's a real chance for him. I was referring to the new drama you mentioned. Sadly, waiting for it can't cure my withdrawal syndrome.
You have several points. My take:1. Bad directing. They made it look like everyone waited for him to get stabbed…
I also need a rewatch about PSJ. That fight went so fast. But YL's death scene was too dragged. I was reluctant to rewatch it.
Oh. I mean the part where fake BJ deceived ZYC and gave him a nail to control ZYZ. BJ (possessed by LL) claimed he made that nail to make up for what he did to ZYZ.
The more I think about it, the more disappointed and sad I am about how they did some of the characters' deaths...…
You have several points. My take: 1. Bad directing. They made it look like everyone waited for him to get stabbed repeatedly. ZYC was pretty strong at that point, but he stayed down for so long? Makes little sense. There's also this plot hole of LL killing his close friend's grandson after sparing him earlier for that exact reason.
2. Gosh the writing issues. We never see BJ properly apologize to ZYZ. Funnily enough, the only time he mentions wanting to fix what he did to ZYZ, turns out to be the possessed BJ. We never see WX find out about ZYZ's scar or his pact with ZYC. But the plot later assumes she knows. We also, as you mentioned, never see BJ's mother mourn him or the team's reunion with BJ. Many things about BJ in general felt rushed.
3. You mean like "Leave my new friend's body and your powers behind and get into this branch and recultivate. This is proof that I care for you"? There was a conversation about this and I personally think it's a far reach. This would still make Li Lun think ZYZ cared about BJ more. Li Lun isn't a charitable character and didn't have the lower hand anymore. Why take an offer that had less for him and more for others? Besides, wasn't it too risky to show him the only leverage they could have.
About the fight, isn't it a little too demanding of ZYZ? He was weaker than an average human at that point.
I think 4 and 5 were best explained by Stellovet. 5 is something I'm still not totally convinced about. But oh well...
People in this comment section would jump at any opportunity to sht on certain characters. And if each of them…
I agree. They're weird. We all have our most and least favorites. Heck I have a lot of criticism about certain performances. But while those people only have eyes for one character/actor, they spend most of their time on others. Can't figure them out really.
I think I watched another version of Ying Lei's death, where it wasn't some pointless dramatic flare.ZYZ was powerless,…
People in this comment section would jump at any opportunity to sht on certain characters. And if each of them got 3 accounts, you can imagine the mess. As long as it doesn't affect their favorite, and it's pretty clear which character they never nitpick.
Seeing people's reaction, or lack thereof, to ZYC not even counting YL as a teammate, I suspect this isn't really about Ying Lei, but about ZYZ.
I bet if ZYZ had shown the twig earlier, just for it to be snatched away by LL, they'd be calling him an idiot for showing off their last bargaining chip while not in a state to protect it.
No offense but you almost sound like WX just needs to have a male partner. Even if she doesn't see him in that…
I get your point. And it's a lovely take. But whether I agree or disagree, what you said further cements that even without her, the ZYZ we know would exist. He'd chosen the road opposite Li Lun long before he met her. And would still dedicate himself to protecting both worlds regardless.
Knowing her and others only made him less suicidal. He still believed he deserved to die. He just didn't want to anymore. And it's apparent that while he would give his life for her without hesitation, she wasn't ready to do the same.

What affected ZYZ's character the most was Zhao Wan Er, his own interactions with the humans and maybe Li Lun. The ZYZ we got to know was the way he was because of that. WX and the team only made him wish to die less. Which achieved little considering he still ended up sacrificing himself for them.
Yes.

Btw if you don't mind, please use spoiler tag🤍

ZYC wasn't registering for national defense. He was having a conversation about their group of friends. And they were 6 friends. Not 5.

Get a power boost? His enemy ended up having the power.
Killing the villain? His enemy did it.
Changing the world's racism? His enemy did it.
His journey? To find his enemy. Who ended up finding him instead.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying ZYC did nothing. But his role revolves around understanding and helping the main character solve things.
Person: ZYC is the hero though.
Me: how so?
Person: Main couple didn't have screentime. I came here for them
