I liked how the storyline is multi-layered in an interesting way, but I think the whole production, editing and…
Well, the YT version isn't called UNCUT for funsies. The TV version was only half as long. All those "unnecessary scenes" are a gift to the fans, what used to be given as "deleted scenes" when DVDs were still "in". It's a bonus.
Because a lot of BL fans hate Saint. Even big BL pages and groups are not posting about it! Just a few! Do you…
It goes WAY back to Love By Chance. AFAIR, Saint was the only actor from "outside", from a different agency and he got hugely popular because of this drama, like he overshadowed everyone else. The studio really didn't like it. They stopped inviting him to events and even spread false rumors about him prostituting himself to the execs and whatnot - yes, it was actually proven that the people behind Perth Tanapon did it back then (not Perth himself, mind you, and he then changed managers) - but the internet generation being what it is, sucked it up like a sponge, especially Perth's stans, and till this day it's the hill on which they are ready to die, that Saint is an attention grabbing, homophobic wh*re. They don't listen to any reason, any proofs, nothing. It's why Saint started his own company because that studio behind LBC basically blacklisted him and made it nigh impossible for him to work in the industry.
Frankly, if you didn't like the first episode, then you won't like the series. It's not pure romance, it's an action drama/mystery so there will be long periods of action and investigation. And also fantasy so there will also be long periods of past life exploration and mythology. If you are not into that, this drama isn't for you.
Also, the first episode established how the main five became such a close-knit unit, Tharn's premonitions, the fantasy element and someone got offed which will have a big impact on future happenings... So I guess "barely established anything" really depends on your idea of establishing anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Someone's out to get The Sign and rating it low lol
I bet. It's a Saint Suppapong production after all and for some reason, there are people out to get him. I have never seen so much unfounded hatred aimed at a person, especially not at someone who is known to be as kind as him. It's like some clique made it their goal in life to go after him and his works specifically. Only his Let's Fight, Ghost escaped that fate because it reached a much wider, actually unbiased public via Netflix.
Yup, every time Way grips Babe's shoulder, he's using his powers to manipulate his mind, this insidious whispering of "you don't need anyone" is messing up with Babe's mind big time. I wonder how Babe will find out what's happening. Or if it's going to be Charlie who will realize there's something odd about Babe's hot and cold behavior - they make up and one talk with Way and Babe's hating him again. Babe will be devastated when Way's betrayal comes out.
why is she dressed after turning human again? they should have just not stated at all that they will be naked..…
Because it wouldn't pass censorship otherwise, "showing" her naked in the middle of a street, in front of a man, however decently they would've shot it, especially a teacher figure. Kdrama just recently allowed actual realistic kisses instead of dead fish pecks. I mean, they can have a crazy murderer for a protagonist but they have to blur a knife ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I know Bo Geum is the mountain spirit that started the Han women's curse but he seems to be on the leads' side.…
He made a mistake. He reacted in anger after his beloved died, without having all the facts, and wronged Hae Na's family. Since then he's been basically stuck trying to undo it.
I see people complaining about the lack of chemistry between Babe and Charlie - or between Pavel and Pooh - but I think it's understandable. Pooh plays Charlie who pretends to be someone else. Charlie plays at being a bespectacled nincompoop, a big golden retriever puppy, just in for the fun. But it's a front. He's a man with a plan. You can see that when he drops his act, he's a completely different person. And Babe? He's in it for the sex at the moment. That's it. It's not love at first sight. He just needs someone to do him and that's it. He isn't looking for romance or a relationship. It's just casual sex.
Also, that Babe is unlikable? Well, he admits it himself that he's constantly on edge and frustrated because his senses are going haywire. He might claim to be an Alpha but he's definitely NOT an Alpha. I have no idea what he is - I haven't read the book, I have no patience for horrible translations and the translations of Thai books are always horrible, even the official ones (I'm looking at you, Dark Blue Kiss!) - but he's not an Alpha. Or every other Alpha would also have super senses. And they don't. Ergo. No wonder he seems unlikable. At the risk of sounding New Age, he's simply not in touch with himself. Until he admits to himself what he is and gets what he needs instead of trying to "cure" his symptoms with sex with whoever is available, he won't be likable.
I’m on the first episode and this is seriously bothering me how is it that we’re five seconds in and the sister…
Well, you are dropped right in the middle of what's going on to show you the current situation of the FL. Then the story rewinds and starts from the begin again. This is all explained in the very first episode?
I loved the scene where Do Guk's mom went all, "Oh, gosh, at last! Someone said to my face that I'm an evil step-mother. Now I can *finally* stop trying so hard not to be one!" She's amazing!
that's why i dont them to make it romantic between them bcz clearly they will try to make him bad while he is…
Yeah. When Woo Hak was all, let's find Ki Ho - Bo Geol said no. When Woo Hak was all, let's go tell the cops - Bo Geol said no. When Woo Hak insisted that Mok Ha had the right to know the truth - Bo Geol said no. When Woo Hak wanted to know the truth himself - Bo Geol said no. And suddenly, Bo Geol changes his mind and does a 180 and when Woo Hak suggests that it might not be a good idea, he's unlikable? What? Like... what?! He's just doing what Bo Geol has been doing for 6 eps straight. But when Bo Geol does it, it's righteous. When Woo Hak does it, it's selfish. Right. Alright. Sure.
We don't have everything laid out, Yi Joo u-turn, accident wasn't fatal. Rewatch the scene, a large truck behind…
No, she didn't kill him but she smashed into his car that then got plowed into by a truck. If you push someone under the bus, it's still going to be you caused the person's death, not the bus driver who couldn't stop it from happening. Unless the truck driver was sent to kill Do Guk. So...?
Do Guk must've died that day somehow, so either he died in the accident she caused or he was murdered later on the way she was. Or he came from another future, the one happening now. But still someone did him in, the question remains who.
So, Do Guk was in the black car that Yi Joo hit in the intersection when she made the illegal U-turn, huh? Now, did she actually kill him or was he murdered by his older brother in the hospital like she was murdered by her step-mother? Is that the reason why he hates his brother so much and why he tends to go for his throat the way Yi Joo is after her step-mom?
I wonder if there is an actual reason for why Lee Seo Joon behaves the way he does. Like Ran Joo's ex-manager told her, you have your reasons for what you do and he has his.
I mean, we are meant to sympathize with Ran Joo but if your singer suddenly and without any explanation whatsoever turned into a regular sot who can't perform even the simplest of songs and only makes shameful scenes up to and included fake suicide attempts that cost your agency money and reputation? Yeah, I would also do my best to oust her from the agency. Let's not forget that he is acting on limited info - he doesn't know about her throat problems - and she is known for her very, very, VERY poor decision-making. Loyalty reaches only so far.
Just sayin' that we are only seeing it from her POV and the story is deliberately set so as to make us take her side. But me thinks that it's not so black and white.
surprised by quite lot of negativity in the comments, while the rating is so high... odd
Because it's "cewl" to be derisive and hate on everything these days. And if there's no objective reason, they make something up - "Am I the only one who..." - or they blow some detail totally out of proportion. And like-minded people flock to them. It's the herd mentality.
Whenever I hear Yul go all uncle this and uncle that, I'm reminded of the drama Thirty But Seventeen. The relationship between the uncle and the nephew was just as sweet there and they also fell for the same woman - not that said woman paid any romantic attention to said young nephew at any point but yeah.
