On My Roommate Is a Detective May 6, 2020
It's been some time since i watched a detective drama so refreshing! All characters fit their roles very good! The cases were very well described, with many details (haha the actor of Lu Yao must have had a hell of a time memorizing the script:))) For the 1st time, I wouldn't have minded more episodes with more cases! Usually I hate romances because of the main female characters that tend to be weak, but Bai Youning was cute, feminine and strong also! A perfect amount of romance.Would love a season 2! The bromance was there also, very well budgeted drama from the looks of it and worth a rewatch. Hope to see more dramas like this one. The only negative that i have is the english parts..Chinese dubbing voice over is ok,.but the English voice over have always seemed weird haha.

Title The Untamed
Love how everyone is still stuck on this drama we are all trapped in a hole hm I wonder how it’ll be when HOB…
HOB is actually more popular in china that MDZS(The Untamed), so, unless they ruin the characters with heterosexual romance or make a mistake in cast, I would saw that it will go well:)

Title The Untamed Spoiler
who is really the bad person evil plot man . mr nei i dont know or jing guang shen
Just passing by here since I haven't been on The Untamed page for awhile, but, neither in the novel nor in the drama do we see Huaisang telling Mo XuanYu about summoning WWX. It is heavily implied tho that Huaisang did meddle into this, but it's all supposition.(let's remember that WWX said at one point that he doesn't remember how it was being dead and his spirit couldn't be summoned. So his soul must have been somewhere..in some spirit trapping pouch maybe). The author of the novel also didn't mention this in any of her interviews. I guess it's probably because she wanted to keep Huaisang in the section of morally grey characters that might or might have not caused the dead of an innocent with his own hand (because technically he only caused the death of corrupt people: Mo family, Xue Yang, and endangered others).

Finally finished watching it and it's a pretty decent drama. Few spoilers in the comment below.
I'll start with saying that Dong-er started of as a nice character and ended up almost being hated by me due to her voice that was so annoying. The romance with Aha, that everyone was pissed about, was nonexistent, and her close friendship with Tang Fan, helped him make a friend and ally in Wuyun who helps a lot in the last few episodes. Consort Wan was great! Emperor seems weak in comparison :)) but still lovable, I would say. HP for all 3 main characters and it is worth re-watching from time to time when you get bored and have nothing else to watch . If you still wonder whenever to watch this or not, do it if you enjoy: humor, some detective skills, likable characters, bromance between a trio, politics and cross dressing( haha, yep, didn't forgot about that - Lovable lady Tang Fan haha). JC did pretty decent with this drama!

From what i heard.. this is adapted from a bl novel..
It's not. It's not adapted from any novel at all, never mind BL.This drama had a script made specially for drama adaptation. The rumor was spread due to various BL fans that think that all chinese dramas are adapted from novel.

Title The Untamed
I have never watched any chinese drama before ....So should I start with this drama ??What do you guys think ??…
Just a personal opinion here from me is to NOT start with The Untamed! The Untamed has many..MANY details that are easier to understand if you have already read the novel. And, has many key stuff that kdramas don't, more specifically, the cultivation stuff ( you might not be able to fully enjoy it if you have never watched a wuxia/xianxia genre before. As a kdrama fan, I started off with Nirvana in Fire , a fantasy/historical/political/revenge orientated chdrama ,and from there, I moved on with other fantasy ch dramas:)

Yep tang fan put himself poisoned ?
Tang Fan feels responsible since Dora did get hurt because she was impersonating him! So him poisoning himself for a cure is not that far fetched. As for romance..I don't think there will be any, unless implied. Based on the trailer, I see more investigation and dramatic stuff ( WangZhi impersonator that was given a mask and might return at a key point; the consort who we see in the trailer dressed in army armour, TangFan possible promotion since we see him dressed in dred robes and more) , rather than romantic emphasis on Dora/TangFan . Also, Wang Zhi doesn't know that TangFan is now ill! He is quite busy lol:))) with that bomb that he was given on last episodes:))

Title The Lost Tomb 2 Spoiler
For me, second season was better than the 1st, especially for the characters of Wu Xie and Pang Zi. Many people…
Season 1 is about a tomb riding that Wu Xie makes, along with his Uncle, a friend (that doesn't appear in The Lost Tomb 2) and Fatty Wang + mysterious Zhang Qiling (which this is all you need to know about him lol, since no details are given about him - For the Zhang family, you need to watch The Mystic Nine prequel). Here, they meet A Ning, a woman that work for an American old man who wants the secret to..some kind of artifact that can give immortality (this guy also appears in The Mystic Nine as a young adult). They interact alot in the tomb, help each other, and find a part if an artifact . Season 2 starts with Wu Xie finding out that his Uncle has left in a new tomb ride and cannot be found. He goes after him to search for him together with a team where along the season, they find out mysteries of the past that involves his family and that artifact that may give the secret of immortality (which Zhang Qiling may have know all this time)

Hi! The Lost tomb 2 is a direct continuation of The Lost Tomb, with different cast.Personally, before getting into the fandom, I have watched TLT 2 first :D I had a moment of wtf for the 1st episode since I had no idea what is happening, but got over it since it was explained later on what happens. So, to answer your question, yes! You can watch the sequel before the 1st series. If you want a small summary for where season 1, click on the comment with spoiler below, in case you want to start with S2 also and to avoid confusion:)

Title Winter Begonia Spoiler
Episode 33 where Chen Ren Xiang does suicide while performing is heartbreaking and the moment where XiRui is devastated…
True! The acting is incredible! I don't know how he does it with changing the mimic so fast and all the emotion that the actor is releasing into Shang XiRui's character!Even the fact that he made me love Peking Opera which before this, in my ears, it just sounded and looked bad.. Regarding the ghost marriage, apparently it's a thing not only in Chinese tradition, but in some European countries as well. Remember I saw once a documentary with France about that. Creepy I would say... To make things even more sad, I found out from the comments that the song from this WB song has a real story behind it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpB0SvrXPc4 Apparently an opera performer who was forced by the Japanese to perform for them, burned the theater while performing killing the attendance and himself....No wonder the song was used for Winter Begonia..just splendid and tragic

Rooting for Wang Zhi here~Lol:)) Such a grey character with dubious morality, but so good! Hard to believe that the actor is a newbie! All characters have very good charisma together!

Spoiler ahead: This should be tagged as tragedy as well. From episode 33 onward, everything goes downhill for…
Episode 33 where Chen Ren Xiang does suicide while performing is heartbreaking and the moment where XiRui is devastated by Xiao Lai's death and rape (ep 35,36) is even more! Man..don't know how I will be able to watch the next episodes...Tho I know that the novel has an open ending while both leads alive, I am really curious how the drama will actually end.

is this worth watching? I watched the first one bc of the actors but it turned out pretty good. however the second…
For me, second season was better than the 1st, especially for the characters of Wu Xie and Pang Zi. Many people are reticent to watch it due to YangYang not having the role of Zhang Qiling, but the actor that replaced him here does a good job!

Can anyone tell me the order to watch the lost tomb, the mystic 9 and tomb of the sea please. I wanna watch everything…
The order is the following: The Mystic Nine (main plot is around the Zhang family and the Japanese war - the drama is very different from the novel, too much emphases on the villains than the good guys and it can drag quite a bit ), The Lost tomb 1 (here you have the main characters the grandchildren from The Mystic Nine, especially the Wu family which is not very mentioned and the mysterious XiaoGe/ Zhang Qiling), the Lost Tomb 2 ( continuation of TLT1 but main actors changed. Season ends is a cliffhanger and is not continued in the next sequel), The Lost Tomb 3( different cast once again, happens in the future, will air in 2020, possibly between May-August), Tomb of the Sea ( happens when Wu Xie is already older). Personally I watched TLT 2 before all of the series, lol:)) I liked the cinematography and the actors more and I understood more or less the plot.
