Fluffy romcom for when you have nothing else to watch!
Another drama i took so long to watch, well tbh agter reading the comments I had give up watching this, but I found it in a fluffy romcom list, and thats the genre I really like, plus i had nothing else to watch soo why not just give it a chance.It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad at all. If you have nothing else to watch, you like fluffh romcom, then you can watch this. Its nothing great, but I've definitely seen worse, and I don't regret watching it.
I liked the ML and FL together, I also dont really like older woman and younger men show, but the second couple was okay, I liked them (if you get passed how fast they got together 😄), the thurd couple... I just skipped them eventually when needed, there was no need for them to be a couple tbh!.
I liked how when the FL and ML finally got together, the FL didn't just accept right away, it made sense the way she was thinking, if you watch it you'll understand.. don't want to spoil it, but I'm happy that she didn't just accept him right away after trying to woo him for so long, she wanted to make sure that it was "real" and he was genuine. I don't mind the ending, for a fluffy, simple show, it was fine.
Ps. I've come to realize I just need to watch whatever I feel like, reagrdless of comments, rating etc, you just never know what you'll find. It definitely satisfied the drama slump I was in, and there is no heavy angsty stuff, so again.. if you're into fluffy romcom, that's simple you may like this, if not then you may not like this, either way, whether you give it a try or not its up to you! 😉😊

Better than 95% of Japanese movie/drama's I saw
This show was better than i expected, I've seen my fair share of Japanese movies and drama's and this one apart from the typical anime type acting, the story, romance, kisses they were all executed very nicely. I actually was expected something else but it ended wayyyy better than I thought.I am very impressed with the ML acting tbh, he was very convincing in his role, and you can see how genuine he was towards the FL. I could tell he just loved that girl and the way he cried whenever he shared his emotional thoughts was also very beautiful as well.
The romance for this show did not feel forced as well, I loved the way it happened, I loved the way how they seem to care for each other, an love each other. Truly one of the best Japanese romance movie/drama I ever saw, even though it was a movie I personally didn't feel like I was missing something, very content.

Great story, marvelous acting
I can't remember when I was checking out this drama, but after I read somewhere about the ending, I thought I might end up wasting my time, so i decided not to watch this. But after watching unforgettable love, I love this actress, still didn't watch this then, but after watching Love under the full moon with the ML, I felt sooo sad, i went to check out his drama's and i was shocked it was him in this.. also, I saw that there is a special ending so i decided to give it a chance.This is one of the first historical drama where it was very entertaining through, I didn't find it draggy, i did skip some stuff but it was because I didn't have the heart to watch it lol.. that brings me to this next point, the acting in this was just great, apart from a few great drama's recently, I haven't found a drama which such an interesting story and great acting all around the cast, even the bad guy/girl she was too good, those were the scenes i skipped, she was way too bad for me lol her acting was soo good, it was too good i hated her character lol. The ML he did a great job as the general, from seeing him in romcom, and then this historical drama, he was soo dashing, handsome and played his role sooo well, very impressed. The FL also did a great job, especially when she went through her "special" circumstances, she did her role very well. The supporting cat was great, both the princes with different personalities were great. Even the FL maid left an impression on me.
The story was also pretty good, there were a lot of comedic moment, lots of sweet and beautiful moments and later on in the episode, the angst was just... I had to prepare myself to watch some episode. Also, tbh I felt like we needed an explanation about the ending, and the beginning of the special, but I'm not gonna complain. My rating includes how i felt after watching the special, that's why I was satisfied, I like leaving a drama satisfied, not emotional in anyway, all 35 plus the special made me feel satisfied.
It was a good watch, no regrets watching this, and that's with the special too.

This drama is actually pretty good, I saw 7.9 and I thought it wasn't good, but after watching it halfway I was so surprised how lighthearted, funny and super sweet this drama is.The biggest plus for this drama is addressing some clichés, when the ML was jealous the FL talked to him about it, and he adjusted and changed his approach to certain situations. Also when something major happened twice the FL mentioned the word breakup, the ML told her the first time when things happen you can't mention breakup at will, they should face things together. The second time she did it, there was no reason for her to do so, I understand she was emotional at the moment, but again you can't just say that on the whim and think it's okay, i loved what he said to her when things cool down and she wanted to change her mind “Love that can be easily abandoned will not be cherished.”. I love how they address this "break up" trope that's always in these drama's. These are a few things about this drama I really liked.
The FL did a great job with playing both roles, the personalities were definitely polar opposite.
The romance is soooooo super cute, the chemistry between the leads is just sooo sweet, they looked like a real couple. I also loved all the sweet kisses, oh my... the title of the drama really suits it, it really did make my heart smile.
There were a few issues, which is fine, but no major drama, I wouldn't say there is any major breakup either, everything is pretty light regardless. There is a second male lead, and tbh he's handsome but he really needed to have some respect for the FL and ML relationship, like who confesses to someone publicly who's already in a relationship, idk what's happening with these SML, smh.
There was a comment in the first episode, I read about it prior to watching the show, I think this is the only issue with the show, I wish they had kept that out, it would have been much better, there was really no reason to made the comment, I still watched the show, because apart from that it was really a gem, one of those really lighthearted and entertaining, sweet and lovely drama, and it's such a shame for the low ratings, but I also understand for those who were offended.

Reviewed solely as a Taiwanese drama
I wanted to watch this since maybe earlier this year, but I could not get over episode one, it was soooooo boring, so I dropped this drama. Somehow I keep coming back to this drama, so I checked out the comment section and honestly, soo many bad comments I changed my mind and decided not too watch anymore, then again I couldn't shake it, I really wanted to know why the rating was so high and the comments so bad, so I went ahead to watch.The drama after the first 2 episode, as someone else mentioned, I watched it with the speed at around 2x, after i got to episode 3 i changed it to 1.25x, I started to enjoy the drama, the whole story of going into the comic and so one was pretty great, the romance was beautiful and the chemistry with the leads was amazing, best I've ever seen for a Taiwanese drama, tbh, it was great chemistry, and then there was episode 12 hahahaha... you got to watch to know, I kept wondering "What am I watching" hahaha, they really have great chemistry in this, it makes up for all the scenes with he power struggle in the real world, you can skip those if you want.
so my rating and review is based solely on the fact that as a Taiwanese drama, it was pretty good, minus the power struggle stuff and how slow the first two episode is. I personally think for those reasons it definitely deserve the rating it got. Truly one of the best Taiwanese romcom out there. I also didn't realize how naturally beautiful the FL was,, even with the ugly clothes, she is soo beautiful, I've only seen her in 2 movies, it's my first drama with her. ML is very handsome and a good actor as well.

Hmmm.. could have been better
This show started out very interesting and it was sooo funny, but then in the middle it started to get a little boring and draggy. At first I wanted to watch it, it seemed interesting also it has high rating, but then the comment section was saying that it was draggy, boring, so on.. but then I cannot remember why i decided to still watch this, but I did. I'm not sure whether to say I regret, but I only stick with it because I had already invested time, so I ended up continuing watching it with the 2x speed, that's how I was able to finish it. I wish they had change up some stuff in the middle of the show, that would have made a huge different, I like the different story of the gumiho turning into a human, no other fighting other species, just a nice love story, but it need more work. I never ever say this, but I don't think this show deserve such high rating, Idk how it got this much, I've seen so many other kdrama that was 100 times better than this show and ratings is less.Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing chemistry and beautiful love
This drama was really amazing, i had it in my playlist since the first trailer came out, but didn't watch it until now, 8 months later, I guess i was concern it may be one of those with a break up and just have my heart hurting r something, but then i decided it was in my playlist for too long and i should watch it. I was hooked from the first episode, though my expectations wasn't high i knew it was gonna be good, but not that good, it was way better than i expected, the FL was so beautiful, intelligent, well dressed and she was not annoying in any way at all, the ML was soo handsome, not cocky and mean, he was also intelligent and hardworking, they had amazing chemistry and i dare to say one of the best couple i ever saw in a cdrama.The friend was a tiny bit annoying when they got to college, but then it was whatever, everyone did amazing in there roles, nothing was left to question, i didn't find any plot holes either, i finish the drama well satisfied, haven't seen a drama in a long time that the entire last episode was filled with pure happiness, and not just the las 10 mins, that was really good.
there is soo much i can say about this drama, but i may end up writing a book here hahaha, so i'll just say this couple, this drama, the story, the acting it's a 10/10 for me ad i usually don't give 10/10, i enjoyed this. I binge it without being overly obsessive or anything haha, it was a great watch, you can watch this in any mood at any time, its not heavy on drama, its just really great, and the message as well was great, about changing your life, making dreams into reality.

Simple
I watched this drama because I'm currently waiting for 2 new drama's to finish airing and subbed, Also because Simon Gong is in it, I really do enjoy his acting.This drama was pretty simple, I loved the story to be honest, it really wasn't bad, but i did skip through a lot never the Main Couple, but the secondary couple and charcaters. I absolutely love how the guy chased the girl, it made this drama really nice seeing this.
As much as i did skip through, the acting was good. Simons Gong has thing thing with his eyes, he can literally make you feel so sorrrry for him, or fell in love with him simple by his eyes, that's pretty unique and i love that about him, it makes his acting special. The FL she's pretty new, but i love her character in this, she wasn't annoying at all, and she wasn't boring, she wasn't a ditz either.
The chemistry was okay, it was there but it was simple okay. There were a few things that i thought, oh my gosh are you kidding me hahahaha.. but hey, it was a good watch, i finally got it off my watch list. I think if they had change up some stuff, this drama would have been much better.
If you wanna watch to occupy your time, bored, in between a drama you're waiting for (like me) then go right ahead and watch.

Sweet
This was very simple, short and sweet. I really cannot complain. This is one of the best after story I have ever seen, its short but I loved it because it made me feel full. Some drama you watch and it leaves you wanting more in a bad way, it's like the ending satisfactory. But this after story was great, I like that it left us pleased and satisfied. I give a 10 because its just a short after story, its like it completed the drama. The only thing i would have been greedy for is to see a little more with a kid, but seeing the wedding was quite enough .Was this review helpful to you?
Great story and chemistry
I'm writing this review after re-watching, I first watched the drama while it was airing, but never wrote a review. I just re-watched it and decided to write my review now.This was the third xianxia drama I've seen, and its the first drama i watched while airing, i just happened to see it on Viki and thought it looked great so I watched it, waited every week for the episodes and subs, it was also my first drama with Xu Kai and Bai Lu who are now two of my favorite Chinese actors.
This drama was pretty good, the chemistry between the leads were great. the only issue is that it did get a little bit draggy closer to the end, and there were some bad editing, which is no fault to the story and actors, so i stuck with my 9/10 because well i watched it twice so i really enjoyed it.
You'll love the story for this drama, you'll maybe cry for some of the deaths, and you'll be very angry and furious with the villains, trust me if i could have gone into the screen i would have, that's how furious i was with the villains, they played the role too good, i hated them soo much loool.
Give this drama a chance, lots of beautiful faces, great storyline, a great message as well "We're not always right", and "We should always check ourselves first before pointing a finger at someone else, because we might end up being the worse one" soo many things you can take away from this, and the best enjoyment you can have.

Sooooo sweeet
This was such a sweet and romantic show, and it's my first time giving a full score for music in a cdrama, the music in this was sooooo good.I loved the FL she was soo mature in this, she's older than the ML in the drama, but she was still very mature and sweet, wasn't annoying or anything. The ML did a great job with his role as well, they both had such a great chemistry, i find there chemistry in this better than ML other drama put your head on my shoulder.
I have no complaints with this drama, it was a great watch, for those who love romcom, and tons of sweetness between the lead then this is for you, any misunderstandings they deal with it vert maturely, loved that.

Best body swap drama
This drama was really good, the whole body swapping was done very, you can truly tell when they switched, there personality, speech and conduct when swapped was on point,I really have to give props to the ML and FL they both did a great job with this concept. The chemistry and kissing scenes were great, soo sweet, its real kisses too lool, you could see the passion and love between leads.
I did read some comments regarding the ending, and also read it's because of passing the censorship in China, not sure how true that is, but if that's the case its very understandable and i personally have no complaints about it.
The drama got a tiny bit draggy, but tbh not for a long time, its very very minimal, but the comedy, you'll surely laugh out loud with some of these scenes and with the acting, I enjoyed it soo much, great laughs so i have no regrets.
I recommend the drama for those who love romcom, it's sooo funny and the romance is sooo sweeet, hmm... hahaha cheers to the MC

Great movie version
This is a movie version to "Itazura na kiss", I've seen all but the Thai version, I'vealso seen the anime as well. I love the story so much. This movie Verizon is short, but it has all the important details in it.The love letter for this one is the best from all the versions, i went online and saw the translation and trust me, after i read it i fell more in love with this version, who wouldn't fall in love with FL after reading that, it was truly the sweetest thing ever.
I also love how they show you at the end all the hidden emotions and feelings the ML had for the FL, when we thought he didn't care, he did care a lot and i loved that they did that for this version, makes the ML more likeable than other versions.
All in all, its short and though it does not have all the content like the other dramas, it was pretty good. I've seen it twice, and about to watch it right now again, its perfect for one of those 2am late night and you cannot sleep, but need a really short and sweet Asian movie to watch.

Beautiful romance
I was really hesitant to watch this because it had an 8.0 rating, so I didn't think it would have been good, but this exceeded my expectations to the point where i binged watched this in 2 days lool. Definitely deserve a higher rating than what it has, I can't believe i almost didn't watch this. If you're like me and you're on the edge i hope my review helps you to reconsider and give it a chance.I love the chemistry between the MC, they did a phenomenal job with there roles. there romance was sooooooo wonderful as well. I definitely wouldn't say that the story was totally cliche. I find in some easy its pretty different than other historical drama, regarding the reveal of the fake princess that's why I didn't think it was too cliche, it was pretty unexpected the way they handled it and i loved that. It was so wonderful.
you'll get annoyed at a certain someone, but i skipped there part, i was interested in everything else but that character lol.
I totally recommended this, after i watched something so emotional and deep like love and redemption, i watched a couple other dramas and couldn't get over it still, then i watched this and i got over it, this is sooo funny, sweet and the romance was wonderful. Truly not like the typical historical, its a breathe of fresh air. Its very lighthearted, not too deep in the political stuff, but it was very good. I love the romance so much and there is no love triangle #Bonus.

Wonderful Drama
I was looking forward to this drama and waited for it to air and finish before watching. Im sooo happy that i watched it, it was my favorite drama of 2020, and there was a lot of wonderful Cdrama that can easily be favorites as well.. but this one, idk it just touched my heart.I absolutely loved the MC, they were just beautiful, i loved the idea of a strong ceo female lead, she chases the guy, but it was soo funny and different, i loved her character. ML was great as well, he was so real and sweet, his back story would make you feel so much compassion for him you may just cry. What i loved is that in the second half, they both had character development, we see the things they struggled with in the first half changes. It was a really great drama, I can't wait to rewatch this. I know its going to be one of those drama's that i watch once every year hahahha. Yes i loved it that much, i guess the chemistry and the emotions i got from the MC was just great for me, and there romance as well.
Give it a chance, its not your typical girl annoyingly chases the guy... its quite the reverse and they made it work!.
**I just re-watched this drama and honestly It's truly one of the best contract marriage, with an amazing ending, love it so much
