In his defense, among all adaptation, this was the most annoying one and even seems useless. But on other adaptation, he was shown as someone who capable enough, not smart like wuxie or strong like xiaoge, but someone who dependable enough. Try watching ultimate note, at the time the three of them already close, and i love ultimate note the most among other adaptation.
